hi, Since I did not experience any wrong positions, I never thought of calibrating. The reason I called it a evdev-grail issue, is because in 10.10 in the I mailed Stephane to ask how to calibrate and will post if I know more. Hi people, Sorry for the confusion, it seems I have 2 launchpad accounts. Vincent is also me :). Can anyone please point out where I should file this issue I am having? [Bug 637106] Re: XInput single-touch events aren't always filtered
Thank you for your reply. I posted here because I consider the current behaviour for my device in 10.10 a bug, since the cursor does not repond to a single touch on the screen with one finger. I am looking for a workable multitouch solution, hoping to find it in 10.10. Reading these comments I guess I better update to Natty to start testing multitouch stuff on my tablet. [Bug 637106] Re: XInput single-touch events aren't always filtered
Hi Duncan, My device is identified as a GeneralTouch Win7 TwoFinger device. The hardware ID is 0dfc:0001 . I am using a driver developed by Stephane Chatty from enac.fr . I am running Ubuntu 10.10 where I have this issue, but I have also a 10.04 install with the 2.3.35 kernel from 10.10 running with the same driver, and I do not have the issue there. About calibration: the pointer is very accurate compared to where I put my finger, so I have not had the need to calibrate it yet. Could you explain how I should do that? I'd be happy to try it out and post back. I also had a reply from Chase Douglas for some more device info. Re: [Bug 549447] Re: eGalax touchscreen configured as tablet
hi CMD, you are welcome, thanks for pointing out the PPA :)! I am on 10.04 now and already tried the vendor driver with no succes. It also did not work on 9.10. When I blacklist usbtouchscreen, there is no device loaded and nothing is recognised in Xorg. About the vendor: I do not know exactly. Unfortunately the drivers are binary and they do not work for me. I did not find a contact email adress, I think I should look harder :). I prefer evdev, but it seems hard. With usbtouchscreen driver loaded i get a proper input device, but no input if i touch the screen. This has been the problem from the beginning: no input is registered. This problem is still there in Lucid Beta, 1 day before release. [Bug 561650] Re: An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade:
i downgraded to kernel 2.6.32-19 and did a apt-get update with lucid sources. It worked, but I still have the kernel problem after the update. Besides that, my keyboard in my netbook is not recognised anymore, and after a keyboard config my left mouse button stopt working, similar to what i sometimes have in vmware workstation. I noticed that the 2.6.32-30 kernel for lucid was rebuilt about an hour ago. The might be busy with an update? Hope this bring some fixes, because my system is pretty broken. Some xorg packages and update-manager could not be fetched either. sighhh, the life of a beta tester :). [Bug 551782] Re: Not able to dist-upgrade, "calculating changes" can't solve dependencies and fail
well, it seems the karmic-updates contains kernel 2.6.32-20.33 and lucid want .21 or something. there is also a .58 version for linux-image-2.6.32.20.58 so something goes wrong there. If I check synaptic while lycid update is busy/gives error, i see that .21 version. When I check to update I get a dependency error for linux-generic. I will try to disable karmic-updates en downgrade. -- Not able to dist-upgrade, "calculating changes" can't solve dependencies and fail https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/551782 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I still experience an inlog problem to Samba with a fullu update 10.04. [Bug 544847] Re: cant browse/mount windows shares in nautilus 10.04
I also have this problem on 10.04 beta in Nautilus 2.30. I read somewhere it might have something to do with a gnome keyring. I get this error: DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus) That seems to be right, because if I mount a share and choose to forget password, it simply works. [Bug 472183] Re: Boot halts on Toshiba L505
I have the same problem on a Toshiba A200. This was no issue in 9.04 so clearly a bug as far as I am concerned. [Bug 326167] [NEW] empty trash
Public bug reported: I have a lot of items in the trash. When I try to empty it, it just hangs at about a third. The file manager icon on the right top in the bar is shown. It says 93,381 files left to delete - 5 minutes left. It has been like that for 3 days now, so i guess it does not respond. total number of files is there is 1 subfolder with: 93,368 items, totalling 7.0 GB and a zip file.
