2006-05-08 Thread Enric

I would think that some local media such as San Jose Mercury, San
Francisco Chronicle, local TV and/or radio stations may cover.  And
it's quite likely that Rocketboom and others will do segments on it.
But, I don't know if any of these are set.  I'll bring up this
question at the May 12th meeting.

The main room is rated at 334 capacity. Total venue capacity is 600.
There are 3 seperate rooms for stuff to happen in.

You can get an idea of the space by checking out the Webzine2005 Flickr

Jay,

The sooner you could nail down a date, the better, since there are lots
of conference in the spring and I'd like to reserve this one for sure!

I would rather not get a bunch of sponsors...but would rather make it
like last year where we did it on the cheap.
its possible. this lets us be as casual and in control as possible.
its what we want it to be.
We're people, not companies.  Companies don't make videoblogs,
people do.  Some day there will be a BizVloggerCon, but not this
time.

and as we discussed after last vloggercon, many of us want this one to
focus on Content.
more showing, more watching, more discussing how and what we make.
Fucking rock.  Yes, oh God yes.

Tools of course are in the topics...but its the not the sum total.

You get 2 minutes to preach about FireANT, then back to cat videos.

This year's subtitle:

"I love videoblogging, and I hear it's making a comeback!"

Ok.  So next month we nail down a date, then the fun begins.

I will start the process of planning next month.
the date will depend on the space.

i want to hear about connecting, building ad-hoc networks, how to

I can't speak for all of us, but I have room for some people here.
I'm sure all the other NYC usual suspects are willing to host guests too.

If SXSW is March 10 - 19, how about March 4 and 5?

And Andreas, you need to be here in the flesh this time.  You'll be starting to miss the U.S. by then anyway.

Jay,That's great. You are correct, NYC is actually the most convenient for travel, especially those come from abroad. This discussion has gone around several times. As far as I recall, the
upshot was that NYC in dead winter is good because tickets from
everywhere are cheap then and the fact that there are lots of vloggers
in NYC means lots of floorspace offered to vloggers coming from
elsewhere.-- best regards,Deirdré Straughanwww.straughan.com (personal)www.tvblob.com (work)
