Three Black Vultures currently (12:30-12:40) circling the observatory at Prince
Edward Point. Presumably the same birds as seen on yesterday’s OFO trip. Also
22 Little Gulls at Kaiser Cross Road.
PEPtBO is located at the end of Long Point Road in the SE peninsula of the
county.

This morning while at the Walker Industries landfill in Thorold, Niagara
Region, 3 Black Vultures flew over me slowly heading west. In the last few
months I have only occasionally seen Black Vultures at the "usual spot", aka
the Queenston area along the lower Niagara River, and usually only one
At around 1:00 pm today we had 36 Turkey Vultures and 2 Black Vultures flying
north over Lewiston, N.Y. and the Niagara River. About 20 minutes later we saw
4 Black Vultures with at least 6 Turkey Vultures perched in trees right along
the Niagara Parkway at eye level about 200 m south of the Lew
There are 2 to 3 Black Vultures currently circling with a bunch of Turkey
Vultures above the Niagara River at the top of the escarpment in Queenston.
Queenston, is located at the end of Hwy 405.

Earlier today, myself and Kyle Holloway had nine Black Vultures near the
Queenston boat ramp in Niagara.
We originally saw them kettling (without Turkey Vultures!) on the US side
and eventually they flew across the river and roosted with about a
half-dozen Turkey Vultures on the Canadi

For those still looking to nab a Black Vulture for their Ontario year lists, I
thought I'd mention that the previously reported birds are still being seen
along the Niagara River, in the town of Queenston, just north of Niagara Falls.
Viewing is from the Locust Grove Picnic Area.

Dad and I just saw 2 Black Vultures and 1 Turkey Vulture near Queenston.
The birds appeared to be leaving a roost on the Ontario side of the river
about 200m upriver from the traffic circle near the Brock monument. I
assume they are at the dump in the USA by now.

vultures from Queenston Heights looking out over the town of Queenston, NY.
After a period of just over an hour beginning 12:30pm we watched a total of 6
Turkey Vultures and 6 Black Vultures fly painstakingly closer to
