Larry,
Maybe this sounds stupid, but could it not just be
a 1972 front on a 1969 model ?
or is the two models so different that its not
doable ??

depends on how many $$$ you are willing to spend.
I have used Harland Sharp on two engines now and are happy.
I have also tried the comp cams that Herb reccomend, I was happy of them too
but they are half the price nearly.
I dont think the aluminum full rollers will fit under a stock walve cover
Ron,
I have them somewhere but dont where I thought they where so I'll see if I
can find them and get back to you.

Just checked my box of Holley carb
parts. Was unable to find the part number you asked for. But,
did find part # 34R-2007 34R-9716. Call Holley Technical Dept. and
ask ifeither of these plates will work for your application.

Larry, I cant imagine why that would require major
modifications. The rear quarter panels are the same except that 69 has
rear marker lights, and the tailgates are the same. The 70-72 tail lamp lenses
also appear to be very similar in shape to the 68-69 lenses. The main
difference is that
Here's what I know so far about the differences between the 69 El Camino
Custom vs. Standard.
The custom has:
Malibu interior (well half of it)
Malibu grill
Wood-grain on tailgate
Different tail light bezels (exactly what's different I'm not sure, but they
are different part numbers)
Does
Thanks Clint and Herb,

One minor correction. I just looked at my 1969 bezels
and they are not convex on both sides of the lens. They are convex on the long
side and flat on short side. The 70-72 bezels look like they are concave on the
long side and flat on the short side. I don't have a pair of those here
So,
just for the heck of it, I opened up my Chevrolet El Camino Photofacts book,
and there's a rear 3/4 shot of a 72 on page 39, and the tail lamps sure as heck
look like 69's to me. It's definitely not a 69 either, because there are no
rear marker lights and I can see enough of the front
I do have one. Thanks for reminding me. I'm looking at it now. It seems like
the only engine that was available in the Standard El Camino was a 200HP
307. Mine came w/ a 350.

floor pans and other body work. He thinks it's a TH400 tranny, and didn't know

Kent, I'll call Holley in the morning and let you
