Dear Cobirders,
Another slow day at Twin Lakes. Mike Blatchley and I walked the

previous days. A handful of Orange-crowned Warblers and at least two Yellow
Warblers rounded out the Warbler mix. The far
Chuck,
For those of us who are kinglet crown-challenged to see any hint of
red, your typo (or was it intentional?) might end up being a new name!

Hello all,
I feel like I have dropped off the face of the birding world! I am envious of
those checking out Lamar when I live an hour away and can't get there! BUT, I
did have a beautiful indigo bunting in my yard yesterday and I am grateful to
have gotten to see it. I've had brown thrashers
Two male Orioles in the apple blossoms.

I went out for a walk along Bear Creek today hoping to see (or hear)

Hi Cobirders
Well the day started out beautiful and calm, got all the nets open and the wind
gods let loose again! A Porcupine greeted me from the willows on the opening
round. We did managed to catch 15 birds of 13 species before closing nets at

Have a small pond and waterfall in my backyard here in beautiful
downtown Smudgewater - Edgewater. Was excited to have a beautiful
male Lazuli Bunting at the pond late yesterday afternoon. Got a nice

Hi all,
Van Truan and I, and his two young sons (not birders), did a Big Day on
Saturday, 8 May in Pueblo County. We wanted to see if we could beat our own
Pueblo County Big Day record of 156 species several years ago. We were
successful in finding 167 species of birds in Pueblo County on
16 new banded, and 4 returns - 3 Yellow Warblers, 1 Chat, 1 Song Sparrow. We
continue to have a nice variety of species. Bird of the day, and likely bird
of the week was a Black-throated Grey Warbler.
Here's the breakdown:
House Wren 4
Hermith Thrush 1
American Robin 1
Grey Catbird
Among birds at Neegronda Reservoir yesterday: 2 Long-billed Curlew along the
shore among White-faced and 1 Glossy Ibis.

This evening, I couldn't believe my eyes - TWO male Luzuli's at the

for a bit, then flew off. I wonder if one of them is the same I saw
yesterday. Maybe there were two yesterday, I don't know. I got a

Hi Everyone--
I had a long weekend of birding in Kansas (migration is definitely happening
out there), and saw a few good birds in Colorado on the way. At the Lamar
