corner of the screen and then clicking "Lock" works.

FWIW, I fail to see how this is seen as a "low priority" issue as people
forget that pidgin is disconnected (every other application that I use
reestablishes its connections automatically) and cannot be reached
during this time. The only way I see an issue could be more pressing is
if the
Critical low power behaviour appears to me to be completely broken:
- "hibernate" option shown in the menu, but disabled - why would it be shown if
not selectable?
- "shutdown" option available: what possible reason could the user have to shut
down the system when the battery is critically low?
I don't have an upstream user account, so please don't mind me
commenting here:
