Hi all,
I've been having this problem for a while now and thought I'd ask and
see if I could get any insight.
We have one LMS with two Squeezeboxes in our house, and one controller
for each.
Our music is separated into two 'Collections' - My music, and my
father's music.
The folder structure
I'm glad it's not just me whose two Squeezeboxes (SB2 and SB3) both do
the 'cannot connect to the server' trick occasionally since updating to
7.5.3. They're both connected via a wired ethernet connection, too...

I noticed in another thread a photo of someone's Squeezebox Classic with
what looked like a custom now playing screen with bitrate, album name
etc displayed on the top line.
Can anyone say how this is possible?
Thanks!

It looks like you guessed right, I'll have a play later. Thanks!

other, old
SqueezeCenter server, which was on another PC but the same folder of
files (not a virtual machine).
Could it be the networking in Virtual Server 2005 causing the slowness?
In that it's gotta pretty much loop back? Anyone had any experience
with this?
Hope this makes sense!

Possibly.
Have you linked the virtual directory to the physical hard disc?
Nope. How do I do this?
Thanks

.. As far as I know nothing's changed... But I know a few weeks
ago I was trying to play high bitrate DTS / WAV files, these didn't play
because of the bitrate, but normal 1411kbit WAV files should!
Any suggestions?
Ta :)

...Any sensible suggestions?
I've just tried it on the Squeezebox downstairs and the same happens,
so something obscure has changed itself!

are a genius. I looked at those options but didn't quite fathom
what did what at the time... Unticked the FLAC one and now they play :D
I'd imagine you'd lose quality via all this transcoding, no?
And maybe that's why half my DTS files weren't working :O

OK I don't have any problem whatsoever connecting my Squeezeboxen
between multiple physical servers... But how on earth would I make
Slimserver run twice on windows? I can easily enough whack another
network card in and have another interface

I'm having the same problem. Half the time it'll try and connect, and
just stop.
