The line source /sw/bin/init.csh must not have any quotation marks and
there must be a newline (return) at the end of this line.
Otherwise check that the PATH (echo $PATH) includes the /sw/bin and
/sw/sbin directories.

have done a
mistake and deleted my .cshrc file.
now i created
a new one with the following line in it:

/sw/bin/init.csh"
the
terminal.app works well
but fink
doesn`t work now ;-(
when i want to
execute any progamm (installed with fink) i get: "com
so i have gnumeric and guppi working if i specifically startup guppie
after gnumeric. is this the default behavior or should guppi and
gnumeric be linked so that when gnumeric is started guppi starts up as
well?

Well, the problem is that mplayer is in the way. If you remove it, you
should be able to install libfame1.

I apparently have compiled and installed Evolution. Everything seemed to go
fine. However, now that I have it installed, I try to start it up using
Apples
