I am having a bit of a problem with freevo, as the docs are a little thin
in some places (understandably so). I am using Freevo over tdfxfb, and I
have switched the skin back to blue_round1 (interestingly enough, I CAN'T
set it back to back to the other one, which I thought was blue_round2).

Possibly; I have tried to maintain compatibility with the upstream
provider of the xmltv.py library so there are only minimal changes
when we add it to Freevo,

did you modify freevo to get rid of a bug in the recording portion as the
online FAQ suggests?
note, I have never ever seen the "error" reported by the bug, but performing
that step fixed my recording woes on every machine I have made (4 freevo
boxes and counting!! even my mother loves her freevo!
I'm running a redhat 9 system with freevo 1.3.4 and can watch TV just

I'm unsure how to proceed.
The docs mention running the recording daemon every minute or so (I have
a cron job set to run every minute) and I presume afte

If that allows me to do what I want then great, The confusing thing is
that there are 2 areas in Freevo that allow me to specify channells but
I am unsure which one actualy sets up the channel order. IE I can fine

Thank you for that, I know that I wont be able to pick up as many
channels using a channel numbering system (That's NTL For ya) However as
long as I can pick up a few. Untill a fine tuning tweek comes in. I will
have to download Tvtime and see it in action and get Freevo configured.
Well I hope I
I can show you how to hand hack stationlist.xml in tvtime to use custom
frequencies if you want to use 1.3.4 but a better alternative might be
to use a snapshot with my new tvtime module in my WIP directory
WIP/Ruelle/tvtime.py. And then to use a Frequency_TABLE in
local_conf.py.

There is also a Debian package available in the main apt source, so
most people should be covered.

You see all I need to do is tune my tv card in, also even if I cant get
the programme schedule can I just set the time I want it to record a
perticular channel? Just like a vcr.
I have to say, it's a very us
Hi,
iirc tvtime shows the frequency and channel number on the OSD. You can also
find some info in the ~/root/.tvtime/stationlist.xml

Well i have just got
this wonderfull peice of kit and is running somewhat ok. The only problem is
getting the tuner sorted. You see i know the chanell frequencys but not the
numbers, I live in the UK and am on NLT and i am using NTL's analouge
frequencys.
I have been using
KDE's default

Yes, IMDB changed their structure some days ago. CVS version is

hello,
is it possible that the imdb.py script doesn't work properly anymore (with
1.3.4 running)? the imdb.py -s something doesn't deliver any results and
the id's seem to have changed. they look like tt0285823 for example. i
already browsed the cvs source, but the helpers directory is empty. s
3d isn't so important for dvd/divx, playback.
A mini-itx M9000 or M1 will do fine for these tasks. I'm using a m9000
and have no problems , and I'm not using the onboard mpeg2 decoder (yet)

Well, I've tried installing video drivers for both Linux and Windows XP and
have not had any success with either. As a result of this, video is a
little sloppy and it is sluggish. I've tried all different versions of
drivers both from CD and website.
