One of the issues in deciding where to hold a Convention is finding a city with enough AJL members who are willing to volunteer to put it together. So far, we seem to find these volunteers around the larger cities which tend to have more expensive accommodations. Another consideration is Kashrut. S

Aviva, I think your suggestions concerning changing the venue for the convention are wonderful! Meeting on a college campus - provided that arrangements could be made for meals - would bring the convention to locations which would otherwise be inaccessible to us all. The group is not so large
