I agree about the options - this is key. The frustrating thing about the
whole sounds bit, is that *if* they are enabled - EVERYONE has to download
them. When I had a server running with sounds - I received sooo many
complaints about this.
I hear mani is going to add the option for users to ch
able for all the other team games. Have you ever tried to
start a clan match on a team dm server? It is a pain in the @ss.
These are legitimate server issues that I don't think should be ignored, and
to my knowledge this is the only real place to voice our opinions or
questions.
Thanks

Thanks for your clarification on "a coon's age" - but your posts still smack
of "I am better than you."
You will also notice that Valve's legendary new game which was released was
called Half-Life 2 NOT HL2DM! HL2DM and CS:S (yes they had a new name for
this as well) were both released at the same
Happy April Fool's Day everyone.

Hopefully VAC2 will work ONLY for Source games and ONLY on secure servers. I
would love to have one single focused platform which Valve continually
updates instead of them trying to half-ass support everything out there.
Let's move forward with Source and make secure servers the place to play!

Once again the beauties of a Google search or any internet search engine for
that matter would reveal a wealth of information on the subject. Don't be
so lazy peeps. If you don't know about something go learn.

Please take all these flaming posts off-list somewhere. Let's all show some
maturity and keep the list focused on server-related issues.

Disagree completely with your point. File erasing / altering so their game
no longer works is NOT unethical and wrong. Think of all the companies like
Adobe and Microsoft who have put out products which stop working (or a
portion of the product stops working) if they discover you are using an

Great idea and screw your prostitution analogy - we aren't talking about
prostitution.
No virii, no pc crashing scripts - just a simple "cheat" which is easy to
install and in the process it erases a few critical HL2 files which render
the game unplayable would be nice in my opinion.

Assume = ass of u & me. Never assume anything. This is Valve: Missed
deadlines, buggy bug fixes, and LITTLE to NO communication to us about what
is going on. Hopefully they will continue their monthly press release which

Good words. By way of example, I used to host a decent CS server on a full

friends and I would frequent besides my own. Because of VAC not working and
rampant NO STEAM clients, I shut down my server. For whatever rea
