it is very simple to do.
Install new linux distro in one of you free partion on
same disk then give entry in grub.conf (or
/etc/grub/menu.lst it is new name for new distro) to
load this new distro on selection.
i have done same with FC3 and Mandrake 10.1. if you

long back i had seen a mail regarding multiple linux on single machine and on
single hard disk. that time i was having rh9 which was latest and was happy
with the same. now i want to check out the FC also but cannot overwrite the
current rh9 as i have loads of work on it. if some one have t
boot from the 1st CD of linux installer. and type linux rescue at
the prompt.

/mnt/sysimage

hi,
have you tried the zoneCD (www.publicip.net) or the LiveCD Router? Though these
were meant to be used on wifi networks, they still work fine for wired ones
too. Since they are Live CDs, all they require are an old PC (486 will do !)
with a CDROM drive and a floppy drive. You dont even need a

The line of dmesg output you pasted has nothing to do with the total RAM
on the machine. /proc/meminfo is correct, and the machine apparently has
256MB
