If you change a folder name, all you have to do is go into Legacy and
try to load a file from the old folder name. Legacy can't find it, then
either browse for it yourself, or let Legacy do it and then all files in
that folder will be found.

Legacy can't read your mind and doesn't know how you rename a file.
The lilnks to the files are stored in the database using the file name
and path as it is at the time you link it.
Legacy can, however, find pictures that have been *moved*.

Hello all,
Today when I was rechecking my calendar for webinars, I went to the home page
and then webinars. The only ones listed are for the year 2012. Have I lost
that part of my mind?- I thought I had already registered for some in 2013 but
cannot get to them. Anyone able to lead me to the
2013 webinars are not yet available for registration. There was one
(Digital Research Guidance) that if you were registered, has been
rescheduled for 2013.
Thanks,

Have you not got a back-up - if so use FileRestore Family File. Just as
important is the question of why Legacy crashed - again?!

On reports I would like to have a space between the words/heading General
Notes and the actual contents. With notes, it's easy enough, as I can
just insert a HardReturn and leave a blank line at the beginning of the
notes.
But between the words introducing the Events and the first Event, I don't

Couldn't we go a bit further, Mark? How about some customisable PHP scripts,
as well as the SQL, so that we can write directly from the DB. This is
beginning to sound like a plan :-)

It would help if you said which reports you are using where you want the
extra space.
In the narrative reports add [cr] to the end of the event introduction
to add an extra carriage return between the intro and the first event.
If it is other style reports tell us which ones or look for an event
Sorry, forgot to say that the event intro in on the wording 1 tab of the

Oh I love that idea Ron. We could have all those lovely cool features in a
special Advanced section so that everyone else who don't want to use them can
keep their current Legacy as-is. Isn't it lovely to dream, Ron?

I'm hoping that this is considered on-topic.
Does anyone know of a program which will read the Legacy database and
produce a list of people who have UK census events missing?
In other words, If Fred Smith was born in 1857, has an 1881 census event

Not sure why it crashed- seems to hang up when I go into Pic Center to look at
what I have attached. This is from the family view screen- clicked on the

Hope that works, as I have added about 50 scans of DC's to

It will look for people who were alive on a census date and tries to

Thanks for that, Brian
I'm actually aware of the census search tool and have used it for
getting one census.
I could build a search list by running that tool for each year, but I
was hoping for a short-cut.
