Paula, you could well be correct. I googled one of the reference numbers and
was directed to a person's genealogy record created by Family Tree Maker - no
connection at all to my family as far as I know. All my ancestors are English
and this record is USA.

Paula: Yes, I'm running the latest version. The PDF also comes out
with a small font size for the sources. I'm having the sources display
as endnotes. I don't know if that makes a difference. Thank you again!

I understand completely about not resetting report options. I think that's not
a good "solution" to any problem.

Oops! Just got down to Brian's actual post, which DOES include the original

certainly helps, which is why Legacy asks for it - just not the junk at the end.

Paula,
Have you tried it with someone in your direct line whose spouse was married
more than one times? Example - if your great-grandmother spouse was married
to someone else - does his other wife show up in the descendant book form?
I've tried & tried it. Even deleted the legacy file support said
Do be aware that they will not necessarily be listed in chronological order

That is a real bummer that I hope version 8 will fix!
The original post was not shown in Brian's reply. That would have been helpful.

Paula, thank you so much for responding! This has been going on for
while now, so I have exited Legacy many times. I really don't want to
reset all of the report parameters because I've finally got everything
the way I want it. Except for the size of font for the source

Thanks Paula, no I haven't imported any data.
I could delete them individually if necessary but am curious how they got there
and will it occur again.

Jennifer,
The one thing I have done that I did not see the others mention is add the
phrase "access through participating libraries" - which I believe I first saw
in Evidence Explained. For example, for a while I was getting my census images
through HeritageQuest, via the Houston Public Library
Will double check that, but since it's supposedly attached to Alt Name, I doubt
it's on a to-do item. Have already been through the sources for that person.

Shirley,
I do enter the Census as a marriage event when the couple is married & appear
together. However, I also enter the Census event for each child enumerated,
which I think covers some of the instances Jenny describes. Further, I do not
enter the way Geoff teaches in the Legacy training.
Oh, I get it. But that reminds me: I had once reported a "phantom" source
citation. For a master source, the Show List option showed it being used by
one individual, but when I looked at the sources for that individual, it was
NOT being used. However, it WAS being used on a To-Do item for th
Thanks, Brian---I had never noticed that option before!

Shirley, These looks suspiciously like tags for GEDCOM files. Did you import
data from another application? It may be that something came into Legacy & it
didn't know where to put it, so to speak, so it recorded these really cryptic
things in the Notes fields. Just a wild guess on my part.
Judy, Thx for a chuckle today: I opened this email wondering why you would
want your widows and orphans removed from reports... haha! It was after
reading that one thread about removing husband #1 and wife #2, so my mind was
completely distracted. ;)
On a more serious note, I think they do
Judy, You might want to play around with this a bit in the sample database
before you make this sort of change for a whole family. Look into what you use
"relationship to father" and "relationship to mother" for now, and will adding
the new "step" relationship affect that? What do you want to

Try running the report for the woman instead of the man.
In another thread, someone asked about "other spouses" and I pulled up my

Barbara,
In another post here I was reminded there is an "Individual Report" separate
from the FGR. I just tested increasing the font size for source citations in
the Individual Report, and it worked for me. I know that doesn't help you
much. Have you tried exiting Legacy and running Legacy a
Barbara,
I just tested it in the Family Group Record (is that what you mean by
"individual report" ?) -- set it to 16 point font for sources and it worked.
I didn't see anything in Customize > Fonts or > Sources that might be
over-riding any given Report Options.

I just ran one for my great-grandmother, who married twice. It showed both her
husbands and both sets of children. Have you tried running one yourself? You
don't have to print it, just preview.

Thanks Paula, I've done that already. The problem is that in searching through

It's these links I need to remove, not the ones to files that have just moved

Is there any way to produce an individual report that mirrors the listing in

would be together, all residences together etc. If not is there any chance this
