hangs if I try to do View/DVI. It works if I do View/PDF (pdflatex).

I want the citation links turned off when I use the hyperref package. the
reason is that the links get turned from [1-3] to [1,2,3] for example, so
that you can click on each of them. Does anyone know how?

put hyperref in the preamble, the short caption will not show up in LOF! The
long caption show up instead. If I remove hyperref, then it all becomes
normal. But I need hyperref!

Is there a way to make LyX not use the \usepackage{babel} command? I'm using
hyperref and having Babel causes my bibtex references not to be hyphenated
properly. For now, I just export to TeX, comment out the babel package and
then convert with pdftex, but I would like to see the document

I'm a LyX newbie and I need some help.
I'm writing a document and would like to use hyperref.
I added \usepackage{hyperref} at the end of my LaTeX preamble, but when I
try to export the document to PDF I get two errors, right at the top of the
document.
The errors are:
1) TeX capacity
