repaired 5 rust holes following Bergsma's Rust repair manual. 3 years later
it still looks new. Even my bodyshop friend said that I saved over 2 grand
on the work I did .Strokes does many wonders !!

They use some nasty seam sealer on the top edge. You have to use a heat gun or
a torch to soften it up.

If rust can be repaired properly without removing fender then I'd opt for that.
Fender removal means removal of that undercoating stuff which is a job in
itself. That might also predispose to future rust if not prepped and re-
undercoated properly.

Second the new fender. I have not priced a fender for a 123 lately,
but give Q a chance. Last I knew 124 fenders and 126 fenders were
just a little over $100 each.

Fronts are relatively easy to replace, except maybe for the ones glued on.
Never did rears and I expect you'll need to fix them unless there's little
left to fix.

It those establishments were autobody shops then being reputable will not
change anything. Body shops have no idea how to correctly repair rust. It needs
to be taken to a high end restoration shop. Any other alternative besides doing
