I have been able to work around the plugin copying procedure by adding
this to my user.js file:
user_pref("plugin.do_JRE_Plugin_Scan",true);
you can create a user.js file in the same directory as your bookmarks
and prefs.js. It is a plain text file.

Its probably not advised to share profiles between Netscape and Mozilla
but are there any issues that you guys know of when sharing profiles
between NS 6.2 and Mozilla (recent nightlies). I know there were issues
with 6.1 but how about 6.2?

Works excellent for me. And also, 6.2 seems very polished, but i might as well just
throw it out because there's no tabs :-(
Or wait a minute! does multizilla work?

I would normally post this in the Netscape 6 newsgroup, but I'm looking for an internal
adjustment to the UI to change the Netscape 6.2 mail manager background colour to an
RGB hex
code of my choice as I find the bright white far too harsh on the eyes.
Could someone advise me how to set the back

Does Moz and N6 use SSL (Secure Sockets Layers) asCommunicator and IE do?
Could this be the difference?
(I am posing this as a question rather than stating in a sentence.)

Hi there,
I have built a Mozilla browser on Win98 with its own custom buttons
and toolbars. However, when I install Netscape 6, it loads with my
custom settings. I have concluded this is because Netscape is reading
the same "Profiles" folder (possibly the "C:\Windows\Application

I wasn't sure where to direct this, so I'll post it here:
I just upgraded to WindowsXP/IE6 and whenever I try to watch the
quicktime trailers on apple.com with IE, the damn thing crashes
constantly.
I finally got fed up and installed mozilla 0.9.5, and wonder of wonders,
no more crashing!
Thank

In truth, the Profile mechanism needs to be extended to isolate profiles
created in different Mozilla derivatives from each other. This will
prevent Mozilla and Netscape from using each other's profiles, also,
which always causes trouble.

Does anybody know if there is a way to move NS 6.x profiles from
Windows to NS 6.x on Linux?
Thanks
Mark Rakozy
Since Mozilla (as of 0.95) still can't handle all of the web sites I throw at
it, I keep Netscape 4.7 around as a secondary browser. Is there any way I
can prevent Netscape from taking over as my primary browser? It doesn't come
up with the "Netscape is no longer the primary browser, do you wann
For Netscape, we can configure "Netscape*.vscroll.width: 10" in
".Xdefault" to setup the vertical scrollbar's width of Netscape
Window. But this doesn't work for Mozilla.
Does anybody have any idea for this option? I want a wider
scrollbar.
