the K-1 in their warehouse this week and will start shipping them "as

Apparently, those who ordered directly from the Ricoh web site will be
getting them starting today or tomorro
et a K-1 body and work with it using my current lens line-up for
a while (though that includes the FA* 28-70/2.8 and 80-200/2.8 plus
20, 24 and 300mm primes). Then my quandary will be which
weather-sealed lens I want to buy. It'll come down to the 15-30 vs the
24-70.

ones really are very good. And when shooting macro I often find myself
working at very small apertures where diffraction is the main
limitation on sharpness, so I think the small losses from the diopter
is insignificant.

down the on-board graphics via the BIOS from the very start.
What's really weird is that other apps, even Adobe applications like
Illustrator, detect the graphics card perfectly well.

uses
a technique called deconvolution. It's very computation-intensive but
my new machine chews through it much quicker than its predecessor.
It'll make working on the book much less taxing.
