Very nice Bruce.
You know what it makes me think of? A view from the Attic Window on GFM

Thanks Bill. The in camera HDR does have two settings - this was the
stronger setting. I'll have to do some more playing around with it.
What size wallpaper would work best for you?

I just happened to try a few other shots at different settings - so I
can show you what it looks like. These are not shots that I was
planning to show as keepers, but they can certainly be a good
learning tool.
These shots were tripod mounted using the built in HDR facility of
the K-x.

Hello Charles,
I did double check the exif data and the settings I indicated are
correct. It should be noted that I did these as experiments to learn
more about how it works. The scenes presented may or may not be best
suited for HDR. I will do some further experiments to see what I can
learn

For my taste, the No HDR image is the superior in each of these. Of the
HDR images HDR1 is superior to HDR2.
The HDR images look to me like what would happen if I opened the No
HDR image in Camera Raw and slid the contrast slider over to the left.
HDR1 looks like it was slid halfway to the

This was taken at a local lake. Even though we were shooting at
early evening, the lighting was too harsh to record the entire scene
well. Some of you may be aware that the K-x has a built in HDR
function whereby it takes 3 shots to bracket exposure and then merges
them together. So this shot
That seems to do a really nice job...I'd like to see the shot w/o HDR
for comparison.

Nice framing, Bruce. The auto HDR seemed to do a good job here.
