Hi Doug,
Was looking forward to upgrade of WinEyes 9.5.4 to 9.5.5. Unable to
access start menu since 9.5.4. I am using Windows 10, 4GB ram quad
core Gateway. Have to kill and restart WinEyes to be able to access
the start menu Since 9.5.4. Down graded back to avoid this issue.

Hi Pam,
I'm sorry, but this is too much thinking overtime.
Yes, Control-Alt-W will restart Window-Eyes, but so will finding Window-Eyes on
the Start menu, and choosing it.
The simple fact is that there is nothing built into Window-Eyes that makes
Control-Alt-W work.
The icon is what does it.

Hi Loy,
I have found many times that after answering a User Account Control prompt, my
keyboard language gets switched, rendering me unable to use my keyboard
normally.
The only solution is a reboot.

If you can'f find a way to fix the problem in Window-Eyes, try this:

Hey Neville,
I have Jaws set to read the desktop that way (e.g. 15 of 26)but it

But in the last few versions, they had put on control alt w in case window

Hi,
Thanks to those who answered my query regarding the scroll lock key.
My purpose for asking was that I am looking for a different modifier
key for my numerous Auto Hot Key macros. Maybe the scroll lock key may
fill the bill.

I discoveries it is a problem with the keyboard, some keys are not working.

On my banking site here in Canada, I use to struggle with a combo box until I

Hi Marvin,
Wow, you use 3 screen readers. I'm having enough trouble learning jaws.
I keep trying to use W-E commands in jaws.
Fortunately, Window-eyes doesn't freeze (hhh) with TB. I have had an
occasional issue with FF and W-E freezing. I'm finding jaws is

Hi. I don't know of a way to do this. WE and NVDA do this without
making changes but Jaws just doesn't seem to handle this list in the

that NVDA works
Try Insert-B, which is the read box command in JAWS and NVDA. Results may also

Hi Neville,
I think it's a throw-back to the days of terminal programs which would scroll
text stream from BBS's or the like, and so ScrollLock would lock the screen,
giving you a chance to read it before it scrolled away on you.
Nowadays, you can just map it to your own use.
I use it to mute an

Hi,
In a list message, a member mentioned that the capslock or scroll lock

this would be while using the laptop keyboard layout rather than the
