Após um sufoco e uma ajuda federal do Salles, localizamos o problema.
A minha fonte tinha ido pro espaço.
Coloquei outra fonte e o micro ligou, mas o HD também deu uma bagunçada
geral.
Tinha instalado o Ubuntu 8.04 e o Opensuse 11 e não teve jeito de acessar.

em um cd para poder usar o arquivo .infporém não tive exito, ao extrair
o driver vem um monte de tipo de arquivo mas não tem nenhum inf, assim não
posso usar o nwdissper, mais ou menos assim que escreve...como eu

Atualizei meu notebook para intrepid e perdi as configurações que tinha
feito no touchpad. Ao tentar abrir Sistema - Preferências - Touchpad
aparece mensagem que para usar o GSynaptics preciso habilitar SHMConfig no

O problema deve ser q ele não tá achando um driver específico para a sua
placa de vídeo, e não que ele não esteja reconhecendo seu monitor.
Qual a sua placa de vídeo?
Mande para cá a saída do comando lspci.

Acabei de reinstalar o

Aperte alt+f2 e digite gksu displayconfig-gtk e na janela que abrir
escolha o modelo de seu monitor e a resolução desejada. Caso seja um
monitor LCD, escolha LCD Panel AxB onde A e B é a resolução desejada
(como 1024x768).

Puxa, já tinha desanimado, a parte final funcionou... o boot para o linux
voltou, mas a parte do windows não está mais funcionando, acredito que tenha
mudado alguma coisa no particionamento.
