I figured out why the DOM inspector wasn't working. The package installs
it in /usr/share/firefox/extensions, but firefox and all the other
extensions (like language packs for instance) uses
/usr/lib/firefox/extensions/.
Quick & dirty fix:
# cd /usr/share/firefox/
# mv extensions extensions.old

Fixed by downloading source package and changing libdb4.3-dev to
libdb4.4-dev as a Build-Depends in cyrus-
imapd-2.2-2.2.13/debian/control. Rebuilt the package, reinstalled new
debs and things worked.

Ooops, apologies for the duplicate post above.
I've found a way to recreate this bug relatively consistantly.
Create a new user and log into Gnome with it. In Nautilus, open the
~/Examples folder and copy all the contents to the CD/DVD creator. Click
"write CD", then select "file image". Save th
We had the installer manually adding these modules to /etc/modules. Not
sure why it doesn't anymore.
The magic for the modules to be autoloaded by udev isn't going to be
supported until feisty's kernel.

I can confirm this also, on Kubuntu Edgy RC i386.
Add new task, click Apply -> get dialog box "Resource Selection -
Kontact" with 2 choices, both say "Default KOrganizer resource". Task
gets added twice. Same thing happens with new Calendar entry.

tried to confirm that on two different machines, but even on non
connected systems i have a dhclient process running for every usable

To make these module load on bootup, I also did this as root:

A better fix is for udev or similiar to notice the hardware and take the

This is still not working here. With the newest packages, I just get a
black screen with a blinking underscore in the top left corner. When
switching between VT 1 and VT 7 it looks like it switches resolution as
the underscore is closer to the screen's centre.

Having recently serviced this bug reporter's computer, I confirm.
Near the end of the boot process, virtual consoles display a distorted
image with fast moving horizontal bars scrolling past, similar to when
the vhold of a monitor is off range.
