I've tried all the above, to no avail. Even with laptop mode enabled,
and set to execute on resume (laptop_mode is enabled after resume), apm
= 128 and I have to change the setting manually. I'm beginning to think
this might actually be another bug, unless someone has some suggestions

First noticed this when trying to task switch between Stellarium and

I'm having the same issue with ipw3945 on a Dell XPS m1330 -- initial
connection is good. Sometimes will recover a lost connection "hiccup."
However, after a while (1-2 hours later) the next hiccup will produce
the failure to reconnect. The WiFi LED light stays on and becomes
unresponsive to the
"Disabling/re-enabling networking isn't an issue."
That was unclear. What I meant is that doing so doesn't appear to do
anything, except freeze the nm-applet.
