Hello all.
Finishing my first App for iPhone I'm searching for a clean way to check
the active language on the users iPhone.
The best solution I found is an old one which works fine on Mac and the
iPhone Simulator. On a real phone it crashes, perhaps because of this
shell-thing?

Actually, I just tested Scott's list field as it is on an iPhone 3G. It
scrolls very well and the momentum is also working very well. The
alternating colors don't show up.
I guess I have to look harder at his momentum algorithm, it is by far better
than mine.

Some things can be smoothed, not the speed though it is the fastest way I

on the iPhone 3G the roundtrip between to two mousemoves including the
setting of scroll and screen refresh is about 150 milliseconds

Clearly, DragonFireSDK didn't get approval from Apple. If you want to
use your app on your iPhone, you have to upload it to a server, where
it will be compiled with XCode. The website says you can distribute
your app as if it were created on a Mac, but it isn't clear to me

Its inconceivable that Apple would shun flash but sign up for dot net which
is just another virtualization technology that would threaten Apple control.

thing, now, if they are doing the other way around and cross compiling from
VS to iPhone App, then it is basically what RunRev was doing and that jobs
said we can't...
let us wait and see... I bet it is not that but they will offer some kind of
iWork Mobile integration for office...

Doesn't xCode already recognize C code? How difficult would it be for
MS to make VS2010 Objective-C capable? Probably not very.
