I am thinking of buying a head
Got one..hate it. I find that a pair of reading glasses in the 2.5-3.0 work
so much better. Greater depth of field and not so heavy on the head. My neck
ached when I tried to use the head magnifier for over an hour. I tie all my
flies with a light magnifier, It shows up every flaw and is much more
but not as good as
the better ones. They are usually on sale for less than 5.00
You will have to decide, this is what works best for me.

I have one of the Harbor Freight visors. It is okay and gets the job done.
The lights are not even worth putting the batteries in them, but plenty of
visors don't even come with lights, so I don't worry about it.

This is a good thread. I have to tie with my glasses off to see anything
small.
It's now getting to where it's hard for me to count the thread-wraps on
these darn Mustad #32's.
One day I may have to get magnifiers, or just tie jumbo flies only. LOL
I have one called mag eyes got it at hobby lobby for $18.00 with a 40% offf
coupon very light weight comes with two lenses works good for-Charles

I am
tried mine say the +5 lens
is too much for them and others say it is fine. A lot depends on how far you
are from the fly. Long arms further than short arms.

They have a very shallow depth of field. Small movements of your head will
put them out of focus. tried them, never could get use to the fade in and out

I was always envious of the folks who were far-sighted. As you age, your
vision gets better, not worse.
