Hi Wamuggers
I've offered to help a teacher by setting up 2 older PPC 580s to run
some CDROM based ed software. The computers run quite nicely on OS
7.6.1 however the CDROMs require OS 8 or 9. The CDROMs won't boot on
the machine, throwing up an error -192 and/or message similar to Mac

Hi Folks
My first post to the list after lurking for a few months.
I have a 20 iMac, 1.25Ghz G4, 768MB RAM. OS 10.3.8.
Recently iPhoto (4.0.3) has slowed down on start up. It shows all the
thumbnails quickly (approx 2500 photos - 3GB)
but then the spinning rainbow wheel appears for 3 - 4 minutes
my guess is that if they try sell them outside of China Apple will
drag them naked over hot coals.

Has your's been updated recently, possibly via Software Update?

Thanks for the advice people.
After a rebuild, restart, trash empty (wasn't much in it anyhoo) and
removing a 54MB pic I had scanned in yesterday, iPhoto now opens and
closes quickly.
