(313) Stewart Walker remixes Martin Gore
has anybody heard the Stewart Walker remixes of the new Martin L. Gore (of Depeche Mode) single I Cast A Lonesome Shadow? they're on the Stardust single, from the forthcoming Counterfeit2 album by Gore. release date for full-length album is slated for april 29 though the single just arrived today. The tracks are pretty good, if not quite similar (one is vocal mix and other is instrumental mix both by Walker). Definitely a Depeche Mode vibe, with Stewart's intricate production skills shining through. i was surprised to see Walker's name on a major label, that's for sure. tP

Like I stated many times before your only helping people become more aware of what is being released. All record store's do not carry the same stock. RE: (313) Help Finding Electro Mixes
for mixed up in the hague i would recommend going directly to clone, as i believe they distributed it. a favorite. there is also lots of more hip-hop/old school electro mixes on www.electroempire.com. you may be able to pose this question to www.electroalliance.net, an electro devoted message board. as far as mixed up in the hague 2, i heard that it would not be released on cd. but if you like mind streaming media, ferenc now has an Internet radio station at www.cybernetic-broadcasting.net. all the italo disco and electro you could possibly want. and i would also like to offer an electro mix of my own: http://www.capsite.net/mixes/jand01.ram cheers Jan D -- Date: Tue, 15 Apr 2003 15:59:29 +0100 To: 313@hyperreal.org From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Help Finding Electro Mixes Message-ID: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ** Entertainment UK Limited Registered Office: 243 Blyth Road, Hayes, Middlesex UB3 1DN. Now this is a title that's been recommended on 313 before (I was paying attention!) The thing is I know there are two volumes, so before I put my hand in my pocket can someone advise me which is the best one .. 1 or 2 ? I really liked 1(blue cover) more then 2(brown cover). i think there is a 3 now also? as for #1: the dexter track - i program(dexter has 2 tracks on lp, both good) is my favorite on the lp. it is kinda IDMish with wounderful vocoded vocals. my second fav track on that is the track before i program. i forget who it is but it has a very heavy dark particle beat type electro, very hot! there is also a track with the hook from fix-flash or at least it resembles it. if you liked this I would also suggest the frustrated funk - we bring mad drama (fr-001) through clone. compilation w/ cosmic force (fav track on lp), blue villa people, figuras frustrated, and pametex. cosmic spores tarck the electronic vision is my favorite, it has banging beats, dope synths, the track is not to dark but not light either, slightly IDMish(but that may just be the drum sounds) and has a great progression. the album is dedicated to mr. stinson i would also suggest the new bunker 3027 luke eargoggle - audio warriors the first track swedish code goes so well with vintages futures - frequency snowstorm (ur-27). the eargoggle lp and it is a 2x12 has lots of different sounds on it and I think it is one of the best bunker has put out (this label keeps getting better) it's up there with rude 66's de machine des duivels (another one of my favs on bunker). the music varies from very detroit sounding electro sounds on the dark side to more modern synthie electro punk. think aux 88 and adult. in a blender making an electro smoothie. Keeping things on an electro tip .. There are two other electro comps that were recommended a while back, 'Mixed Up In The Hague' by I.F 'Little Computer People' by Anthony Rother. I've tried a Gemm search and also checked that www.biwire.co.uk but have had no joy so far. Anyone know of a retailer that carries a good back catalogue of Electro CDs??? little computer people is very cool all that psi49net stuff is pretty hot. i would also add rother's hacker lp is really good the Simulationszeitalter is probally my favorite by him next to sex machines. groovetech and nuloop both have samples. nuloop.com has samples from all the tracks. all these records have the signature rother sound; killer electro! as for mixes I like www.electroradio.com in the past but just checked it out and it seems to not be functioning right. still there. capsite is also great. locally, www.brownnoteproductions.com has so great mixes trent abbe, t.linder, keith cha, tres lucitte, natrual absentee, anomaly, and me all have electro of some kind of mix up there. one of my favorites is up there. by trent named primary, it starts off with the 69 pieces track which is followed by so many good track that i do not know the names of. trents vectors mix is also very good again one of my fav's all the tracks are hot, the mix he does with the don't f*#k my 808 is way cool. tom's real mean wear parachute pants it is an old school mix i really enjoyed it. just happen to not own it on cd like the other two. and last but not least my mix, it is a clone meets detroit meets ghettotech meets kraftwerk. this is the first mix i have ever let anybody other then friends listen to so don't judge me to hard.

RE: (313) what to do iNYC? HELP
i just checked this party out on monday and had an absolutely awesome time. the crowd is pretty diverse ... i met a lot of bodysoul people and a share of the usual crowd that probably hangs out here as well,,, lots of really nice people though. they dropped in a track by E-man and he was around to soak it up as well. the sound system is absolutely top. francois was awesome, ... started out VERY chill, then later kept it jumping around genres really ... everything from house to some tech and back into reggae and dub and ... whatever it was great contrary to norm of the place on a weekend night, there's no velvet rope for it: just a killer venue, great people and gorgeous sound. i'm gonna go out on a limb and say this is prolly my new favourite place in the city to hear a DJ ... it's intimate size, cool, comfy and they obviously give the DJ control over lights and the like. eric _ eric schulte creative + web development p.718.753.6814 [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.11235813.com Date: Fri, 11 Apr 2003 09:51:47 -0400 To: Grammenos, Peter [EMAIL PROTECTED], 'Eric' [EMAIL PROTECTED], James Bucknell [EMAIL PROTECTED], Stephen Hart [EMAIL PROTECTED], 313@hyperreal.org From: =?iso-8859-1?Q?Mark_S._Kr=FCx?= [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: (313) what to do iNYC? Why not? cheers, matt macqueen I did not volunteer, considerate it a free consulting service. Qualified candidate's must be team player's with good organizational and writing skills. That would make me disqualified. I also think it would be best to have a person who's in touch with the Detroit scene, someone that has good morale with Detroit artist and labels. here is a quick way to compile information to create a comprehensive list of new releases: Subscribe to record store stock list, one's that do a great job carrying new 313 music. I would subscribe to as many record store stock list as possible as to not leave out any new releases. Also it would be a good idea to subscribe to 313 record label newsletters to kepp informed about individual labels. Copy and save the 313 artist/ label information to an archive which will later be used to compiled to make a list, make sure you abbreviate the record store name next to the release so the record store gets proper credit for lsiting that release. For example: Sonic Groove = SG Record Time = RT Submerge = Sub Hardwax = HW So one release listed can have numerous or multiple record store abbreviations. This tells people where they can find a particular record. Be sure include the music medium such as CD, LP, EP, 12, 7 LMTD., ect... You may also include the price next to the record store abbreviation but to be on the safe side I would put a disclaimer prices may vary next to: not affiliated with record stores, not responsible for on online transactions, customer service, blah, blah, blah, ect..ect... on 4/15/03 10:31 PM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Just remember to keep it going every week so that we don't miss a thing. In all seriousness the reason why I said good writhing skills is because to be honest I'm not very good at it and you would have to be quick at compiling and editing down information so the process isn't time consuming. I think it would be a great service to the list, if you think it's a great idea roll with it if not and would like to see this thread to die simply stop replying. on 4/16/03 4:14 PM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Is this a paid position? I guess it will be one of those 10 second interlude tracks on your new album. Let see, it takes me a couple seconds to read an email, especially those clever one liners and a fraction of a second to press the delete button. To answer your original email: It's not a complex process. Your just compiling information from various sources and posting it to the list. I was explaining how to simplify the process. on 4/16/03 4:44 PM, ::) at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I should make a track about how the time I just wasted reading your email is gone forever.
