There is still the article on Max Duley's site about his experience

I think severing my own ears so that I could get someone to buy me
 custom-made plugs in the US
might be construed as a bit drastic, even by my standards.

I see the joke in what you're saying but you do need to have them made
 for
 you. Tom's won't fit anyone else's ears except for Tom's. That's what
 is
so cool about those custom made ones. They're molded to your ear canal
 and
the process is pretty funny to go through. They inject this pink foam
 that
expands and then sort of gets a bit more solid (but stays sort of Nerf
football like). For a few seconds you're deaf because they do it in
 both
ears. About as close as you want to come to being deaf. They make the
earpiece from that mold (and a small disc-like filter fits in it) and
 you
get to walk out with the mold if you need another pair made.

it's the best you can get imo.

I really loved convextion live last night in Paris.
 SooOOOo pretty.
And he is such a nice guy, so humble, he looks like a teenager wearing his
backpack (the moment i've talked to him).
I was so happy to have them stopping here in their tour.
Actually most of the audience wasn't really prepared for such a smooth
techno, he has begun his live around 4 after two great energetic DJ set, so
the room run empty, though the aficionados stayed on the dancefloor, and
really enjoyed his live. Almost all the tracks were from his last album on
Down Low, with some more non identified ones.
I love, i love, i love his lovely deep melodic techno !
Hope you all english/irish to have a great time next week-end !

does each track have to be downloaded individually? i would
love to check this thing out, but all i can find is a load of
seperate track links, and when i download any one of them,
the file is like 379847.mp3 which makes the whole thing
kind of a hassle to sort out. am i missing something simpler?
don't mean to be complaining or anything...

FWIW, at least half of the tracks have the ID3 tags, but it wound be helpful
if all of them did, and those track names ain't the easiest to work with I
 agree.

 Good day,

Here's a list of new exclusive titles that we have in our shop right now..
and a list with things that will be ready in the coming weeks... + it's
getting colder so we printed the classic Clone Sweater again..
Here starts your www.clone.nl update.. enjoy!

 *** NEW EXCLUSIVE ***

Dijf Sanders - To Be a Bob
 [ Dub lp 12 / Dub cd 12]
We are proud to present this beautiful album of this young talented
classical trained musician from Antwerp, Belgium. Dijf sings, plays the
guitar, and programs the electronica, Jon Birdsong (the former trumpetist
of Beck) plays trumpet and the bass is played by Benjamin Dousselaere.
Those who already know Dijf know that he's a guy who can¹t be pigeonholed
very easily. From moody jazzy tracks to crazy songwriter electronica.
 http://clone.nl/item5958.html

 Secede - Tryshasia
 [ Sending Orbs 002cd ]
Get on board and travel through the eleven most beautiful ambient tracks
you have ever heard. The Dutch producer Secede comes with his second album
(after his debut on the cool Merck label). Your map during the trip to
Tryshasla is the astonishing art by Jeroen Advocaat which will make your
fairytale trip complete. One of our personal high lights on this album is
the collaboration with Kettel who is one of our favorite electronica
producers at this moment (it seems that this is a good combination so lets
hope on more productions from these guys together). Like the 1st release on
Sending Orbs this album is a great pack with some sweet music for those who
care! Dream away in the land of Tryshasla.

 V/A - Electronic Generation
 [ So Nasty 001 ]
''The giant leap made by technology in the past decades, made humanity
depending on electronics for a big part. Electronics created new ways of
producing and listening to music and so created a whole new sound''. A
brand new label from Rotterdam with a fresh techno/house sound,
introducing a string of new artists (FM, Pavel J. Ziolkiewicz, Louis,
Melchert and Chris Juno) on this doublepack. The sound of this compilation
reminds of Carl Craig, Theo Parrish and Strand. Tracks of FM, Melchert and
Chris Juno are on the first disc. They bring a unique combination of warm
atmospheric relaxing sounds and beats that trigger to dance. On the second
disc there are tracks of Melchert, Chris Juno, Louis and Pavel Ziolkiewicz.
Through impressive electro and deep techno, these artists make this LP an
 irresistible floor filler.
 http://clone.nl/item6001.html

 Dynarec - Component Zero
 [ Vaporwave 002 ]
The title track is a sharp, dance floor effective electro track, on the
funky bassline, with a mysterious vocal line on top. 'Raining Night
Driving', the second track goes more along the musical lines of Model 500
and Drexciya. More again into concepts, as the first release on this
label, can be found on side b: Audition Me - is the theme, which is
explored in two parts, bot with a more rough industrial sound, but both
still close to the sharp sounds of Dynarec.

Detroit-based Soft-Curls and The Generator (the organization behind last
years DEMF Underground Stage), will join forces to present the debut of
TodaysMusic during the Fuse In Festival.

TodaysMusic will present the state of the art of electronic music and
related visual arts and will be showcased for the first time during Fuse In,
Detroit¹s Electronic Music Festival.

TodaysMusic is dedicated to showcasing the world's most important and
influential new musical artists and cutting edge talent, while paying close
attention to the history of true urban music. During this showcase in
Detroit, culture, music, attitude, and individuality are celebrated under
the banner of electronic music culture.

Curator Sharif Zawideh has come up with a cutting edge program, that will
transform this stage to what it originally was supposed to be: staging the
music of today¹s talents with a clear inspiration of the Detroit sound. That
this sound is not only embraced in Detroit, shows the Dutch Bunker label.
Perhaps the only European answer to the acclaimed sound of the Underground
Resistance label.

(313) Soldier Rolando no longer with UR

2005-02-08 Thread Rebelbass/bookings

DJ Rolando PRESS RELEASE

After 10 years of loyal service as a Underground Resistance member Rolando
is no longer an 'active soldier' in the UR camp. Due to unforeseen and sadly
irreconcilable differences in respect of his partners in the Los Hermanos
label - Rolando will make no further recordings with Los Hermanos and is
seeking to amicably dissolve his partnership.    In response to the numerous
enquiries by fans (and to avoid their disappointment) we wish to make it
clear that Rolando will not be taking part in the current live tour with the
band Los Hermanos.   Rolando has spent the last few months buried in the
studio recording new material and is looking to create more diverse and
creative relationships in future recordings and collaborations. He wishes to
thank all of those who have supported him in taking this brave step forward
to a new phase and he thanks them for their faith and encouragement in
making this possible.

2005-02-08 Thread Rebelbass/bookings
I've heard that it started in december last year. there were no credits for
Rolando's music on the Los Hermanos album wich appeared in december last
year. he worked for several months in his studio for this album. On the
album 'on another level' was written: all tracks by Gerald Mitchel. The band
los hermanos is NOT rolando. these are the people who are involved:
santiago, gerald mitchell, mike banks, and frankie 3000. Suburban Knight as
dj. Mike Banks is the publisher of Los Hermanos. It was also Mike who formed
the band Los hermanos. Rolando was not involved by the forming of this band.
When he asked he was told: the label is from UR not from you.

It looks like Rolando has been ripped by his own brothers...?

it looks to me like that.

Do we care anymore, it's not a techno argument is it?

It's not a matter of live with Ableton. It's more DJ set or Performers
own material, they could have two spoons for me...

I ask because during the course of the show there were moments when
Richie would put on a record, grab a loop from the record and let that
play while Ricardo programmed live beats or just plain strange bloobly
noises and then Richie would go to work doing things with effects and
the foot controller or even just noodling about with Abelton LIVE...

For large stretches of time not a record was playing. Is that any
more or less live than somebody playing a live set from Abelton?

It's really unfortunate that Fabric sequesters the DJs because to
watch them performing would be a lot of fun for the crowd I think.

running it for 10 years (I saw acts like Mattew Herbert and Plaid there

he played a detroit timeline going form old E-Dancer and Kenny Larkin

definitely food for the techno purists. Rolando is still one of the

Re: (313) axis

2004-01-14 Thread Rebelbass/bookings
hello. we posted this issue a while ago op my (dutch) weblog.
it has something to do with the distributers.. One claims that they have the
exclusive rights for europe. (it was a belgium distributer) later on I had a
conversation with some shop owners, who claimed that if they wanted to make
any profit they had to marge on the records up to 80%.

We also tried to ask axis for an explanation. but it did not work out so
far.

kind regards

He dj-ed at one of my events called 'fluid' once.
he did a live-set (wishmountain) and dj-ed.(herbert)
the dj-ing was nice. a combination of house, electro and experimental beats.
he has a sort of chicago feel in his sets.
just enough to keep the floor in a soulfull mood.

Has anyone heard Matthew Herbert DJ ?

Yeah, we had him play at our Radius night in Cardiff back in February. He
played an excellent set of quirky old and new material, including a fair
bit of his own stuff, lots of Playhouse and Perlon, plus artists like
Titonton and Dan Curtin. Brilliant mixing, great tunes, and an extremely
nice bloke to boot, very down to earth...

Definitely go and see Herbert DJ if you get the chance. His DJ set in
Melbourne last year was one of the most entertaining sets I've heard in
ages. Make sure you encourage him to pull out his Dancemania records!

anybody know what effects are in Richie's rack when he does his dex,fx, and

really would like to know what he uses. I'm actually looking for a
midi-syncable delay with infinite repeat capabilites, which may definitely
be the type he's using. someone mentioned it's an alesis something, any
 more info ??
