haven't heard the mix but sounds very much like Alphonze Mouzon/Mouzon's electric Band - Everybody get down (1979) on Vanguard sounds like something Metro Area would play too it's around - but fairly rare very nice though.one of the few decent uses of the sax in contemporary dance music IMHO ;) rc on 2/2/03 4:49 AM, Alex Bates at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > ok i have an mp3 entitled 'muira - metro area' but it certainly is not this > track, although it does sound kid of electro and may well be metro area... > the female vocal goes : > > you gotta dance, move on > get on up > get on up > get on up and boogie down > > im desparate for this tune... any ideas? i have mp3 to send if anyone is > interested in doing some 5 star tune id-ing for me! > > ab > >

hi - trying to ID a tune- it is the intro tune from a set i downloaded called Robert Natus - Schranz techno i am having trouble uploading a link to the clip - if anyone wants to have a go at it, let me know privately and i'll e-mail you a short real audio clip of it it starts out with this dark distorted horn - very similar to the darkside sounds used by Reinforced in old darkcore from 93 - there is this dark voice speaking in German - then the darkness drops out and this bouncy beat kicks in - hard to descibe, but I can mail the clip to anyone - I'm sure someone will know it instantly when they hear it if anyone happens to have a tracklisting for this mix, or any recommendations of other good scranz techno that would be cool thx Liam *** Recoil live on Interface *Astral Physics* every Tuesday 7-9 PM (EST) http://interface.pirate-radio.org/thesite/index.html *** ICQ - 98984143 *** _ The new MSN 8: advanced junk mail protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail

As previously stated, this is definitely Kevin Yost. I picked it up on the compilation "One Starry Night" on Distance records. I guess it basically compiles his i! records releases, as I already had a couple of the tracks on there. This may be easier to find than the specific i! release than "Dreams of You" was on, plus you get a bucketload of other great Kevin Yost records. That Farina mix is *excellent* btw - I had it on tape but unfortunately it got melted in the hot western australia sun. I saw Mark mix about 3 or 4 years ago and he is one of the smoothest house mixers I've seen. -Dave ps the "Starry Night" album is recognisable by Kevin's huge mug on the cover, complete with pipe. --- alex <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > its on a mark farina mix i have > > has moody strings and a male vocal > 'i dreamed of you' > 'i dreamed of you' > 'i dreamed of you' > > etc > > any ideas? > ab > 'But in the process they've been the true renegades. And the true > rebel > always walks alone anyway' > > > > - > To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > __ Do You Yahoo!?
