Hi, My suggestion would be to do a system restore of the operating system. I assume that you are on windows xp? System restore undo's changes that may have made your system unstable. The reason I suggest this is because system restore is simple, harmless, and would most likely solve your problem. However, it requires sighted assistance for a step or 2. Hi, If you dont need any particular functionality available only with Adobe Reader 8, then I suggest you should install one of the Adobe Reader version 7. Since I haven't read documentation for Jaws 9, I cant say for sure, but till Jaws 8, the support provided is up to Acrobat version 7 family. That is not to say that Adobe Reader 8.0 and above is not accessible, but it is safer to use version 7. If you cant find the link for 7, then write to me. Use labels Gmail doesn't use conventional folders to file e-mail messages. Instead, it offers labels. Hi, In addition to the information you may have already got, I would like to talk about 2 of the softwares you mentioned. Photoshop is Adobe's image and bitmap menupelation software. You would probably required to add affects and change shapes of an image. While the menue commands of photoshop. may be accessed, the output or even the input would not be accessible. MS-Visio is a technical drawing tool from Microsoft. As a part of a person's PHD, a plugin for visually challenged using Visio has been developed, but it has limited functionality. Open IE and press alt+t to activate tool menu and press O to open Internet options dialog. Use control+tab to move to the advance page of this dialog box. JAWS says setting treeview accessibility open. Press down arrow to move to the Multimedia option. Under Multimedia uncheck the option which says play sounds in web pages - onn. Tab over to ok button and press space bar. This will disable playing of sounds in web pages.
