Re: [AI] Circular required

2010-05-13 Thread Himanshu Sahu
Dear Sir,
In banks the provision is for Petrol allowance.
And even it differs from bank to bank and the grade of employees.
Like in SBI both clerical staffs and officers are getting this. But in
other banks like Allahabad Bank, only officers are getting it.

Yesterday, I received the following s m s from 9870807070

"To continue receiving messages from google s m s channels, reply actv.
otherwise, messages will notbe be sent after 5 days". Since there was
no number mentioned in the message, I simply replyed to the sender.
But today also I received the same message, only the difference that
the number of days has been reduced to 4. Now what should I do? To
which number should I send the reply? A speedy reply is solicited.

Hi Amiyo,

Captchas are solved on the Solona Web site by live volunteers. For a
detailed explanation of how Solona works, download the Solona demo podcast
from blind cool tech:
http://media.libsyn.com/media/bct/bct1403SolonaDemo.mp3

There is another tool you can try along with Solona. It is called IEMax
and

has been developed by Jamal Masrui:
http://EmpowermentZone.com/IEMax.exe

With IEMax installed, when you encounter a CAPTCHA, hit shift+Ctrl+0.
Your

Solona login information is filled in and the image is automatically sent
there for the person to process it. Update messages are displayed until
the

solved Captcha is pasted to the clipboard for you to paste into the
appropriate box. This works both with Firefox as well as Internet
Explorer

and is very cool.

HP generally will cover hardware malfunctioning and other windows
installation problems. As for as I know, they do not perform other
cleaning services without charging you extra money. So if the cause
for the slow down of your PC is due to the hardware malfunctioning,
then they may be able to replace the associated part such as the hard
drive, memory ram etc.

Re: [AI] Usage of net book with reliance data card

Hello sir,
We can use chat messengers with 256 kbps speed.
If you use the reliance net connect broadband data card, then you will get
high speed net connectivity.
But the speed is slow in case of the regular data cards of Reliance or
other companies.
Actually, the regular data card will not give you the speed of 256 kbps,
even if they say so.

I use Reliance 153 KBPS on my netbook. As for accessibility of the
datacard I can say that installation has to be done with sighted
assistance, while using it can be almost entirely independent with JAWS
(version 10 in my case). You can use Skype (only voice and not video in
my case) and also GTalk without much problems.

A good move by AICB. Other organizations should also go ahead with

Hope to read the response of the Government as well.

Re: [AI] capchasolving service for internet explorer

2010-05-13 Thread Geetha Shamanna

It is called IEMax and
has been developed by Jamal Masrui:
http://EmpowermentZone.com/IEMax.exe

With IEMax installed, when you encounter a CAPTCHA, hit shift+Ctrl+0. Your
Solona login information is filled in and the image is automatically sent
there for the person to process it. Update messages are displayed until the
solved Captcha is pasted to the clipboard for you to paste into the
appropriate box. This works both with Firefox as well as Internet Explorer
and is very cool.

[AI] Promotion for M. Chandrashekar as an officer, Congratulations!!

2010-05-13 Thread Vamshi. G
Dear friends,

Our beloved friend, Mr. M. Chandrashekar, has got promotion as an
officer in Corporation Bank. Hearty congratulations to him!!

And the icing on the cake is that he has been given a job at the back
end in the ATM and debit card customer care center, which is best
suited for the visually challenged person. So, hats off to
Corporation Bank as well!!

Chandru sir, Access India is proud of achievers like you.

Personally, working as a clerk in an organisation where promotion for
visually challenged is still doubtful, it is so soothing to know about
the happenings in other banks.

Once again, my heartiest congrats to Chandru sir. And my best wishes
to him in his new assignment.

Disabled sportspersons protest outside sports ministry
PTI
Wednesday, May 12, 2010 18:59 IST
New Delhi: Disabled sportspersons today staged a protest outside the
sports ministry here alleging corruption in the management of disability
sport.
They claimed sports minister MS Gill promised them that he will appoint
a two member committee to probe into alleged irregularities in the
Paralympics Committee of India (PCI) and investigate further before
taking any major step.

A number of disabled sportsmen and activists led by Disabled Rights
Group (DRG) convener Javed Abidi staged the protest and later met Gill
at his residence.

Abidi said, "It is disappointing to see that even after receiving
hundreds of complaints from disabled athletes, the minister is not
convinced of the deep rooted corruption that exists between the
officials of the sports ministry and PCI."

These athletes, who aim to participate in the Commonwealth Games, have
been complaining about no training, leaving them doubtful about India's
performance in disability sports during the games.

The upcoming Commonwealth Games will showcase as many as 15 disability
sporting events, from athletics to swimming to table tennis. Out of
these 15, India is not participating in 4 sporting events.

"Although we do not have much time to lose, we will wait for the
minister to respond and will take our next step only after a week," said
Abidi.

Dear Deapak!

You don't have to arrange your own scribe, SSC will make the
arrangements itself. What you have to do is to keep black and blue
ball pens and one any thing you feel needful in writing a paper. Just
reach on time so that SSC people can doo the needful.

That's all.

[AI] Circular required

2010-05-13 Thread Prashant Verma
Dear all,
One visually impaired public sector employee is being denied car allowance on
the grounds that it is only given for self driven cars.
If anyone has any circular which clarifies this and which could be used for
claiming car allowance by visually impaired employees then please forward it to
me at the earliest.
This is a special request to RBI/Banks/P S U staff on the list.

Prashant

[AI] Disabled sportspersons protest outside sports ministry

2010-05-13 Thread Vishnu Ramchandani

"Although we do not have much time to lose, we will wait for the
minister to respond and will take our next step only after a week," said
Abidi.
