Re: [AI] as bajaj fincer rejected my consumer loan
I have been using bajaj finance card for purchasing laptop, mobile etc. for long. Perhaps they didn’t know about my disability while issuing card. But last year I got call from bajaj for personal loan and at that time I wanted it so I applied but they denied after doing all the formality on the ground of disability. Was busy so didn’t do anything at that time. Friends, I opened quick call account a month back with rupees 5000. And I am 100 percent satisfied with their service. Though I had been using paytm.com but I have found quick call more convenient. got this small article from times of india. Visually impaired shows the way to politicians Melvyn Thomas, TNN May 20, 2009, 10.40pm IST SURAT: Rambhai Patel does not wear khadi. He has no political connection and has never contested an election. But, on May 16, Rambhai, a visually impaired retired telephone operator in Valsad achieved something that is the envy of seasoned politicians - he polled 27,429 votes as an Independent in the Lok Sabha elections. Yet, fighting elections was not something Rambhai had dreamt of. I wanted to teach politicians a lesson, show them that elections are not won by money, muscle and liquor power, but by good work and commitment to the people. I cannot see the world, but I decided to open the eyes of politicians who are blind to the ills plaguing our country, says 59-year-old Rambhai, who retired from the Valsad District Co-operative Bank last year. Here, this is more important to know whether the job of language teacher is identified for the blind or not in your state. Actually we at Karnataka also facing the similar problem. Job of any type of school teacher accept the music teacher has not been identified for the blind by the Karnataka government. Even in 2007, when the 1000 of vacancies were advertised for the post of primary school teacher a PIL was filed in Karnataka High Court for recruitment of blind as a primary school teacher as per their reservation quota. And court gave the favourable judgment directing the state government for recruitment of the V.H. persons for the job of primary school teacher as per their reservation quota. But the state government move to the supreme court to stay the judgment and since than the matter is pending in the supreme court neither the stay has been granted nor the afforstated judgment is being implemented. NFB, Karnataka also filed a fresh PIL petition in 2009 while again 4900 vacancies of primary school teachers were advertised and blind persons were bared to apply for these jobs. In its interim order of 29th October 2009 against the said PIL the high court directed the state government to keep at least 49 posts vacant until the final disposal of these petition and accept the applications of qualifying blind persons for the same. Since then the matter is standing in the high court for the next hearing. You would be aware of recent interim order of Mumbai High Court in which the honourable high court has expressed its displeasure on the attitude of the Maharastra Government on the matter of identification of jobs and its time bound review. It may also be helpful in your case as a reference. I am forwarding a copy of this interim order at your personnel mail I.D. We have also filed a new PIL in the matter of appropriate identification of jobs and review of the existing lists, the first hearing of which expected to be scheduled with in two, three days time. After reporting to ZO, I was denied to be posted at nearest branch to my residence by DGM (He was the chairman of selection committee during my selection). He ordered me to work only in Zonal office, which is quite far from my house. The administration people discussed with me and asked to accept the challenge of handling the secretariat. And that's it. I receive all of correspondence and circulars from Head office or other places, and after arranging them (put dates and all ) hand over to them. I have been provided with one system attached with printer and scanner and one fax machine. And rest send to appropriate departments. Furthermore, I send faxes of DGM and FGM as well, since have maintained a list of the entire phone and fax numbers of bank's Head office, zones and branches. Often I deal with the complains of customers against branch employees or branch heads. If, it is critical, then only forward to bosses otherwise try to solve it on my own. Many times ask, inform and instruct branch heads on behalf of zonal head about urgent issues, meetings or feed backs of any particular subject. And more significantly still I use the Demo version of JAWS (you understand). However it was offered to me, but I denied because didn't want to increase expenditure on me. Hi jignesh, I think it is always easy to escape from the situation, but it is not proper solution. You should continue study. There is problem every where, such as banks asks for billow 60 percentage scribes, some universities ask for stupid conditions, than it is possible to stay at home? The environment in India is not supportive for the blind it does not mean that we don’t do anything. I strongly believe that there are thousands of organizations working for the blind should try with full heartedly, there are some institute like eyeway wich are helping blind. The good or bad is also much depends on your priority like we want to use a handset for listening music? Or do we need to use the features of 3rd addition? etc. Before selecting any mobile set, in my opinion, we must set our needs for Mobile besides some general features. I Am using N72 and satisfied with it's function and performance, however, some of us may find a little complexity in using it's key pad but you get perfection on it once you are habitual and familiar with the buttons. N70M is also a fine set and it's keys are also relatively good to be used. If you wanna go for 2nd addition phone, then there won't be better option than N70 and N72 in Nokia brand for us people in my personal observation. I have the list of accessible mobiles, but there are different views on which one is preferable and which one to eliminate. as regards 3230 and 6600 models, these are not available with many nokia dealers. some say that 3200 was not good enough. your comments! - Original Message - From: Mamta [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: accessindia@accessindia.org.in Sent: Saturday, January 19, 2008 3:55 PM Subject: Re: [AI] accessible mobile sets Hello Anjali!
