Re: [AI] some banking fecility denied in SBI for blind what to do?
Sir, For example, I want to deposit cash in the account of Rajesh Asudani who has an account with SBI Nagpur branch. I will pay Rs. 20 in cash and get a green remit card which is mapped to the account of Rajesh Asudani. I can use the card either at cash deposit machine of SBI or at the green channel counter of any SBI branch to deposit cash into Rajesh Asudani's account. Since there is no question of withdrawel, there is no need for any secret pin number. As soon as the card is swiped, the system recognises the account to which the card is mapped and credits the amount into that account. Now, one can take a green card to his own account and use it for depositing cash into his account. A visually challenged person can walk into a SBI branch, give the green remit card to the counter clerk along with cash and get the money credited to his account without the requirement of filling up the credit voucher, writing the denominations on the back, signing etc. Hope this is clear. No eligibility. Any person having a valid ID proof as per RBI norms can get a Green Remit card. Its not even required that the card holder should be the account holder. Unfortunately, debit cards issued to visually challenged are not working in green channel counter (withdrawing and depositing cash at branch using debit card). Green card can be used for the same which is very useful as the customer doesn't even need to key in the pin or fill any form. There is no rule that says green card shouldn't be issued to visually challenged. As far as using cash deposit machine is concerned, depositing cash without card will attract a service charge of Rs. 25 per transaction. [AI] some banking fecility denied in SBI for blind what to do?
good morning friends. one of my friend approach one SBI branch to open a new account some months ago. they opened the account and charged 200 for greencard and 200 for ATM. till now the green card is not activated. and he is not able to use this ATM to deposit money through cash deposit machine. only used for money withdrawal. the bank clerk said we update you are visually impaired in your account so you can't use CDM. and you can't use green card also. to deposit money use chalan like that. is there any provision like blind can't use CDM and green card like that? if not how to get this? kindly guide me. sorry for my long story. -- If God is love, and love is blind, and I were blind, would I be God? with love and regards yogesh J postal assistant india post tenkasi head office phone: 7811071227 skype: romio.yogesh facebook: yogesh yogi Emotional investments are subject to human desires.
