Hi Maulik,

Thank you for posting your concern.

To investigate the issue, could you provide the complete request and response
logs with request ID generated on your end where we can see the error?

You can provide it via Reply privately to author option. If this option is not
available, then send it instead on this email address
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com.

If you haven't enabled the logging of the API transactions for the specific
client library that you are using, then please refer to the specific guide

RE: How to get ad_group_asset data?

2021-10-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

As per this guide, RSA is associated in the ad level and not in the ad group
level. Ad-level performance metrics for assets are aggregated in the
ad_group_ad_asset_view. Unfortunately, the ad_group_ad_asset_view currently
supports AdGroupAdAssetView for AppAds and not for RSA assets. We have already
raised a feature request for this; however, there is no guarantee if this will
be supported in the API soon. Having said that, we suggest that you keep an eye
on our blog for updates and new releases.

Re: AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT returns more ads with a different set of attributes and segments.

Yes, sure

Customer ID = 9113729509

I also send the private message with ConversionTrackerId for which the
anomaly occurs and the AdId that appears in the second response.

As I wrote earlier, in the case of these two requests, there is not a
splitting of one AdId into several rows, but the appearance of a new AdId,
which was not in the first response.

2021-10-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello Egor,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Can you share to us your Customer ID so we can also check on our end?

Comparing your 2 request structures, I can see that the 1st request contains
more segment fields compared to the 2nd request. According to the Ad
Performance Report guide, if other segment fields are used, you may get more
than one row per ad.

As an aside, please note that the AdWords API is deprecated and will be sunset

RE: How do I get the number of rows added when uploading a user list using the API?

2021-10-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Wataru,

Thank you for raising your concern.

Could you confirm if you encountered any errors in the API request for the
uploading members of the customer match that causing the 0 size? If yes, then
please provide the complete request and response logs with request ID generated
on your end where we can see the error so that we can check and address it. You
can provide it via Reply privately to author option. If this option is not
available, then send it instead on this email address
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com.

If there is no error, then it appears that the members are successful uploaded,
however, it encountered the bullets below that discussed on this document:

It takes 6 to 12 hours for a list to be populated with members, so you'll most
likely see an "In Progress" status (on the Google Ads UI) if you upload to an
audience list more frequently than once every 12 hours.
A list may appear to be smaller than expected when viewed in the Audience
Manager in the Google Ads UI. This view shows the number of active users in the
list. A user is considered active if they have recently logged into their
Google account. For more information on active users, see this discussion on
how to troubleshoot low traffic with Customer Match lists.

With this, since this is more product specific, then I would suggest to reach
out to the product team via this link as they are more equipped to provide
support to this topic.

As for knowing the uploaded members, I would suggest to enable the logging of
the API transactions by following one of the guide below as you can see this
information there:

Hi Tiana,

Thank you for providing the requested details privately. Let me reply here on

the same issue.

Upon impersonating the report on my end, I was able to replicate the issue.
With this, I tried modifying the query to make it work, specifically removing
the '['. The API request become successful and it appears that the said

Let me know how it goes after trying the provided suggestion.

Hello,

Thank you for getting back to us.

As previously asked by my colleague (Aryeh), can you share to us a screenshot

Please send the requested screenshot via the Reply privately to author option.
If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to our

As an aside, according to this guide, the final URL represents the actual
landing page for your ad, keyword, or sitelink. The final URL must be the URL
the user sees in the browser bar after clicking your ad: It must not have any
off-domain redirects. If this is what you're looking for, you can utilize the
ad_group_ad.ad.final_urls instead.

Bug in Asset-based Ad Extension Migration Documentation

2021-10-12 Thread Kevin
Hi,

Just wanted to report what I believe to be a bug in the Ad Extension
Migration example code.

Under the Create an Asset-based extension

 section,
there is some code that reads:

However, I am able to set neither of these values in the UI:

And save the extension. When I attempt to migrate the Extension using the
provided code this throws a Null Reference exception.

Is this expected? It certainly doesn't seem right.

Thanks,
Kevin

Re: Asset-Based extensions device preference?

Hi team,

Since this device preference is not available in new Asset based extension
and I saw Perter added a feature request in previous reply. Can you please
let us know the latest status of that ask?

Google is planning to do auto migration from 10/20/2021, this seems an
blocking issue if we can't get the same data fields from Asset based
adextension.

Could you please share more guidance here before the auto migration happens?

Thanks
Caihua.

Re: Got INVALID_ANONYMOUS_BIDDING_STRATEGY_TYPE when setting target CPA for search campaigns

2021-10-12 Thread Julien Stoeffler
Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the pointers, it seems that we're experiencing this issue
because of this update

.

*Starting on September 30, 2021, Google Ads API developers won’t be able to
create new TargetCpa or TargetRoas standard bidding strategies in Search
campaigns. This change will prevent creating new Search campaigns that use
these strategies, as well as prevent updating existing Search campaigns to
use these strategies. Instead, use the new optional target CPA field with
MaximizeConversions, and the new target ROAS field with
MaximizeConversionValue. This change will not affect portfolio (shared)
bidding strategies.*
Best,

Julien

Thanks Matt,

i wanted to know that I m using the below api to fetch all the keyword
planner for the particular ad account/customer account but it only gives
list of keyword plans "created by you" and not "shared with you"

import requests
import json

url =
"https://googleads.googleapis.com/v8/customers/1234567890/googleAds:search";

payload = json.dumps({
"query": "SELECT keyword_plan.name, keyword_plan.forecast_period,
keyword_plan.id FROM keyword_plan "
})
headers = {
'Content-Type': 'application/json',
'Authorization': 'Bearer x',
'developer-token': '-dev token',
'login-customer-id': ''
}

response = requests.request("POST", url, headers=headers, data=payload)

print(response.text)

IS THERE ANYWAY TO LIST ALL THE KEYWORD PLANS i.e both PLAN CREATED BY YOU
and PLAN SHARED WITH YOU ?

RE: How to create in python campaign group.

2021-10-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello,

Thank you for reaching out. You can accomplish this by following the example
Create ad group and ad group ad to creating an ad group. For using Google Ads
API you can follow this documentation and if you're using Adwords API you can
follow this documentation to add ad groups in a campaign with python code
example.

Re: DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED - Google Ads

2021-10-12 Thread Martin Levi
Hi Aryeh,

Thanks once again for your response. In my specific case I still don't see
any value in running conversion uploads in a test environment. The
conversion data is already recorded successfully in a database on my
webserver so I am 100% confident of passing the correct data to Google, so
the worst case scenario is that I run the upload and nothing happens. So
please let me know how I can go straight to a production Developer Token?

Thanks also for the links to cross-account conversion tracking, but it
appears that it is pixel based. In 2021 optimizing ad campaigns by means
of a third party pixel is close to completely ineffective, and will only
continue to get worse long before Google finally and officially declares
the pixel dead. This is the major reason I am uploading my conversion data.

Regards,
Martin

Re: DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED - Google Ads

2021-10-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Martin,

There may be a value in running fake GCLID's in a test account, if the only
problem is that they are fake then all other error messages won't come. Another
benefit is in test accounts any mistake you make has no real world effects so
you can learn by trial and error.

An MCC account with an active developer token affords access to the API to all
sub-linked accounts in the hierarchy. Moreover, you can set up Cross-account
conversion tracking - the benefits are described here.

Information on Targeting Metadata

Hi Team,

We are using Google Ads Api for creating ads and also for syncing data like
genders, affinity, interests etc. We can see there is doc :
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/codes-formats#codes-formats

which contains the supported list for each category.

We want to understand how frequently does this list change.

RE: INTERNAL_ERROR when querying search_term_view

2021-10-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Demi,

Regarding the segments.date issue, could you provide the exact GAQL you used?
In addition, you may check out this guide for more information on how this
segment can be used in reporting.

As for the INTERNAL_ERROR, could you confirm if this is being encountered
consistently even after retrying after 30 seconds as mentioned in the guide? If
yes, could you also provide the complete request and response logs, with the
request-id?

If you haven't yet, logging can be enabled by navigating to the Client
libraries > Your client library (ex. Java) > Logging documentation, which you
can access from this link.

You may then send the requested information via the Reply privately to author
option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to
our googleadsapi-supp...@google.com alias instead.

Best regards,

Peter Laurence Napa Oliquino

RE: Get all users from user list

2021-10-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Anton,

Thank you for posting your concern.

For your use case, you can use the user_list report type to get the user lists
in a customer account. However, there is currently no sample implementation for
this report type. However, I would suggest to refer to this document to read
more information about the reporting feature of the Google Ads API and to
construct report using the report type that I've mentioned earlier.

Re: How to get Impressions of campaigns and location extensions in a Google Ads account using Google Ads API ?

2021-10-12 Thread Qaiser Javed
Hi Peter,

Thanks for your response.

I am getting no results against account using the following query.

SELECT campaign.id, campaign.name, feed.id, feed.name FROM campaign_feed
WHERE feed.status = 'ENABLED' AND campaign.status = 'ENABLED' AND
campaign_feed.placeholder_types CONTAINS ALL ('LOCATION')

Please advice.

Thanks & Regards,

How do I get the number of rows added when uploading a user list using the API?

2021-10-12 Thread Wataru Hamawaki
Hello Team Google Ads,
thank you for your cooperation.

I'm using the API to add an email address to CustomerMatch.
However, if you visit https://ads.google.com/aw/audiences/management after
registration, the size will be 0.

Is there a way to know how many I have uploaded to Customer Match?
