Hi Kevin, I'm sorry if I'm writing in the wrong place here! We applied some 5 months ago to get our Adwords API switched on and still haven't had anything happen.. Although the contact team are good and check for us, all they can say is that there is a back log. However, I know other people are being asked for more info and getting approved ahead of us. If you can give us any insight into what is going on I'd be super grateful. We've sent the documentation/screenshots several times but we the last message I've received from the adwords API team is that they are still waiting for the descriptions/screenshots. We have been waiting more than 2 years for our API key, we have sent all needed documentation multiple times, and have been told that the team is working on it, but as you might understand, more than 2 years is a bit long :-) Could you please look into this matter as we have great difficulties with our client reports. We only use(d) the API for reporting, we don´t use it to modify or create campaigns. Our main MCC CID is 811-176-8886 Thanks a million times in advance! We have now had a reply from google saying that our application has been rejected because we do not have enough performance data. This confuses me as i am applying for a developer token in order to pull data for my clients, i dont run any PPC campaigns so of course i dont have any data. In order to get data, i have attempted to request access to one of our clients through MCC but when I enter their customer ID in the 'link existing account' section, i receive a message saying This client is already linked to the maximum number of allowed managers. However no further explanation is given. It seems as though there are so many hoops to jump through where no help is offered at all - for example not listing the questions that must be answered on the application page. Surely if my clients are happy for me to access their data, google should just make that happen quickly. Hello Kevin, We have been waiting for months and our latest email from the API team made no sense: "usage of the AdWords API exclusively for Targeting Idea Service (TIS) and Traffic Estimation Service (TES) such as keyword research and keyword suggestions is not allowed" (so we are denied access). 1. The interesting thing is that we have no plans to us TIS/TES and that our project has absolutely nothing to do with this answer (did someone read our email - we wonder). It feels like asking "how is the weather today" and being answered "my name is John Smith". Obviously, we have answered back (an angry reply, since, after 15 emails, many posts on this forum - we are going crazy). this is not an acceptable way to treat people who work hard to develop their business and google's business. 2. The other interesting thing is that we have access to an MCC for which we are denied API access (well it is in "approval" state for month - id = 334 739 5535) while, simultaneously, we have access to an MMC which has an approved token (243-027-2525 - we have been provided access since this company wants us to help them with automating some of their tasks). Maybe we should put these 2 MCCs under one client center to see what occurs? This is a nightmare. Thank you for your time. We started the process 6th March 2012 and were immediately warned 'Approval of your request may take 1 to 2 weeks'. The first of 6 questionnaires/actionpoints was sent to us 19th March 2012. We responded to every one within 24 hours given the importance of this to our customers. We thought we had received the final action point 10th May 2012 as in it, it said "Once this is done, please respond back to this email so we can complete your review", We did of course complete the action point and responded immediately. Since then complete silence and no response to our follow up emails requesting a response. Thanks for your help. Hi, same problem here, we (940-850-4989) are waiting for about 2 months, without getting any mails or responses. I am curious, why does it take sooo long? Ok it was mentioned that you have a backlog of applications but it becomes worse each day. So why is a company like Google not willing or able to hire more staff within the last 6-8 months? In general why do you have such a big and slow application approval process? What could we do in the worst case? Our applications were just created to manage ads and spend (a lot) money for it. The approval process itself is nonsense. If you get an developer token for your application, you can in fact modifier your app afterwards and do what ever you want to do. Someone even mentioned a black market for developer-tokens. If there is any way to abuse Google Adwords API, you should prevent it in the api/web services. Hi Kevin, We applied in January 2011, pinged token approval team by email several times, but we were not getting any replies during last 3 months. We have seen a lot of threads with requests to speed up token approval process on this forum, so we were patient, but our product is going to production soon. The token is the only thing which is keeping us from releasing our product even in testing mode. Yes, we too have been waiting for sometime and ours is for a renewal of a developers key (Customer ID: 466-899-7123). Hi Kevin, We have also applied several months ago and after sending all the requested screenshots etc. we haven't got any update despite the many follow-up emails I have sent... Hi Kevin, We have been in the same situation for a couple of months now :( If you could provide us with an update on the backlog, when you guys expect to be back on track with processing token requests and emails that would really be helpful. Hi, Could someone tell me what the normal duration is for the API developer token approval? We have requested access late 2011, and the token is still "Pending Approval". We have had requests for additional information three times now, and have sent the information each time. Is there any way to speed up the process?
