was when they actually existed, but primarily not on the same fence.

By design black bloc is cell based with no central leadership. The US
variant of antifa is a corruption of the ideals. Stragglers latched
onto european tactics, terminology and perverted the ideology. They're
worse than a cult, and they have a cryptic and perverted hierarchy.
The vast majority recruited (they have a huge recruitment machine) are
outcasts, the type that are going to become a victim of whatever
ideology gives them a feeling of importance. Like any cult, gang, etc.
They're groomed online until they get given a task. In the mean time
they're encouraged to promote anarchy. By the time they are engaged to
any serious task, you'd need Guantanamo level interrogation to get
them to talk. Martyrdom is heroic. Not getting caught is even more
heroic to them. Watch how they swarm, they put bodies against a
target, the actor then moves in, makes the attack, backs through the
line and disappears, then the crowd disperses and regroups. They're
very chaotically organized and you have about the same chance of
breaking a cell as you do breaking an ISIS cell. And their ideology is
as strong as ISIS. They may have been punks at one point, and they are
still physically weak, but they are as dangerous as isis because they
believe your life is not as valuable as what they are indoctrinated to
believe is right. Black bloc "leadership" arent the folks you'd
expect. PayPal, GoFundMe, and bitcoin makes a massive amount of money
off of antifa transactions.

These kids liken themselves to the French resistance, and they're

Seems like Black Bloc is a tactic, not a group. Dressing all in black so
police can’t single out individuals. And what we’re talking about is
anarchists, not a new thing. President McKinley was killed by an anarchist in
1901.

But, this is actually a serious matter. Sometimes. These people who
try to destroy a person's life and career over some little
disagreements can be business dangerous. They will band together, and
if you dont comply, they will target your customers and any public

With only having recieved a single one at this point, its hopefully

It may be a legitimate complaint, as in not a scam.

But … and this is just my opinion and therefore worth what
you paid for it … it seems like a very “Karen” sort of thing

Definitely didn’t have Britt Ekland. This has a young Robert Blake. I like
the cast listing says Nick Nolte as Hippy (uncredited). It was a pretty low
budget film so no big name stars.

Worth watching IMHO, but maybe I just have very strange taste in movies.

I am an optimist by nature. I doubt all conspiracy theories. I even feel that
most guvmnt folks are decent people trying to do a good job. I have no doubt
these groups exist, just like the John Birch Society used to be a thing. Like
you, I doubt their ability to be a force powerful enough to affect the
direction of the nation.

If the the US guvmnt, could not get Castro killed, well... I think you are
probably safe Ken.

The USSR used to be so good at this kind of stuff. Now-a-days they try

Have you ever watched Electra Glide in Blue? I assume one of the streaming
services has it, might have to rent the DVD.

Kind of a cult film, but your mention of hippies reminded me of it. Google it,
interesting facts about the director, cinematographer, members of the band
Chicago having bit parts as actors, where and how it was filmed. Don’t expect
it to leave you feeling better about mankind though.

They call it a Hohmann Transfer. They get into an orbit just below the
ISS and orbit until they get out in front of the ISS. Then they turn around and
let the ISS catch up to them.

Watch this video from about the 5:10 point.

It's not quite like shooting a bullet. There is a window that they can
maneuver within. It may have to do with the amount of propellant carried in the
"garage" attached to the back of the crew dragon. There also has to be enough
left in that to de-orbit.

I saw a series of diagrams somewhere (maybe on the SpaceX web site?)
that illustrated all the various maneuvers at the different stages.

The approach to the ISS is interesting in that there is an exclusion
zone of sorts all around the ISS. They need to target to outside that zone
until they make their final approach. Once they are in a parallel orbit just
outside the exclusion zone, they can rotate and maneuver into the docking
station. The crew dragon (and the cargo dragon) is that the whole operation is

It's not quite like shooting a bullet. There is a window that they can maneuver
within. It may have to do with the amount of propellant carried in the "garage"
attached to the back of the crew dragon. There also has to be enough left in
that to de-orbit.

I saw a series of diagrams somewhere (maybe on the SpaceX web site?) that
illustrated all the various maneuvers at the different stages.

It's not quite like shooting a bullet. There is a window that they can
maneuver within. It may have to do with the amount of propellant carried in the
"garage" attached to the back of the crew dragon. There also has to be enough
left in that to de-orbit.

I saw a series of diagrams somewhere (maybe on the SpaceX web site?) that
illustrated all the various maneuvers at the different stages.

The approach to the ISS is interesting in that there is an exclusion zone
of sorts all around the ISS. They need to target to outside that zone until
they make their final approach. Once they are in a parallel orbit just outside
the exclusion zone, they can rotate and maneuver into the docking station. The
crew dragon (and the cargo dragon) is that the whole operation is autonomous.

Re: [AFMUG] OT Doug and Bob's Excellent Adventure - 2nd Try

2020-05-31 Thread chuck
That was a nice video. Very counterintuitive.

They call it a Hohmann Transfer. They get into an orbit just below the ISS and
orbit until they get out in front of the ISS. Then they turn around and let the
ISS catch up to them.

Watch this video from about the 5:10 point.

I found it astounding to learn that during the first NASA manned docking
test, the guys would give it some throttle and get farther away from the
target. Nobody had thought it through.

More throttle == faster == higher orbit == slower orbital period.

So you have to slow down to catch up if you want to dock.If you are
behind, you slow down until you get ahead and then speed up to raise up and
slow down...

The approach to the ISS is interesting in that there is an exclusion zone of
sorts all around the ISS. They need to target to outside that zone until they
make their final approach. Once they are in a parallel orbit just outside the
exclusion zone, they can rotate and maneuver into the docking station. The crew
dragon (and the cargo dragon) is that the whole operation is autonomous.

Not sure what happens to Boeing capsule if collapse of air travel on top of
737 Max fiasco spells the end of Boeing as a company.

1522 EDT (AKA 3:22 PM)

1422 CDT (AKA 2:22 PM)

1322 MDT (AKA 1:22 PM)

1222 PDT (AKA 12:22 PM)

If you're not on daylight saving time, you know what to do.
