Under win ME, 384 mb ram, 700 Mhz Celeron.  OOo 2.0.0 runs well.

Installed m139 (OO-dev 2.0) to separate directory.  Program in all modules seems
to hang temporarily after menu selections or other actions are taken.  Processor
usage spikes, and mouse freezes intermittently.  Initial load of splash screen
also exhibits this behavior.  Delays are long enough to make the programs 
unusable.

I did not see this behavior in previous 680 builds.

While  moving  a image with the drag and drop feature from one page to  
another the openoffice writer crashes.  
Everytime when I reopen the file with openoffice, openoffice stops working and  
the system load goes up.

@ft: Manual style override is already a feature of OOo, and that is what I am
talking about. If you think this is correct behaviour by design, why the English
pragraphs don't follow it? i.e. you can change fonts anywhere in the document,
including the beginning of a paragraph, and OVERRIDE the default font style.
Please implement the exact same behaviour for CTL paragraphs. This is rediculous
and I wonder why it hasn't yet been fixed in OOo 2.0.

sometimes I, too, look instinctively for this option in the context menu,

I have a presentation which I created in OO 1.1.3 on Mandrake 10.1. On Mandrake
2006 which uses 1.1.5 when I try to load that saved presentation, OpenOffice
secfaults. So does ooimpress. The "Loading" appears at the bottom of the screen,
but the loading does not start (green squares along the bottom do not appear).
and ooffice crashes with a segfault. This does not always happen, but it usually
does with this file. 

If I open a different presentation first, and then load this one, it will load. 

I thought this might have been due to upgrade from 10.1 to 2006 so I did a fresh
install  of Mandrake 2006, and ooffice worked for a couple of days, but now it
segfaults again.
Note that an earlier version of that same presentation does not segfault. 
I have tried, once I opened it, to save the presentation under a different name.
But that newly named one also segfaulted. 

Kernel 2.6.12

(Today it opens most of the time, but not always. Yesterday it hardly ever did
not segfault)

This occurs on two different machines, so it would seem not to be a harware
fault on one of them.

Hi, This issue is not going to be addressed in the near future; at least not 
from an enhancement point of view. Although this request seems trivial enough, 
unfortunately a core product code change is required. Offcourse there are big 
plans by CN for the implementation of Discussion Services, which is the 
replacement for ezmlm/anzu/mailing lists. Again something that is not going to 
happen soon.

However, if this issue is considered critical enough, then a request may be 
created to impelement this through an instance-set. It remains to be seen if 
the SUN Account will agree to accept this as an important enough issue for 
another custom work.

This bug also appears to be a regression from Staroffice 7.

Created an attachment to document the problem:

* Opening file 57401.xls in Excel or SO 7 gives an answer of 2 in cell B1
* Opening the same file in oo2.0 gives an answer of 0 in cell B1
* Also in oo2.0, there's this possibly related problem:
 - click on cell B1
 - click at the end of the formula in the formula bar
 - make a change to the formula such as deleting the right parenthesis,
   and reinserting the right parenthesis
 - hit control-shift enter to complete the array formula
 - Result incorrectly spans 5 cells instead of the single cell

I can't say for sure but I believe the last build that worked was m129. 

Although I still don't believe that it's OOO problem - I could have installed
many OS patches since - and I really don't notice when I install what.

yes - same here...

I built older versions of OOO without problems on this box since I think about 6
or 7 milestones I'm getting this error.

If I do replace the checkdll with an empty script it will run the build
completely but then segfaulting in regcomp.bin later when creating the packages.

I'm pretty convinced there IS some problem with the linker but I have no idea
what I can do about it...

Importing the attached file results in a document with numbers that are
virtually all incorrect (shown as zero, actually parsed by OO.o as very small
numbers). The original file was exported from QuickBooks; I've then opened it in
Excel to clean up names for submitting the file to the bug database.

Opening in Excel (or even in OO.o 1.1.x!) will show you what the numbers ought
to look like.  This is a frustrating regression.

(I suspect the previous description was lost somehow).

I created a database from Windows X64 containing a date field and defined a form
to enter some data. Then I restarted into Linux (Fedora core 4) and started to
read and/or update the database. However every date entered is represented as
01/01/1970. 

Returning to Windows I get the originally entered date back.

I created a database with a date field using Windows XP. When using Linux I want
to read and update the same database, but I get 01/01/1970 for each date in
stead of the date I entered in Windows.

I run Windows X64 (64 bits version of XP) and Fedora Core 4.

If usefull I will send the database to the person that is researching this. It
is quite a small database (one record with around 5 occurrences).

After installing Fedora Core 4 x64 I immediately ran yum to update OOo.
I got version 2.0.
When starting the app I get the error-message after the progressbar was
completed and the OOo banner closed down:

File  "Example3.sxw" looks a bit different in OO 2.0 then in OO 1.1.5. I have
attached the sceenshots to see the differences. "Ex3_OO_1-1-5.png" shows the

Hello. On OOo 2 writer I did specified outline numbering (Tools -> Outline
Numbering) character style 'Chapter Numbering' for Heading 1' but after I saved
and close the document, and re-open it, the Character Style automatically gets
back to "Numbering Symbols". It has been like it since Beta version and I am
xpecting a fix for 2.0.0 but seems the problem is still there.

This only happen with one particular document. 
Here is the document and this is how to reproduce this problem:

(becareful: download it, don't open it. Apache seems giving wrong content-type
thus open this file directly in Mozilla browser, causing browser hang)

The Chinese fonts used in this document are ShanHeiSun and ZenKai. They could
both be downloaded freely from a website in case you need them:
http://unifont.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/CJKUnifonts

Here is how to reproduce in case someone wish to file a bug for it:

1) Open the document;
2) Go to outline and click to change the character style for Heading 1 from
Numbering Symbols to Chapter Numbering;
3) Please have a look at any Heading 1 and make sure the leading numbering font
color become white above orange eclipse background. As defined in Chapter
Numbering style, the font color should be white;
4) save the document and close the document;
5) re-open this document (you don't need to restart openoffice);
6) check Heading 1 text you see the font color is NOT white;
7) go to Tools -> outline and the Heading 1 character style goes back to
Numbering Symbole.

I tried this on OOo 2 and 1.9 on Windows, Gentoo Linux and Debian Linux. OOps. 

Also please notice this seems to be a bug on saving document. I tried to open
the xml files in this odt file with a text editor and replaced the character
style in Heading 1 numbering style manually and zip up the files, create a odt
file manually, and the result is workable odt file with expected character style
'Chapter Numbering'

This is an Excel-to-OpenOffice gotcha - currency is treated as numeric in Excel/VBA, which is where this macro was originally written.  However, what you say makes sense, now the behaviour of the Currency type is defined in this way.

 
May I suggest a small enhancement to the online help to describe this behaviour, particularly as it differs from VBA in a way that some users converting from MS Office may not expect?  I did read the help when I had this issue, but I found nothing to suggest I was using the wrong data type.
