[arr] Re: The dilemma about extracts from DVD!

2008-10-30 Thread lalisingh20
Vithur bhai, pls don't stop sharing the BGM.

If you read kaissiom email carefully, I think he's saying it's ok
toshare BGMs but not vocals.

hey kaissiom, thanks for giving us the BGMs and taking it away from
us. I was thinking do you mind if I ask you wat u do for a living...
because ur emails are always long and serious.

I have a solution to this dilemma: BAN kaissiom from posting anything
on this group... and everything will return to normal.

--- In arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com, kaissiom [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:

 Dear Aravind,

Now you feel the dilemma I have been facing for at least a year or
two... ever since I heard my BGM on Radio. I have numerous BGMs and
other High Quality rips from DVDs that I can't share :(

The fact is... we trust our brothers and sisters on this group here.
We are all here for the same purpose... to share and celebrate Rahman.
And it is with this spirit that we share these rare and generally
unavailable bits and pieces. But once we share something in the
public space like this group, whatever we share becomes available to
the public, who doesn't necessarily have to be a true, devoted,
 dedicated Rahman fan.

You can not imagine the pain I felt when I heard my BGM on the Radio.
And I knew it was my BGM because it was edited.. I had edited it. I
felt like I had somehow betrayed Rahman... his hard work. That's when
I made the conscious decision to stop sharing BGMs.. it was right
 after RDB bgms.

Anyhow... I would definitely like to point out one major thing...
namely the difference between a)BGMs and b)Vocals from DVD

I'm not aware of the copyright laws about the soundtrack on DVDs, but
it would be great if someone(Amith Chandran?) could shed some light on
that. But please notice the difference between the above mentioned
 musical bits from DVD:

 a)BGM (Background Music) bits:
 1. Available commercially: NO.. unless released as a soundtrack like
some of the tracks in BOSE.
 2. Rights owned by: Producer/Composer, don't know?
 3. Violations of copyright laws: Maybe, don't know?

 b)Vocals (extracted from DVD):
 1. Available commercially: YES.. in the form of original CD. We are
extracting the music(vocals) from the DVD, but the same exact music is
available in the commercial form in original CD. Commercial here
implies money can be made from it. And technically it shouldn't
matter if you extract vocals from a CD or a DVD... because it's the
same song and the same vocals. Therefore, you are tampering with a
commercially available product.. which definitely implies violation of
 copyright laws.
 2. Rights owned by: same right-holders as the original CD
 3. Violated of copyright: Definitely YES.

Therefore, to conclude, we must note the obvious difference between
 just a BGM(not commercially available) vs. Vocals(Commercially
 available in form of CD).

The copyright laws regarding BGMs are not very clear and may not be
very well defined in the legal system.. it may be something like...
All rights of the DVD are owned by the producer? But we can still
argue that BGMs are by themselves not available to the public in
commercial form. If there is demand for it then maybe these
producers/composers should start making BGMs commercially available...
that way we don't have to go through the process of ripping and
sharing these BGMS. It could be a market they are overlooking and
while they do something about it, we are filling up the void for the
die-hard fans and that too for free. The free part is a big deal
because nobody is making money from these BGMs and that is what it
boils down to.. how much money did the copyright holders lose?

On the other hand, copyright laws of Audio CD are very well defined.
Either the Record Company owns it(most of the times) or the producer
owns it or the composer owns it or they own it partially( Rahman is
 working on it).
I believe full length vocals of any song should not be shared..for the
very same reason we do not share full length audio songs from Rahman's
 CDs.

Rahman is an excellent corporate citizen and he is our role model. We
should learn from him and follow him in his ideals as true fans. We
as a group and as true Rahman fans are against piracy and plagiarism.
Not just Rahman's... please buy original CDs and DVDs of all the
 Artists you like!

 Make Rahman Proud,
 Wasim.

OK my sense of poetry is overrated. Could u please explain the poetry
behind these lyrics below, it makes no sense to me at all:

Chalka Chalka Re from Saathiya:

gaeyaa meree pyaasee rah gayee
tulasee vaalee vaadee rah gayee
chuulhaa main jalaatee rah gayee

As far as I can understand it says
My cow remained thirsty
the valley of tulasi remained
I kept burning the stove

Now, someone please explain how these genius of lyrics are supposed to
describe the joy of a girl who is engaged and about to get married.

I don't even understand tamil and I prefer listening to Yaro Yarodi
than listening to the Chalka chalka one because it makes no damn
sense. Better to listen to something that you don't understand than
listen to something that makes no sense.

I'm nobody to doubt Gulzars lyrics, but honestly Javed Akthar write
simple yet elegant lyrics, and to the point. Gulzar write these
metaphors that only he can understand. Like i mentioned gulzars lyrix
are fancy because the plugs in hindi/urdu/farsi words. Since most
people dont' understand it they think it must be class. Also, did you
know that Chaiya chiaya from dilse is actually a punjabi folk song
with punjabi lyrics. Alot of people said rahman copied the music, but
in reality they were talking about the lyrics. Gulzar simply turned
the punjabi lyrics into hindi/ urdu lyrics.

I think most people would agree that best Hindi lyrical quality for
RAhman comes from Javed Akthr and then Prasson Joshi and then maybe
Mehboob. Every time Rahman teams up with Gulzar, I'm hesitant and I
hope he does a good job. Tere bina in Guru was reaaly realy good, but
what about barso re, yammo, does it make sense? But notice gulzar also
happnes to churn out good lyrics for his friends like vishal bhardwaj.

understood lines? No.. So we can find fault... But did they make
you curious
to know their meanings? For me, YES ..i searched for every
meaning..word-by-word and the song's beauty manifested in more
sublimal
  realm. It works for me.

One of my fav line of Gulzar: Raqs karthi hai Shab bhar, meri
tanhaayee
  hain.. (from a non-ARR song).

Firstly, i liked the sound of the words Raqs and Shab. if you are
curious
enough, plz look into their meanings and let me know if you liked
that line.

To give a very loose generic analogy, Javed Akhtar's lines are like
  Ashutosh Gowariker films..Simple...Very good..honest.. and
Gulzar's lines
are like Maniratnam films.. a bit more aesthetic, thought-provoking,
sensitive. Now i dont know if it is coincidence or my exactness
in analogy,
that Ashutosh vibes well with Javed Akhtar and Maniratnam with
Gulzar. .

As i said, it is matter of one's sensibilities and the kind of
poetry one
likes. Both are geniuses in their own way.

friends, my family and everyone I know loves Papu, kabhi kabhi and
Kahin to. Kabhi Kabhi is a craze all over India.

It's one thing for chord to express his opinion, he's entitled to it.
But it's another thing when Rahman is changing or setting a new trend
and his fans are still stuck in the 90's as if the y2k bug never hit
them. It's even 8 years since y2k, times change, so does music. so
does Rahman. I'm glad he's changing and i'm happy with his music,
Rahman does not need a few fans to validate his standards or success.
The sales and the popularity speak for him. He's still the best in
the market, Yuvvraaj or not.

 My thoughts .
 1) People wishing for Taal II, forget it. No Taal hangover
likely
with this record, and Rahman will never reach the same heights
 as he
once did in the late 1990s (it's only normal since every
 artist has
their peak and it doesn't mean that Rahman cannot come out with
brilliant work today, as he has proven many times recently).
 2) Soundtrack will likely be quite commercial oriented with
 hummable
melodies, but less of classical, old melody styles that we heard
  in JA
 and Ada.
 3) The tempo of this song is THE EXACT SAME TEMPO (speed)
that you
hear in the instrumental piece on the website. May not mean
  anything,
just an observation. Frankly, I am a bit underwhelmed by this
  song SO
FAR, which may just only be my perception and expectations.
 4) I fear less ethnic percussion and more keyboard rhythms
in this
 soundtrack (as we just heard).
 5) Expect lots of strings, choirs, piano, and other symphonic
arrangements (as we have also heard a bit) with less of
 traditional
Indian instrumentation as Western classical music appears to
 be the
 musical backdrop for this film.
 6) Rahman once said that the soundtrack is mellow. Combine
that
with words like peaceful and soulful, you get the idea.
 7) Many will be initially disappointed with the music, as
  comparisons
to Taal and Kisna will be abound, but the music will catch on
 later.

Rawat, What are you talking about?

I can't decide if you are being comical or sarcastic or I don't know.
Since when did Rahman get a reputation of creating music only for
the sons and daughters of rich and powerful who have top end systems
that cost a king's ransom to buy.?

That is a pretty absurd statement and I've only seen it coming from
you. All Rahman fans know what kind of layers and nuances Rahman adds
to his songs. These minute details can be better heard on high-end
systems with good quality audio but that doesn't undermine the
over-all likability or the shelf-life of the song. Quality of sound
has been a big plus in the West and is also expected in India as India
is progressing and people are being able to afford the next best thing.

Moving from cheap radio/transistor to a cassette player is a huge jump
in quality.. similarly moving from cassette player to a CD player is.
And so is moving from 128kbps to 2400kbps. We should be encouraging
people like wasim, AJ, Vithur and others who take great pains to rip
and upload these pieces. No wonder, kaissiom doesn't share anything
anymore because there are not enough people that appreciate high
quality music. Just like Thiruda Thiruda was too early for it's
time... this high quality is too early for it's time... it will be
better appreciated in 10 years, maybe.

Good that you took all this troubles to listen to it and liked it
therefore, but millions and billions of people in India and all over
the
world don't understand it all and don't have infrastructure to
listen to
it at 128mp3, thus they wouldn't be able to appreciate it.

That is one of the main reason that several of ARR's good compositions
fail to be likened by general public who still listen to cassettes, or
get to listen only of cheapo radios/ transistors.

And, elderly people also fail to appreciate such finesse as age has
taken its toll on their hearing powers and they just can't make out
such
 arrangements.

That's when ARR gets a reputation that he creates music only for the

Re: [arr] Let's compare Pizza and Masala Dosa

Very well said! I agree with you 100%

--- In arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com, syed.sahel [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:

Yeah, sure, let's go ahead an compare Cheese Pizza with Masala Dosa.
 Which one is better?

Different music, different eras, different style. It's wrong to
compare two artist. Because art is an extension of self. Therefore,
by definition, every artist and their art pieces are going to be
different. Similarly they appeal to different audiences. Why in the
world do you think there are so many genres in music. And then there
is simple law of economics. If it exists.. someone is making it,
there is supply. If there is supply, someone is wanting it, there is
demand. Supply cannot exist without demand, but marketers would
disagree.. as it's their job to create the demand, whole another topic.

If you go and tell a hardcore TuPac fan that Mozart is the greatest..
would you think he/she'll agree? Most probably not, given that the
person has even listened to Mozart.

They say music is a universal language, but that is because of the
property of music. Vibrations created by various devices that travel
through air reach our ears. Sure, but the one thing we tend to ignore
about that statement is the fact that it only applies to certain
degree to instrumentals. Once we add lyrics with a particular
language to the music, it completely changes shape and becomes more
 demographic.

How many of us actively go out and listen to Mandrin, Indonesian,
Portugese and Armenian music. Who is your favorite Swahili composer?

I'm sure there is a great, world class Swahili composer. But since
you don't know about him, would that belittle the composer.
Similarly, Swahili people may not know about Rahman. Does that make
 Rahman a bad composer?

There are millions of Hindi speaking people in India who refuse to
listen to Tamil or other regional language music. If I don't
understand it, I don't listen to it! Are they all criminals? No,
people have their choices and preferences. As long as there is demand
for something, there will be supply. You will notice obvious
differences in the music and BGMs of Rahman's Hindi scores vs. his
 Tamil scores. Why? Different audiences!

Once everyone decides they have had enough of Rahman... No More, and
they completely stop listening to Rahman, produces won't go to Rahman,
Rahman will have to lower his rate, even then they wont' go and
eventually Rahman will stop composing commercial music. Will that
 happen? I don't think so, it's a hypothetical scenario.

Beetles have sold the most albums in the world. Duh, it's in English,
Engish also happens to be the most spoken language in the world. Any
co-incidence? Plus they have been around for decades.. plus the
western technology was superior and efficient in getting these albums
 out the mass.

Are beetles better than Mozart? Oooh, tough one! How about MJ, is he
better than Beetles? How about Yanni, is he better than MJ?

Once Sonu Nigam asked this question to Naushad sahab, one of the great
melodic kings of Hindi music, during one of the SaReGaMa episodes:

Naushaad sahab, who do you think is best composer amongst the current
crop of Hindi composers? (This was during late 90's)

His Answer: Who ever is giving hits!

I think that sums it up pretty well, if you subscribe to that ideology.

I have lot of discussions with Wasim(kaissiom), my cousin, about
Rahman's music. He's an absolute fan of Rahman. But I divide it by
language, when it comes to Indian music, it's gotta be Rahman.
American music; there are too many artists, but my favorites are
Eminem, Robert Miles, ATB, TuPac and Square Pusher.

So, what is better Pizza or Masala Dosa?

I like them both, depending on my mood, not one is better than the
other.

Re: [arr] Voiceless BGMs - we are spoiled

2008-05-10 Thread lalisingh20
Thanks to kaissiom and Aj, I think we are spoiled in this group with
wonderful voiceless BGMs. Honestly, no offense to Vithur or anyone
who is putting in effort to rip BGMs, I only like the BGMs posted by
kaissiom now, since AJ is not posting for a long time. Only because
of quality and the fact that they are truly voiceless.

Although it is great to collect all the BGMs Vithur and others are
posting, they are not as enjoyable as the one kaissiom posts, because
they still have some voice in the background... which at least kills
my mood. I want to be able to put the BGM CD in the stereo, just like
how I put in a music CD, and enjoy the music. Sometime the ones with
the voice tells us exactly what is going on in the movie... so the
focus changes to the movie where I start visualizing it..not paying
much attention to the music, rather paying attention to the voice and
dialogues. This is why I prefer only truly voiceless BGMs.
Unfortunatley, kaissiom doesn't post all of his work.

Only if Vithur could start posting truly voiceless BGMs..it would be
dream come true. Or if kaissiom had never posted anything... we would
have appreciated vithur's efforts more greatly. Now I'm unsatisfied
with vithur's efforts only because I know it could be better. So,
forgive me if I'm hurting anyone's sentiments but the truth is we are
spoiled in this group to even have any BGM available to us in any
format. But Rahman's music is such that we want more and more and the
best.

Do you guys agree?

direction. Don't worry, no offense taken. The other problem is
people are way too sentimental and sensitive on this group. Any time
anyone criticizes... Oh no, the world falls apart.. be realistic
and objective, grow up people.

If someone makes a point, be objected and FIRST try to understand what
they are saying... then comment. I never claimed to be better than
anyone here. I never claimed to know how to rip BGMs. I'm not taking
anyone's side or putting anyone down here. Vithur's or Kaissiom they
have both done a great job providing us with countless BGMs, it's
people like them who make this group lively.

My point was.. when you have two collections of Swades BGM.. 1)
completely voiceless (kaissiom) and 2) partially voiceless (vithur).
Which one would you keep?

The point I was trying to make..AGAIN.. was just that I, and maybe
other people as well, prefer completely voiceless over partially
voiceless. And then I stated that we are so spoiled because of that.
we are so spoiled with completely voiceless BGM that we do not
fully appreciate partially voiceless BGMs. Do I not like Vithur's
work or can I do better than him? NO. I grab everything Vithur or
Kaissiom post on here.. but when I listen to partially voiceless
BGMs.. I wish they were completely voiceless. Don't tell me you know
wish that either. We are here's for Rahman's music, not to listen to
an incomplete dialogue from a movie.

Anyway, you tried to take this comment in a negative way, so I had to
clarify my point again. Let's keep it at that.

Let's see what the other two gentlemen (vithur and Kaissiom) have to
say about this.

who is putting in effort to rip BGMs, I only like the BGMs posted by
kaissiom now, since AJ is not posting for a long time.

Very well said, Wasim about the expectations. I agree with you.

I also hope they have good lyrics for hindi and think it's ujjaiynee only.

--- In arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com, kaissiom [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:

 Hi all,

I had a couple of questions, please chime in if anybody knows.

 1. Re: ATM - Couple of songs have been credited to Ujjaini. Is this
the same Ujjaini from Saregampa Challenge 2005? Because, if it is
then it's great to know that Rahman is tapping in the talent emerging
from these competitions. I would love to see Rahman give opportunity
to Mauli, Sumedha or Amanat from SRGMP C2007.

 2. Re: Sivaji(Hindi) - Does anybody know who is doing the lyrics in
Hindi? I seriously hope they rope in Javed Akthar sahab or Prasoon
Joshi for lyrics. A lot of dubbed albums have suffered the fate of
 bad lyrics when translated.

p.s. I have been hooked on ATM. The album keeps growing on me, all
songs hold their own. Whoever has done the Remix of Ponmagal, has
done a great job. But the tortoise of the album, which has slowly and
steadily won the race of winning my heart is Kelamal Kaiyile. I
didn't like this song in the beginning, I thought it was average, but
wow, it was just my brain trying to understand what is going on in
that song. It has some serious experimentation - with tamil song and
subtle techo/trans beats. Only Rahman can think, create and deliver
 something like that.

People talk about expectations from Rahman albums, having too high
expectations etc.. Honestly I do not have any expectations of Rahman.
I'm a devotee of Rahman, and take whatever he has to offer, as a
boon.

All that is good and successful comes from God, all that is bad and
failure is because of myself - Rahman himself (I can't remember the
exact phrase but it was to the same effect.)

 Always,
 Proud to be a Rahmaniac.

Hello Rahmaniacs,

It was a couple of years back that I accidentally or unintentionally
came across a method of fetching *voiceless* BGMs. And
co-incidentally, at around the same time our dear friend AJ (where are
you AJ?) also discovered another way of doing the same thing. It was
music to the ears and treat for the fans. We've come a long way
since, many other wonderful people in the group have joined the BGM
frenzy since. I admit, I have become selfish enough to keep the newer
BGMs to myself for quite some time now, but there are multiple reasons
for that, which could be the subject of a whole another topic. But
this time around, it's another breakthrough, DVD-Quality music.

In my personal opinion, in this i-pod age, there are 3 types of
  music listeners in general:
  A) People that are size conscious (due to the limitations of the
  hard-drive on their i-pod/computer)

  B) People that are quality conscious (want the best quality regardless
  of size)

  C) People that are neither type-A nor type-B and basically have no
preference and could care less about the technical details.

Well, I happen to be a hardcore type-B person. And if you happen to
be type-B, carry on reading, and if you are not type-B, but still
  interested, you are also welcome.

I could care less about the size on my hard-drive, as long as I can
grab hold of the highest quality Rahman music out there. It is a
pretty straight forward logic, as the size of the song goes down, the
quality goes down. Although, the 5 MB, 128 kpbs song sounds great and
you can't tell the difference on your ipod, the difference becomes
quite noticeable on a hi-fi system or when playing the music on loud
volume. I personally store Rahman's music at the highest quality on
my computer or my ipod (I actually don't like ipods, I have a
Creative Zen M, if you want quality, I would recommend Creative). The
huge file sizes do reduce the number of songs I can have, but going
with a bigger HD takes care of that problem.

So, in my pursuit of high quality Rahman music, I had yet another
breakthrough… DVD-Quality music. I have been quietly, one at a time,
ripping DVD music of all of my Rahman DVDs. Let's not forget that we
already have the highest-quality audio available in the market for
these movies in form of original Audio CDs. But the DVD audio I'm
ripping is unarguably superior. I now have 3 x each of Rahman's
songs. 1) in highest quality mp3 format, 2) in Audio CD format, 3) in
DVD music format. Yes, call me a Rah-maniac, when I said I'm a
hardcore type-B person, I meant it.

Just based on simple logic of relation between file size and quality
here's how they stack up: Example, Chotti si Aasha from Roja, run
  time: Approximately 5 minutes.

  1) Highest quality mp3 format, 320 kbps:
  File Size(approx.): 11.3 MB

  2) Audio CD, wav format:
  File Size(approx.): 48.3 MB

  3) DVD-Quality audio, wma format:
  File Size(approx.): 81.2 MB

Well, does it really make a difference? You have to listen to it to
believe it. You can hear all the minute details and all instruments
in back quite clearly. The highs are sharper and the basses are
lower. I mean I could talk all about it, but unless you hear it, you
  won't know.

Well, assuming that we are all Rahman fans on this group, and assuming
that all of the fans should at least have Roja in their collection,
I'm hesitantly willing to sharing ONE song from Roja in DVD quality.
Why you may ask? Because I would hate to keep the gem to myself. It
is an experience every fan should experience. I can not describe it
in words...the joy of listening to Roja, Chor Chor, Bombay, Sapnay,
Duet, etc. in DVD Quality music.

What triggered my quest for this High-quality sound was that one post
on this group, where someone posted a Thiruda Thiruda song and claimed
it was DVD audio. I got excited, downloaded it, listened to it and I
could swear it can not be DVD quality audio, because the sound on the
Audio CD was definitely better. That was it! I decided to find out
what DVD quality audio would really sound like. I'm actually very
happy with my discovery, although it means more hard-drive space. But
I know sooner or later someone in this group will post more of these,
  just like the BGMs.

Re: [arr] Is it me or that snare too loud?

2007-05-02 Thread lalisingh20
Oh, that's what it's called- SNARE. Yes, I agree with you although I
didn't analyze the song the way you did. I had to go listen to it the
way you described it to find out what you are talking about. Good
observation, it does feel like someone is hammering on my head, during
some portions of the song or I should say snaring on my head. Thanks.

Hello Rahmaniacs,

I was listening to Guru again, just like every other day. I know, I
know, most people have moved on to Sivaji. I still have the hangover
from Guru as I'm trying to absorb Sivaji. Wow, every song in Sivaji
is so unique and like always slow poison. Well, going back to Guru,
  Tere Bina in particular.

It's definitely one of the best ARR songs, plus him singing it puts it
in another league completely. But if there is one thing I wish was
different about the song is the snare beat. Although the use of snare
itself is great, I find the pitch and volume of the snare a bit out
of place. I'm not critisizing Rahman, because as a fan I have come to
realize many a times that some of the unusual sounds in his songs
are intentional. Only the master knows his work and all we could do
is try to understand it. So, whether the snare bit there is
intentional? I don't know. May be it was Rahman's decision, may be it
was the work of the sound engineers. I'll never know. But I do know
that I would have appreciated the song a tab bit more, if the snare
  hadn't been that loud.

The song itself has a very hindustani/sufi elements to it, as it is
inspired by Sajna tera bina by NFAK. The singing and instruments
for the most part are also along the same lines, if there is one thing
different about the mood of the song is the snare beat. The snare
sounds like it is out of a pop/rock/english song. Again, that is
intentional, I'm not surprised by that, it is Rahman after all, and in
fact I feel it's great fusion. But I can't ignore the sharpness and
volume of the snare that it sometimes sounds like some kind of timer
ticking. And its volume level varies throughout the song. I feel as
if it was added on top of the song after the whole song was done.

It sounds great when it starts at 00:20
  All of a sudden there's a sharpness/volume increase at 00:39
It goes through minor changes in between and gets completely dropped
at 02:06 - The song sounds great without it.
It re-enters at a moderate level again at 02:47
It is well-blended with the background beat between 03:00 and 03:58
Then you can hear it in varying degrees until the song ends.

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I've had to turn the volume down
during certain parts of the song due to the snare. I know what you
are thinking, What is he doing complaining about the little things?

Well, I'm a Rahman fan, and by definition it means that I do pay
attention to and care about minute details in Rahman's songs.

But another thing I know about myself is that I have very sensitive
ears, I sometimes pick up sounds that most people in the room do not.
And that could just be a contributing factor to the whole situation.
So I was just wondering if anyone else felt the same way about the
snare being loud or is it just me after all?

  Regards,
  Wasim.

[arr] I need Rahman's vocals - please help!!!

2007-02-23 Thread lalisingh20
Friends,

I'm desparately looking for Rahman's vocals, with no music. For songs
like Yeh jo des hai, Luka chupi, Anbe ayuire, dilse re, etc.

Some of the above appear in kaissiom's medley towards the end. I was
wondering how and where did he get them. I contacted him but no
response. Did someone post them on the group and maybe I missed them.

If anybody has them please upload them or let me know where I can get
them. I want to listen to boss in complete silence minus any
instruments. Is that even possible to do on a CD or maybe a DVD?

Please help..
thanks.

It is not impossible. guys have you heard kaissiom's medley, towards
the end, he has used just the vocals of three different songs sung by
Rahman, and they are very clear and good quality and complete
paragraphs, you don't hear any instruments at all, you don't even hear
the original beat. You can clearly hear Aaa Aah, Yeh jo des hai and
even Luka Chuppi, just Rahman's vocals with some loop in the
background. For example in luka chupi, the part kaissiom has used, in
the original there is some heavy tabla playing but there is no trace
of tablas in the medley, not even a faint noise. Kaissiom has these
and I just want to know where to find these. If you guys have it then
please share. And kaissiom if you are reading, please share with us
where and how you acquired these vocals. Help a diehard Rahman fan.

[arr] kaissiom - Thanks a zillion to you!! - he deserves a round of applause people!!-

2007-01-22 Thread lalisingh20
One of the reasons i'm a regular visitor to the group is kaissiom and
other perople who keep adding extras to group. of course, i visit the
group everyday to find out the latest about Rahman, but also the
second thought in my mind is maybe kaissiom or someone posted
something today... it's always exciting to see kaissiom post
something...because it is always special. Although i'm a regular
visitor, i was not a member of the group, i
just joined the group to thank you kaissiom. i noticed you put such a
wonderful thing on the group and not a lot of replies, thanking you or
anything. so I thought I should thank you. you are doing a great job,
please post more things, i just
love everything you post. this mix is the best so far. how do you do
it? other peopl post mixes which are good too, but i notice that your
mixed have a different quality to it, in music, i notice you don't
really add anything new. U use all Rahman stuff, that is what makes
it even amazing. Some of the songs you blended in the medley were
just awsome. although most of the transitions in the medley were just
amazing.. i found some that were more than amazing... the transition
are so seamless that they sound original.

how did you get all those vocals of Rahman, do have a library of
those.. please share with us also.

-main vari vari transition - your timing was just great, the bass
sounds like it was in the original song.. good mix

-sapnay-swades-taal transition - perfect buildup of music

-Ayo re(swades)- Ayo(RDB)mix - simply mindblowing... how did u think
of that?

-most of hindusti-hindusti classical mapping is just superb.

-over 120 bits.. wow... tremendous effrot.. searching.. finding...
mapping.. editing.. everything... just brilliance.

It's amazing to know there are some very talented people on this
group... kaissiom, u used to post many things before but you have
slowed down recently... please post anything havee... small or big.

kaissiom and others hats off to you guys, you guys add a lot more to
the group, you guys are the reason people keep coming back to this
group... keep doing the good job.
