[arr] Silent Invocation C an inspiration

2010-09-07 Thread light4_u
Yesterday I was listening to the 'Silent Invocation C' first time (properly)
from the album 'Connection' and found out the similarity of the flute's tune
with the Islamic salaato salaam called Ya Nabi Salaam Alayka. Listen to it
from 0:35. In 'silent invocation' the tempo is bit slower just that's a
difference bitween both the tunes.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_QN4nbusfkfeature=related

I m not saying that its a copy but I think its a good thinking of ARR to use
that tune in 'invocation' as that tune is really melodious n soothing perfect
for the invocation.

movies n songs of ARR which i dont have till date. I think I have to come down

I liked what this group 'Cankisou' have done with the original song in their

Kishore I can understand very wel what u wanna say, I also want ARR to compose
music innovative equivalent as he use to do in 1990's (not the same
compositions or similar).

On other hand I think he has given that innovative equivalent music in saathiya
(not all the songs), Rang De Basanti, JTYJN n Delhi6 and these movies r of
2000's, so i think he can surly give that standard and that innovative
equivalent music again. We just have to wait for few years to listen to that
Level music. He can't do that in each n every project. He is a human being
after all not A God.

AR Rahman - the name does not just stands for world class music - which is a

For me, ARR is also about peace, humility, perseverance, respect,
inspiration, divinity, politeness, patriotism, wisdom, teamwork, creative
genius, spiritual, caring, one who respects mother, one who pushes his
ability every time to redefine something no one else has achieved and so
 many other noble qualities.

I am deeply saddened by the fact that media does not know the real worth of
such a lovely Indian and is too quick to forget the pride he has brought to
our country! ARR should come out of this and redeem his lost pride and answer
 his critics with his music!

I thought this episode must have created pain within ARR and upset him a
lot...But then I realized his words of wisdom All fame is God's and God
given; He does not own anything in this world including fame, money etc...
Therefore if fame or money were to go away from him suddenly, he stands to
lose nothing and its again God's wish.

He is such a great person and proved himself so much that his fame can never
be diminished, despite petty events like this one...

Something in me says that this will be a new phase in ARR's career and he is
going to create several Roja's and Dil Se's all again (though they woul be
musically quite different). Something in me says that ARR is going to create
path-breaking scores never before attempted. Something in me says the whole
world is going to celebrate our man like never before.

This expectation and my belief that it will be met 100% by ARR is what keeps
me going crazily after him. I wish and would like him to be regarded as the
best globally...which is quite within reach given his talents! I am waiting
for that day..the day when FIFA asks Rahman to score the anthem or when
Spielberg asks Rahman to score for his film or when Rahman releases his own
 album globally and stumps everyone

his own work with waka waka even if by negation, may be media caught
him unprepared and he uttered something he didn't meant to. Still,
whatever he said that raised the expectations, even without him having
said anything, expectation with an ARR song are always high, so
nothing became worse or bad by him uttering so.

  2. I loved waka waka song. Waka waka's tune was simple but

We (arr fans) care a damn when others dont like his music for

because he was suppose to give a song which can easily sung by
every indian n loved by every1 (he tried to do so) but he couldn't
  reach his goal.

  5. This kind of phase which arr is going through is not first time

I was rejected because of my voice’

Usha Uthup, now in the 40th year of her singing career, admits that she made
 her limitations her strength.

You have a distinct voice that was very different from what was in vogue
then. Did you face initial rejection when you started out?
I was rejected outright when I did my first audition for a documentary film.
But I consider myself lucky; I have been blessed by god. I’m an original
singer and have done well in these 40 years. I wouldn’t say it was easy,
but I am a very positive person. I made my limitations my strength and now my
career is on an upswing, touchwood!

Some singers try to copy you. Do you take that as a compliment?
Oh yes! It’s wonderful to see young people not only try to sing like me,
but also try to emulate my style of singing. I love it! It’s a great
 feeling.

You started out singing at nightclubs.. .
(Interrupting) I still do and I love every bit of singing at nightclubs. But
I never had any bad incident. I guess it depends on how you carry yourself.
Here I was, in a saree, singing with all my heart. It was and probably will
always be the prerogative of some people to come to nightclubs wearing slinky
outfits. But you see, I came on and I changed it (smiles).

You made the saree and big bindi your trademark style. Who inspired you to
 follow that style?
No one. I wish I could give you some sensational piece of  information but I
come from a middle class family and it didn’t seem necessary for me to
focus on how I looked. Yes, it did matter to me how well turned out I am. But
honestly, the sari, the bindi, the gajra… nothing was planned.

Earlier, Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar or Asha Bhonsle were just voices till
the electronic media came into the picture and brought them out. This is not
to say they were not wearing nice clothes. But it wasn’t important for any
of us to be body-conscious. But I’m happy to see so many youngsters so
competitive and body conscious. And much of it can be credited to Bollywood.

Is it difficult for you to do playback singing for actresses, because of a
 heavier voice?
(Emphatically) Of course! There’s this pre-conceived notion that songs for
the good girls have to be Lata or Asha, and bad girls, me. This kind of
notion is especially true for India. I can’t see it
changing in terms of playback singing.
What do you think of the present Indian pop music scene?
Sky is the limit. It’s great to see the way things have changed, making way
for technology and electronica in music. The music reality shows on TV are an
 amazing platform for the youth.

However, today’s music lacks the soul. Analog recording had more warmth.
But I do believe that change has to come because life is cyclic and
everything has to come back to what it was. I’m sure one day, someone might
stop and say, “Hey! Let’s get that magic and soul back to the songs.”

What do you think composers like Shantanu Moitra, Shankar-Ehsaan- Loy,
 Himmesh Reshammiya?
They are brilliant! They’ve got both classical and western background in
music, which is great. Shantanu and Shankar’s teams are wonderful. I
don’t know Himmesh so much. But he must have done something wonderful to
get people going crazy over him.

You have performed before Indira Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and Jomo Kenyatta.
 Any fond memories you recall?
When I sang ‘Malaika’ for Jomo Kenyatta, the President of Kenya, he told
me that with my kind of voice, I should belong to the African world. I
remember that day vividly. Meeting Mandela and Mother Teresa were wonderful
 experiences too.

Any particular composer you’d like to work with?
Yes, Shankar-Ehsaan- Loy and AR Rahman once again.

What was it like to sing for the Celebrate Bandra Festival?
It’s the most magical experience, as a singer, to be on stage. Any artiste
should give an arm and leg to be there. It’s also the 40th year of my
singing career, so it was special.

I wouldn’t say that it was like coming home because I keep going to Mumbai
 all the time.

You grew up in Bombay. Don’t you ever want to come back and settle here?
(Earnestly) I love it when I land in Mumbai. I learnt to cook, stitch, live
in this city. I miss the buzz, the excitement.. . it’s just something so
different. What pains me is that in my time, we were never scarred by
 religion.

[arr] CR Nana Excellent

2009-09-29 Thread light4_u
I m just loving the songs Sajna, Kurukuru Kan especially Nana. I especially
love Nana song because it shows the versatility of our boss. Who the hell can
even think thats its composed by an Indian composer without knowing it ? Its so
perfectly composed, sang, recorded, sound of the song etc. that even the local
people of south africa will think thats its composed sang by their local
composer singers. And its defenatly Blaaze singing some parts in the song
without a second thought, no idea about the other singers. ARR Blaaze
combination is always mindblowing.

'Nana' its so catchy, peppy, groovy etc. that it does not take a second listen
to like it. Our boss has always been a huge fan of African kind of music
African drums since the drums of 'Rukmani Rukmani' 2 'Nana' (complete song) n I
always loved whenever he gives that kind of music.

Long live A.R.Rahman may Allah subhana wa taala showers u n ur family with
Salaamti, Rehmat n Barkat (Peace, Mercy Blessings) always. Aameen.

Yea what a terrible n pathetic distribution by T-Series. Jodha Akbar, JTYJN,
Ghajni n now Blue. The audio has reached overseas but not in Gujarat. Why the
discrimination with the Gujaratis always ?

N the embarrassing moment for me, when I went to the shop n asked for the CD of
'Blue' movie (i mentioned audio but the shopkeeper didnt heard that) the
shopkeeper understoond some thing else that i m asking for 'Blue Movie' n he
was shocked because I asked him loudly n without any hesitation. I understood
that he got me wrong, he had no clue so again i repeated to him properly that i
m asking for the audio CD of the akshay kumar starrer film Blue. Then we both
laughed n the other guy standing there also started laughing. Phew ! I should
be careful nextime.

[arr] Sukhwinder Singh or Lucky Ali

2009-09-05 Thread light4_u
Ashok brother,
Wel bro thats what u think that Lucky Ali will make a mistake N this is the
worst comment anyone can say about any singer. How can u say that without
knowing it ? Lucky Ali has sung many songs of such kind that it will be very
hard to sing for any other singer in the same manner (i m not saying that any
perticular singer will make a mistake).

If u haven't heard the 'Sunoh' album of Lucky Ali then please listen to it, its
an exceptional album till date. If I have to rate the best album of all time in
india it will be 'Sunoh' and 'Vande Matram'. I cant judge the best among these
two albums. If I like Lucky Ali that does not mean I will say ill on Sukhwinder
Singh. If u like Sukhwinder Singh u shouldnt say ill words on Lucky Ali. By the
way I like Sukhwinder a lot too.

I said Lucky Ali should have sung this song because 'Aaj dil gustakh hai' is
totally Lucky Ali's type of singing, genre N sukhwinder can sing in many other
kind of generes too. But defenatly L.A. would have sounded much better than
S.S. in this song.

Guys please share ur views on this topic.

Best Regards.

[arr] Re: Dil Se as a heavy Sufi style soundtrack

2009-09-04 Thread light4_u
Dil se is some thing which happens, it is not created intentionally to be the
best album of all time. If A.R.Rahman will sit on a piano for composing an
album as good as Dil Se, sufi oriented he wont be abele to do that, it is
some thing which happens when it is ment to be, whether its sufi oriented or
western music. And nobody has to judge then it will strike in our minds.

If u dont wanna judge an album of that class, that level then why r u judging
Delhi 6, jodha akbar, meenaxi, swades, lagaan etc. to be of that class n level
? Dont be confused in ur opinion, stick to ur thoughs.

--- In arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com, ichord purev...@... wrote:

Well, I'm not expecting another Dil Se and to judge a soundtrack of that
class, that level I think is merely a subjective opinion. To me, Delhi 6's
music is of that class, that level, as is Jodha Akbar, Meenaxi, Swades,
Lagaan, Zubeidaa, Alai Payuthey, Kandukonden, Taal, etc. Expect the music of
Raavan to be in the same league.

I think what many people like about Dil Se and what they miss is the
incredible Sufi style dominance of that soundtrack. In recent albums, ARR
has created amazing Sufi songs in isolation within a soundtrack, but the Sufi
genre did not define the soundtrack. In Dil Se, it did. So, when or if ARR
creates a Sufi oriented soundtrack, not just a song or two, I think that's
when some people's thirst is finally going to be quenched.

Excellent Chord. I admire both of them s... much. Both of them canged the

the world what is called dancing. When we hear 'beat it' or 'bellie jeans' its
hard to believe that its 1981's music. Till date millions of music videos has
been made, but non of them give me more pleasure, entertainment, enjoyment etc.

With the news of MJ's death, I have taken a re-interest in MJ and his music.
It's interesting the psychology of why someone's work of art becomes popular
again when that person dies, supported by recent stats showing that MJ's
music is topping charts worldwide again.

As I downloaded some of his most famous and influential songs from Itunes
recently and listened carefully, I could not help draw up some comparisons
between his music and ARR's. Here are some parallels that I thought of:

 1) MJ and ARR are both perfectionists. There is a quality to both their
bodies of work that define high achievement and perfectionism, a certain
drive and ambition and motivation to be the best they can possibly be, often
working ridiculous hours to achieve this.

 2) Tightness and crispness of arrangements. Both MJ and ARR boast of
extremely high quality arrangements in their music and a very tight and
planned set of arrangements that are line with their perfectionistic work
 ethics.

 3) Both masters of rhythm: ARR and MJ both boast of extremely high quality
rhythmic concepts and super-intelligent rhythmic patterns in their songs.
 Again, consistent with tightness.

 4) Both are trend setters: MJ and ARR were both trend setters in their own
ways. Both revolutionized music in their own respective spheres and had a
huge following among artists of their kind.

 5) Both are passionate about unity, diversity, and charity: MJ and ARR share
a very similar type of compassion towards the world, towards the less
fortunate, and both believe in transcending artificial boundaries to help
unify cultures and races and highlight bonds that tie us all together,
irrespective race, culture, etc. Through their music, they were able to
transcend and go beyond hard set boundaries that were not able to be
transcended before (ARR with regional and international reaches and MJ with
 racial and ethnic reaches).

[arr] One of the best movement of my life

2009-01-16 Thread light4_u
Guys I apologize for being late in this topic. I was not here to
celebrate ARR's victory at GG as I was away from my home for business
work. So guys plz consider this message as, soon after the GG
announcement.

What a movement for every ARR fan, like me who had the faith in ARR
since his early days and recogniced his music as world's best, when
there were people in industry and surroundings who said ARR is not
that good or he won't last long here etc. Some of my class mates who
praised anu malik and jatin lalit in front of me and argue with me
that they r better than ARR. This movement changed every thing and
proved who was correct. This is nothing, still there is much to come
and much to achive for ARR in future inshaAllah.

Congrats to all of you.

My message for Sharukh khan. Mr. Sharukh this is the same A.R.Rahman
whom u replaced with Vishal-Shekhar and whom u r praising now like
india's pride, and u had said 'India mein aur bhi achche music
directors hain' (there r other music directors in india who r also
good).. No offence ment. I m sure he would be regrating for
replacing ARR and very shameful for his comment when he was on stage
of GG.

I went through 40 digests of our group, each digest containing 25
messages in one night as soon as I returned home and I was feeling
that I m present in that movement when ARR got awarded.

Delhi 6 is on its way and seems to be very appealing movie as wel as
music (of course). I think Delhi 6 music would be better than ARR
2008's work. No album in yet of Delhi 6, like always. Thank God we
have songs on internet otherwise I would have died in curiosity
waiting so much for ARR albums lol..

Warm Regards.

2009-01-11 Thread light4_u
Thanks Raghu for posting this interview. I had missed it and was
lookin for it since years. The interview was so spiritual.

It gave me goosebumps when ARR sang 'Damadum mast kalandar' because
its one of my most favourite too and listenin it form boss was like
wow! Most of my wishes for ARR has came ture (MashaAllah) like ARR
gets recognisition through out the world, he becomes No.1 music
composer, he collaborates with international pop icons etc.

I wish from my heart that ARR recompose and sing 'Damadum mast
kalandar' in one of his movies or albums. That would be great. There
is no rights issue involved in this matter because anyone can do it
and it has been already done by several singers and musicians. This
qawalli is almost 500 years old written and sang by the sufis. Till
now so many people have done this qawalli in their own style and
almost everyone has done it betifully, the one of the best I think is
done by 'Junoon' (pakistan rock band, sayoonee one) in Rock music.

Praying for A.R.Rahman that he brings GG and Oscar awards along with
him to India. InshaAllah.

Regards.

   hi,

As an ardent Rahman fan and one of the oldest members of this
group, i
  say this rather carefully!

I think for the first time Rahman's tracks for Gajini will be
compared to
the HJ's version for the tamil movie. I think it will be a
healthy debate
considering the fact that hindi Gajni's treatment will be
different to the
tamil and perhaps even the song placements might vary. I think
Aamir Khan
repeating the same director would mean that the movie will be
as good as
the tamil and music may not seem as plantedthis time.

It is good that those who have not heard tamil, will view this
in a
different way. However for those of us who have liked HJ's
version ( you
gotta give it folks..HJ's tracks were really great) it is time
to debate..

  whats your take?

chord and melody hooks. Also love the choir sections. The

[arr] Enough Is Enough (Ghajini)

2008-11-19 Thread light4_u
Plz let me share my feeling with u guys otherwise i'll go mad.

I m frustrated, impatient, sad, angry, disappointed and the wait for
the cd is getting on my nerves. Its almost one month since the trailers
of Ghajini and yet there is no audio release. I m tired of asking for
the audio at music shops. The music shops owners say 'we don't have
Ghajini but we have Rabne Banade Jodi' (Who cares about it).

Rabne banadi Jodi's trailers came after the Ghajini's trailers, but
they released the audio much much before the Ghajini.

This happens always only with us (rahmanics). After listening to the
15 sec songs of Ghajini my curiosity is on rampage because I just fell
in love with it.

After so much frustration I have decided to rebel and now I m not going
to by Ghajini audio. Just kidding :).

other High Quality rips from DVDs that I can't share :(

The fact is... we trust our brothers and sisters on
this
  group here.
We are all here for the same purpose... to share and
  celebrate Rahman.
And it is with this spirit that we share these rare
and generally
unavailable bits and pieces. But once we share
something in the
public space like this group, whatever we share becomes

You can not imagine the pain I felt when I heard my

felt like I had somehow betrayed Rahman... his hard

  That's when

it was right
after RDB bgms.

Anyhow... I would definitely like to point out one
major thing...
namely the difference between a)BGMs and b)Vocals from
DVD

I'm not aware of the copyright laws about the
soundtrack on
  DVDs, but
it would be great if someone(Amith Chandran?) could
shed some
  light on
that. But please notice the difference between the
above
  mentioned
musical bits from DVD:

a)BGM (Background Music) bits:
1. Available commercially: NO.. unless released as a

2008-10-30 Thread light4_u
Though I m a huge fan of ARR I agree with Jahanzeb because its
natural reaction. We (rahmanics) can ignore such discussions, but we
have to face it from others, I have experienced a lot in my
surrounding. Even I have heard from the fans of ARR that todays ARR's
music is far behind from his previous work (which hurts me a lot).

I love all ARR work even 'kabhina kabhi' which many people may not
like. But I face the truth after Dil se and Taal ARR has not given
that kind of mastepiece (whole album). I dont mean the same kind of
music like Roja, Bombay, Dil se, Taal etc. I mean of that standard.
Plz try to understand my point.

Or may be ARR creats that kind of magic in 7-8 years or when ever he
wants. Few songs of our boss in recent time which I like as much as
those masterpieces r kabhi kabhi addity, saathiya, fanaa, oh humdum,
taxi taxi, paathshala, tu binbataye, khalbali and few more.

Love ARR always.

2008-10-28 Thread light4_u
Oh! man Oh! man Oh! man yeppyyy. It seems
like it will be the best movie after Rang De Basanti for our boss and
for the film industry. Aamir looks stunning, mindblowing, fantastic.
And what to say about our boss's music its simply awesome. Sounds
like Sonu Nigam once again.

And I wish form the dept of my heart that Ghajni's music leaves all
the music behing in the world. And it turns out to be much better
than Dil Se's muslic :) . Keep ur fingers crossed guys.

Aamir told long time ago that the movie's title will be changed and
surly it won't be Ghajani, but don't know what happed and they kept
the same name.

[arr] Re: Is Yuvvraaj hard album or my music sense is gone?

2008-10-26 Thread light4_u
Yes it happened with me too. Same thing happend with 'Tu hi meri dost
hai' as urs. I didn't liked a single song instantly, but I knew from
the first hearing that 'Shano shano' is going to rock for me in
future and it did. This is first time I didn't liked the rap of
Blazze, such an idiotic and comman words 'Say Ex, put the D' etc. I m
also disappointed with Gulzar 'Bheje mein bhochal hain' lol..

I m sure this won't happen with Ghajni atall, it will be loved by all
instantly.

Loved the part 'Atke atke Kitne latke Deke bulaye tu Ander ander
beech samunder Dubki khaye tu' and the music part in 'shano shano'
from 5:15 to 5:45. And espicially the sound like Donald Duck at 5:37
and 5:38 lol... I also liked the remix of 'shano shano', Krishna
chetan is talented guy.

I have found a mistake in the lyrics from the small book with the CD,
after 'Atke atke Kitne latke Deke bulaye tu' there is
written 'Bachpan bachpan keha ke pachpan Chand churaye tu' which is
not there in the song.

[arr] Rahmaniac

2008-10-23 Thread light4_u
You know you are a Rahman fan when…

1. You have a peculiar taste in music, which does not
necessarily have to match the taste of the masses.

2. You have a good sense of melody and rhythm and can tell good
music from average. You appreciate good music, regardless of who it
comes from.

3. You can go on for hours talking about Rahman when someone
makes a mistake of asking you about your favorite music.

4. You are never content and are always hungry and thirsty for
more from Rahman.

5. You have had many euphoric moments in your life.. connected
with Rahman's music.

6. You agree that an average Rahman song is better than the best
most of the other can churn out.

7. Regardless of how the World finds Rahman music, you think
Rahman makes music just for your ears. You genuinely believe that
Rahman somehow knows what kind of music you unconsciously crave and
then magically delivers that to you.

8. Your most prized collection in your entire music collection
is your Rahman collection, whether it's in form of cassettes, CD's or
hard-disk space on computer or ipods.

9. You sometimes feel this bliss, a kind of feeling that you are
in heaven, when listening to Rahman's music.

10. If the World was to go back to using the barter system again,
you wouldn't mind trading a 1000 non-Rahman songs for a single Rahman
song.

11. You share this special bond with Rahman which is impossible
to describe in words, let alone explain it to others.

12. Your friends/family fail to understand why you listen to
music in a language that makes no sense to you, whatsoever. But, a
few weeks later, you totally understand why your friends/family are
humming/singing the very song they don't understand and were puzzled
about you listening to it.

13. You are part of the Rahman Yahoo! group and visit it at least
once a day.

14. You take pleasure in new group members arguing with likes of
Gops and Vijay, when they come out with some Rahman info/news.

15. You are tired of new member joining the group and inquiring
about and referring to the fake Ekyam Satyam. You too hope to
listen to the real one someday, if it exists somewhere.
16. You can talk to any other Rahman fan and connect with them
instantly.

17. You have a deep desire to meet Rahman in person, and know
deep in your heart that one day your dream will come true.

18. You have thought of it many a times and tried to come up with
a plan of what you would do? How would you react? when you actually
meet Rahman.

19. You can find the challenging task of solving a complex
problem rather easy compared to the daunting and difficult task of
coming up with your absolute top-10 Rahman favorites.

20. Any criticism of Rahman is hard for you to digest, because
most of the time it comes from people that haven't heard enough of
Rahman and yet have no problem talking about him.

21. Your blood pressure tends to rise when an average listener
sings praises for other MDs(especially Anu Malik, Harris J, and the
more recent and annoying Himesh).

22. When it comes to R.D. Burman or may be Illayaraja, you tend
to put an end to the conversation by saying... No doubt, Illayaraja
is the greatest, but I think Rahman is even better... because it's
true. (Self-fulfilling prophecy?)

23. You are a select few in the country that are familiar with
obscure terms such as BGM or Interlude etc. And furthermore, you
are a rare breed of fans that actually collects and listens to
these BGM and Musical bits used in commercials.

24. You can listen to an hour of non-stop Rahman interludes and
guess over 80% of them right.

25. You eagerly wait for each and every Rahman release, you set
very high expectations for each album, a day after the release you
will bash the album as below-average, a few months later you will
hail the same album as a masterpiece and one of your personal
favorites.

26. You suffer from this rare condition where... you wake up from
your sleep, humming or singing a Rahman tune, involuntarily. You
realize the condition is severe when you randomly shout out a Rahman
tune you haven't heard in a long time.

27. You may forget to take your dose of medication but you can
not forget to get your daily dose of Rahman.

28. You set high expectations of Rahman, and are honored and
touched that he cares about you and works hard to satisfy you.

29. You know and realize that Rahman is potentially the most
creative composer to ever live in India, and may be even the World.

30. You love and respect Rahman, the human being and not just
Rahman, the composer.

Soo... true Kaisisom, its like u read me and my mind and throw it
in words. Thanks for such a good message.

Hi guys,

I would like to share some thing with u guys.

Day before yesterday I went for picnic with my friends from Ahmedabad,
they listen to all kind of music which is nice (not ARR fans). After a
while I played the CD of sakkarakatti, afer listening the song Taxi
Taxi everyone was asking to play it again and again and again with max
vol. Afer listening to it for 7/8 times everyone of us were singing it
together with the song.

It was nice to watch all gujarati boys singing ARR tamil song without
understand a word except english lyrics and swinging to it.

That is the magic of one and only ARR.

[arr] Sultan Of Persia

2008-09-27 Thread light4_u
I just saw the new trailer of 'Sultan The Warrior' at its website. It
seems Rajni's daughter is damn inspired from the game 'Prince Of Persia-
The Two Thrones (3rd part)'. The direction, camera work, fighting
scenes and the biggest inspiration the background, graphics are exect
same.

Infact the music is also lil similar. I m not telling that its copy or
inspired, what I mean is the small part of electronic guitars (just
about 4 seconds) is also lil similar from the second part of the
game 'Prince Of Persia-Warrior Within'. And its only music of our boss
that makes the scene look good.

Are there any songs in the movie ? Or just the BGM and one song
like 'Warriors Of Heaven And Earth'?

A.R.Rahman's music doesn't need any remix except he does himself. His

The original songs of arr r some thing else, remix will destroy its

Khwaja, I have found Muhammed [the chosen one])

Chahne se tujhko khwajaji Mustafa ko paya. It should be 'By loving you
khwajaji, I have found Muhammad peace be upon him (the chosen one).
Because worshipping anybody else except Allah (God) is the biggest sin
according to Islam. No one worships khwajaji, khwaji is the obedient
slave of God.

3.Mere peer ka sadka (The alms of my old age).
Hai mere peer ka sadka (It is the charity of my old age). Tera daaman
hai thama (That I have come in your refuge)

Peer means Prist of Islam. Mere peer ka sadaka tera daman hai thama, so
it can be translated as 'It is the charity of my peer, that I have come
in you refuge'.

4.Jitna bhi rashk kare beshak (No matter how much one may envy(rashk) be
jealous)

5. Rashk means proud (naaz). Jitna bhi rashk kare beshak toh kam hai ae
mere khwaja. Should be 'No matter how much one feel proud its just too
less o khwaja.

Please take it in a right way. I don't wanna hurt u or any one. Just
wanted to correct little mistakes because others who dont know will
consider it as right translation. Other wise ur translation is much
better than I can translate. Its just that I know some of the meaning
of urdu and arabic words.

Kind Regard. Cheers.

[arr] Re: ARR's best non-Hindi albums?

2008-08-29 Thread light4_u
U didn't got my point Sha Navas. Thats what I ment, that though boys is
a tamil or telgu album but I love it. Where did I say that I don't like
boys because its in another language ? If I had say so then u can tell
me 'Forget language. Its Music'. Got it ?

[arr] Re: How I got hooked to Rahman's music.... My Story !

2008-08-29 Thread light4_u
Hello Ramesh babu. Brother,

I m not abele to stop my self to reply u after reading ur message.
There is nothing wrong if any Muslim feels proud for any other Muslim
brother, if he is doing well and making his people and country proud.

And the biggest thing we love about ARR is that he is a very good
practicing Muslim, though he is so busy man but he has time for his
Lord. Not all the Muslims r like him. I just love our Boss, not only
because I m a muslim and he is a muslim, but also because he is the
best and his music is out of this world.

There r also other Muslim music directors like salim-suleman,
Nadeem from nadeem-shravan duo, naushad, ismael darbar etc. Do we talk
about them or do we praise them ? No because we don't love them and we
r not here to talk about them.

So please brother if any one is proud of ARR for any reason (there
r so many) and expressing his feeling don't stop him.

 No offence ment.

[arr] Ashutosh Gowarekar's next project

2008-08-23 Thread light4_u
Hi ! guys. I don't know if this information has been shared here or
not. In recent news paper named Divya Bhaskar this news was published.

After the grand success of JodhaAkbar director Ashutosh Gowarekar has
planed to direct one more period film. He informed us regarding this
that Yes I m planing to make a period film, but after completing the
movie named 'Whats ur rashi'. Recently, Ashutosh is working on a
movie 'Whats ur rashi' which is based on the novel 'Kimbell Rewanswood'
of the wrighter Indian, Gujarati based setteled in America named Madhu
Rai.. Staring Harman Baweja and Prianka Chopra, this movie is going to
be a comedy.

So by this information we came to know about two more movies of our
Boss. I don't remember any comedy movie (hindi) in which our Boss has
given his magic. And again a period movie after that. Some time ago our
Boss has decided not to do any more period films and then changed his
mind. I think his first decision not to do any more period film was
absolutely correct. In my openion.

Thanks Vithur. But I wasn't talking about Yuvraj, I was talking about
the other international project which she talked about which she said
after yuvraj.

[arr] Re: ARR's best non-Hindi albums?

2008-08-20 Thread light4_u
U must be kinning me buddy, boys ! let down ? I think it is the
best non hindi album of our boss after bombay and humse hai muqabla. I
can understand nothing as i dont know tamil or telgu, but the 'girl
friend' song and 'dathing' song r my most favourites of our boss's.

[arr] Alka Yagnik singing for Rahmans Yuvraaj

2008-08-20 Thread light4_u
Hey guys do anybody know about this project alka yagnik is talking
about I am now singing for Katrina Kaif in
his Yuvraaj and for an international project that he (boss) is doing ?

And m so excite to hear that Sukhwinder now has two full fledged
major Hollywood projects to his name the first being Danny Boyle's
*Slumdog Millionaire* starring Anil Kapoor and Irfan Khan with music by
AR Rahman and lyrics by Gulzar.

Is this the same project alka yagnik is talking about ?

May be vithur can throw some light on this.

[arr] Arr vs pritam

2008-07-24 Thread light4_u

Yeah man even I was thinking about it. Before we had ARR vs jatin
lalit, nadeem shravan, anu malik etc. and now we have ARR vs pritam,
vishal shekhar, shanka ehsaan loy. Arr has overcome before. I m sure he
will overcome now also inshaAllah.

No doubt that arr is having real competition in bollywood these
days. Though pritam is biggest copy cat at this time, but his sound is
very good and he makes copied one better than original. There r very
few composition of his own and they r really well. I loved the
song 'zarase dilme de jagah' and 'sing is king'.

I m waiting for Mithoon's next movie the md of 'the train'
and 'anwar' he is also fabulous.

Hey guys let me tell u I m only and only ARR fan, I can not even
think of someone else taking place of ARR in my heart. I m just being
honest.

A.r.Rahman is back with his hit score in rangde basanti. I love
the song khalbali. This song is really extraordinary, the music is too
heavy.
I would love to see our boss performing in a video in his upcoming
album. I know he is too shy, religious and he does not like to come on
camera, but still as a fan of Rahman I request Rahman sir to give us an
album like vande matram and to make more videos from it and perform
yourself in it.
