We should not give much importance to Amruta's comments. Those comments are out of her ignorance about the Academy and its categories. This ignorance was found all over the India..so leave it. I feel that our personalities from films should have good knowledge of what happens in International film academies and how they work. Here 'bollywood' gyus and gals just attend film premiers/parties and awards to show off. I remember once Kareena kapoor called Sonia Gandhi 'first lady of India'..i was completely ROFL!! I love the Jai Ho song, but when you are switching to other ARR's songs (on mp3 player) you find something missing in Jai Ho!! Yes, Rahman took only 1/5th of his standard time (as he mentioned) to compose SDM, so we miss his fine nuances arrangements, polished vocals that Rehmanish mood... I am really tired at seeking our Bollywood artists' intelligence. I agree that AR's other music deserves Oscar but would somebody please please shout at them that those movies did not stand till the last level and that Music for international movies isn't a category. And though Lagaan went till the last mile music wouldnt have got the music bcs there is no category.
