It looks like we have a backlog of records in the SLM:EventSchedule form which
are not all being progressed by SLM:EventSchedule:TAD_PollingEscalation
correctly

Some of these are just backed up from today but there are a few hundred which
have SLA_Time Scheduled dates in the past (up to a year old) so the debate is
now is it is better to delete these records or to process them by setting the
SLA_Rule Event Occurred to Yes.

SLM Status no longer populates

2013-04-22 Thread SUBSCRIBE ARSLIST theReel
Hi Guys,

From mid afternoon on our Remedy ITSM 7.6.04 Sp2 environment users started to
notice that the search screens were not as colourful, all the calls were grey
instead of the usual green/red colour and the SLM real time Status field was
blank.

We had a look and can see that the SVTs are attaching as normal, and the date
is even being populated into the z1d_SLMDate field on the left of the help desk
screen.

So it would appear as if there is nothing wrong with the SVT's attaching, there
where no changes made to the system recently so I am at a loss as to why all of
a sudden the SLM Status field would stop being completed.

I have looked in the normal log files and tried user AL and filter logs but
dont see any obivious errors (i will have to go through in more detail and
compare to a working system), I have even restarted the services as I happened
to have an outage window. But no luck.

Has anyone came accross this before or can point me in any sort of direction.

Any advice welcome
Thanks
Tony

I guess from the respose, this is something unusual and maybe if I restart
the server or something, it will start to work.

Maybe it's related to "Access Restrictions" on People form?
What you see depends on what you insert into CMDBRowLevel (usually some
Company, maybe field is empty?).
So, if your profile has set Unrestricted Asset then you can see CIs (even
if CMDBRowLevel is empty).
If your profile has access to some particular Company and it's not the one
in a CMDBRowLevel field, then ...you don't see the CI.

Re: Allowing Status Change By Group Membership

2013-04-22 Thread Longwing, Lj
Ok...I just did a quick test on the Group form showing members of the
Administrator group

SELECT T102.C1,C101,C8,C109,C103,C108,C7 FROM T102 WITH (NOLOCK) WHERE
((T102.C104 LIKE '1;%' ) OR (T102.C104 LIKE '%;1;%') OR
(T102.C119 LIKE '1;%' ) OR (T102.C119 LIKE '%;1;%'))
ORDER BY 1 ASC

C104 LIKE '1;%' will give you the records where Administrator is the first
group
C104 LIKE '%;1;%' gives you where administrator is somewhere in the middle

then repeated for field 119 which I believe is the computed group
listso, you are correct...BMC always puts a ; after, so only the
'starting with' and the 'somewhere in the middle' are needed, even if it's
at the end.

Rick,

Yes, $GROUPS$ is messy, which is why they added the $GROUPIDS$ keyword, and to
avoid the exact issue you are discussing, the keyword for group ids always has
a semicolon at the beginning and end of the string, so you don't need to do
what you describe.

Oh...and you are forgetting the groups being at the END of the string...so when
using it you need to not only do '1234;%', '%;1234;%', but also '%;1234'...very
ugly :)

Yolanda,

First I would suggest you utilize the group id keyword instead of the groups
keyword, only from the perspective that group names can 'overlap'...meaning you
can have an 'Admin' and 'Contact Admin', and if you do groups like admin...both
would matchbut not if you utilize the group id keyword properly...and I
assume you want to throw an error when someone other than the groups try...so
you would want to try something like this

('Status' = "Scheduled" OR 'Status' = "Cancelled" OR ('Status = "Denied" AND
'Organization' = "EAST)) AND NOT ($GROUPIDS$ LIKE "%;12345;% OR $GROUPIDS$
LIKE "%;23456;%"

please note the ; on both sides of the group ID. This helps ensure that the
group id is fully encased, and not part of another group number.

Thank you all for your input.

This is the exact AL qualification that is being used:

($GROUPIDS$ LIKE "%;10200;%") OR ($GROUPIDS$ LIKE "%;10100;%") OR
(($GROUPIDS$ LIKE "%;10400;%") AND ('Status' = "Scheduled")) OR
('Status' = "Cancelled") OR (('Status' = "Denied") AND ('Organization' =

However regardless of the individuals group or organization the error
message is being fired (even when it shouldn't)

Curtis,
I don't like using that particular run-process, because in situations like
this you need to filters to do a single job, and a temp field for EACH
group you want to check...the run-if that I outlined before will work
reliably (as long as you use it properly) with a single piece of workflow,
and doesn't require multiple run-process commands :)

Re: Allowing Status Change By Group Membership

2013-04-22 Thread Longwing, Lj
Rick,
Yes, $GROUPS$ is messy, which is why they added the $GROUPIDS$ keyword, and
to avoid the exact issue you are discussing, the keyword for group ids
always has a semicolon at the beginning and end of the string, so you don't
need to do what you describe.

Oh...and you are forgetting the groups being at the END of the string...so
when using it you need to not only do '1234;%', '%;1234;%', but also
'%;1234'...very ugly :)

Re: Allowing Status Change By Group Membership

2013-04-22 Thread Curtis Gallant
Hi Yolanda,

Using $GROUPS$ or $GROUPID$ to query for membership is always a bit messy
and error prone. There is a run process purpose built for this type of
activity, you just need to do a 2 step process instead of trying to do it
all in your Run If qual.

You set a field with this run process with the appropriate groupID
specified and then if the contents of the field you set is a 1 then qualify
your workflow on that, if it's a 0, they are not part of the group. If you
want to check multiple groups usually you would have multiple hidden fields
that can be leveraged and all checked in your target workflow, BMC does
this in many areas of ITSM already to confirm the user is part of specific
groups to qualify workflow from.

Application-Confirm-Group groupID
Verifies that the current user is a member of the specified group. Returns
one of the following integers:

- *1*-The user is a member of the group.
- *0*-The user is *not* a member of the group, or the specified group
ID does not correspond to a valid group

Hi Gordon,

This can also happen when the CMDB library is not loaded by the AR server.
Any errors/messages in the cmdbengdebug or arerror log?

Can you check if "Load-Shared-Library-Path" points to the right location in
AR.CFG - as for example \AtriumCore\cmdb\server64\bin; and
Load-Shared-Library to cmdbsvr7604_win64.dll for 7.6.04 windows for example?

Does the system just read the Group List field of the User record when
resolving the operation? If so then wouldn't you also need to use LIKE
"12345%" since the first group wouldn't have the leading semi-colon? I was
using this extra clause when checking to see if group ID 1 was in the Group
List (field ID 104) of a supporting form (which is fed from the User form).
In my case I'm using 'Group List' LIKE "1;%" OR 'Group List' LIKE "%;1;%" to
check for the Admin group being the first or later in the field.

Re: Incident Target date

2013-04-22 Thread Kevin Shaffer
In application administration console you can configure goal types on the
custom configuration tab. One of the options to select when configuring a goal
type is incident estimated resolution tracking. Select that option and the
target date will auto populate. It doesn't happen right away. There is an
escalation that fires like every 5 mins to set the target date.

Hi All,

In the Incident (HPD:HelpDesk) form what is the Target date field used to
capture and display. OTB this is a column in the Incident Console. Thought
maybe this was the next SLA target date. I have response and resolution SLA’s
set up but
this field is always blank. If this is how it is intended, maybe there is some
workflow that needs to be turned on either in the HPD:Help Desk or SLA
Measurement form. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

So this is just a standalone field that could be used to manually include a
target date?

Hi,
It is used to record the Target Resolution date for the Incident - not related

Re: Remedy WebService in VB.Net 2012

2013-04-22 Thread Abhijit Hendre
Hi,
the way chrome soap plugin forms soap request is different than that of vb.
Net

please compare soap request formed by soap plugin & Vb. Net application
using arjavaplugin logs ( Debug mode) and you shall be able to find the
difference.

Also check output generated in both cases. If that is same then problem is
not at remedy side. You may need to check third party application logs.

Thanks,

By looking at below code it looks like you are consuming Web Service having
Service as its operation type which is retrieving All Incident Numbers having
Michael as First Name in it.

Make sure in AR Web Service, the Service input variable mapping is validated in
Web Service Run If Qualification so that it would retrieve only required number
of records. Make sure On Service Filters are running on it properly to output
the matched records.

Hi,

I never managed to get any values back from this call in VB.Net either,
ended up just using a simple query.

Others on the BMC Developer forums have had similar issues.

Subject: Remedy WebService in VB.Net 2012

**

Hello World!

I hope you are all having a good day/night

I'm having an issue consuming a Webservice from Remedy using VB.Net and I
was hoping someone could help me out.

I created a web service called HPD_IncidentInterface_WS in Visual Studio and
this is my code

Private Sub Button1_Click(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles
Button1.Click

Dim AuthenticationInfo_Query As New
HPD_IncidentInterface_WS.AuthenticationInfo

AuthenticationInfo_Query.userName = "Username"

AuthenticationInfo_Query.password = "Password"

Dim GetIncidentInfo As New
HPD_IncidentInterface_WS.HPD_IncidentInterface_WSService

GetIncidentInfo.AuthenticationInfoValue = AuthenticationInfo_Query

Dim strSQL = "'First Name' = " + """Michael"""

Dim y() As HPD_IncidentInterface_WS.GetListOutputMapGetListValues =
GetIncidentInfo.HelpDesk_QueryList_Service(strSQL, "1", "1")

MsgBox(y(0).Incident_Number)

End Sub

The Y variable remains empty and I get no records back.

But I can tell it to return 100 records, and as expected it takes much
longer. So I think it is pulling the information and putting it somewhere,
but I don't know where.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Michael Benz
