Re: putting a trim box below other fields
Hi Mike, In the Admin tool - near the top of the window in the row of icons there are "Bring to Front" and "Send to Back" buttons that will change to green when that button is a choice for the trim box selected. How do I change this please? I can't see anything in the filed or form properties to set stacking order. Re: Email Template Parsing
Hi Frank, Also check on the AR System Email Messages form - click the "Display Advanced Options" to Yes and then look on the "Message Information" tab for the Parse Message value. Re: $PROCESS$ Application-Bus-Time-Diff and ARERR 4568
Hi Dwayne, The way that that I've understood it: double quotes are required for a run process variable if the 'contents' of the variable could have a space in the value. such as "Shift Manager". Re: Time Scheduling
Hi Frank, I had a similar issue once and created fields for 'Shift', with values like 'Shift 1', 'Shift 2'etc. (including weekends) on the User form (or you could use a work schedule form) and had workflow to check which Shift range the timestamp fell into and then looked up active users (Assignees) on that shift. The WEEKDAY function is helpful in determining the day of the week. Hope this helps, Sylvia Holy -Original Message- From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Frank Caruso Sent: Wednesday, January 03, 2007 12:59 PM To: arslist@ARSLIST.ORG Subject: Time Scheduling Task: Build a form (or forms) to hold a list of users and the hours they start and end their work day (24 hour clock): ie 08:00-17:00 or 22:00-0600. Do not want to store times for each day of the week. For each ticket submitted search the list of users and find one that is available at the time the ticket is being created. This means matching the current time between the start and end times for each user. Logically this sounded simple enough but the problem I'm having is when a ticket is submitted at say 3am. I have qualitication that is checking to see if the current time is between the start and end time for a user. So, if it is 16:00 and the user works 08:00 to 17:00 they are included. However, if is 02:00 and the users schedule spans two days, 22:00 one day till 06:00 the next, the qualification fails. I feel there is a simple solution to this issue but cannot sem to come up with it. I though of just creating mutiple entries for certain users whose schedule spans two days, one for 22:00 to 23:59 and one for 00:00 - 06:00, but was hoping someone had another thought. Hi Igor, Check that his email address is populated on the User form. If the filter notification mechanism is User Default or Cross Reference, then it gets the value from the User form. His loginID (from SUBMITTER field) not being translated to his email address form his Profile, it's just his loginID. About 10 people get notified by the same filter from AST form. Re: CMDB-Asset forms- Status Changes
Hi Claire, It's best to use the Class Manager Console that comes with CMDB (see page 33 of the "BMC(r) Atrium CMDB 1.1 Installation and Configuration Guide"). When the Atrium CMDB is installed with Remedy you can access the console from the Remedy User tool, but be very careful. Try not to make any changes during peak hours because the Class Manager uses a lot of resources. The CMDB 'spreads' the fields across several forms for the different classes of data with the main 'core' fields in the BMC_AssetBase form and then class specific fields are in other forms that are presented together in join forms (sometimes a couple layers of them). So it makes it more complicated to deal with fields and I think that is why they created the Class Manager Console. I hope this helps, Sylvia Holy -Original Message- From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Sanford, Claire Sent: Tuesday, November 28, 2006 11:37 AM To: arslist@ARSLIST.ORG Subject: CMDB-Asset forms- Status Changes I'm completely stumped. I have already RTFMs 2 times and still don't get it. How do I and where do I go to change the list in the Status field on the forms listed below: BMC:BMC_ComputerSystem_ BMC:BMC_ComputerSystem AST:ComputerSystem I am not changing the number of items in the dropdown menu, just the wording in some of them. I just need to change "Ordered" to "Shipped to Facility" I made the change through the admin tool on the AST:ComputerSystem form, but it does not show. Maybe if I had gone to a class or BUG, I wouldn't be so freaking confused... But, hey it wasn't in the budget! Grumble! I'm paying for living the easy life with 4.5.2 for so long!
