Issue after Refresh Interval update

Hi!



Someone has seen this behaviour?



1) set some search criteria directly in Incident's form like
status=Assigned to Any Group, perform search.

2) Set refresh interval to 1 minute

3) Wait for refresh, if the selected incident moves to other status where
not meet the search criteria the Incident Details go blank, the Result list
may contain or not info.
4) Select any other Incident from Result List Panel, not the very first
record and Remedy apparently shows in Result List the record but in the
Incident Detail the info is from First Record in the result list.

asset2CMDB

Hi, I know exists cmdb2asset tools, but there is an inverse one?



Here is the issue, I hope anyone can give me any idea or suggestion.



The BMC.CORE:BMC_ComputerSystem and BMC.CORE:BMC_ComputerSystem_ forms
do not exists in the server, I trying to discovery how that happens,
but also I need to restore them.



The Asset AST:ComputerSystem form and the T tables for that forms
exists, in Developer Studio the two forms appears but when I try to
open them I got:



Unable to retrieve the object from the AR System server.

com.bmc.arsys.studio.model.ModelException: ERROR (303): Form does not

exists on server; BMC.CORE:BMC_ComputerSystem (ARERR 5086)



I have another environment and from there I tried three different ways
to resolved. I know those are not option to migrate CMDB, but I
thinking to recreate the missings forms.



1) cmdbdriver

2) exp/imp .def

3) Remedy migrator



each case give me differents errors and is not successful



1) The cmd line dont ends, in the sql logs I saw: The form definition
file field count does not match number of fields in the file (ARERR
403) I had to stop the AR Server service to release the operation.



2) I tried with and without the Overwrite option, in both cases I got:
ARERR 382, taking a OTTB .def and also with my test env .def


The value(s) for this entry violate a unique index that has been
defined for this form.



3) The migrator process seem to end fine, but nothing changes.



Do you have any idea?

Release Management Approval's Notifications..

Hi, somebody is using Approvals for Release? Do you get the email
notifications.?

I had check all what BMC's Knowledge article KA316048 suggest, all is
active all is there, the only miss I see is that the tag for the
notification message that is in AP:Notification form named:
RMS-APR-ApprovalNTForIndividual do not exits in SY: Notification
messages, but in example the one for Changes
CHG-APR-ApprovalNTForIndividual does.

I review three differents env and all has the same, so do you have it?

Hi everybody.

Does anyone tried to chance the Web applications list's values?
I found in version 7.6.04 the traditional Entry Points dont match
with the names in the applications list, and there are also the New
and Search values.

How to change it? Does it take the values from SHARE:Application... or
from where??
If the values comes from SHARE:Application form, can be modified?

Safeguard mismatch ars7.5

Hi, I hope someone can help about this issue.

You know the history, nobody make documentation, nobody make backups,
and when people gone all problems appear.  I arrive and first thing to
document and keep Remedy working. We have three tiers app/db/web.

But that doesn’t end there; we need to reboot the app server and it
doesn’t start up again for a HW/OS reason and was reinstalled. Who
knows when was last reboot or services restart.

I reinstall ARS in the app using the same DB (nothing change in DB
server) and selecting “Share” options to avoid make any changes to it.
But the installer ends without starting the engine. So I found in
arerror.log  the next:

390600 : Safeguard mismatch - potentially corrupted form (ARERR 8841)
For at least 500 forms

I think some Unicode issue, so I change the ar.cfg and it goes worst:
thousands of other typ of errors.
I also try reinstall with upgrade option, nothing change and with
overwrite option and after uploads a backup of DB; don’t work.

I read some old post about the checksum in metadata and a tool to fix
it. Someone can share it?

How do you do to fix the error with Product Catalog part?
I face a similar issue, then I open a ticket with BMC Support.

The solution was run the CMDB installer in pause mode and modifying
some scripts to increase time waiting when running cmdbdriver...

CMDB 7.5 and ITSM 7.6?

Hi, we are planning to upgrade from ARS 7.0.x and CMDB 2.0.1 to 7.5 versions.

Now I found is available ITSM 7.6.
I also have SIM/BEM solution and I read the current version (7.3) only
works with CMDB 7.5.



The question is Can I have CMDB 7.5 with ITSm 7.6 or is needed to upgrade both.

There was an error trying to initialize the HPI library.
Please check your installation, HotSpot does not work correctly
when installed in the JDK 1.2 Solaris Production Release, or
with any JDK 1.1.x release.


Java 1.5. on Solaris 10
This error appear just after install Webservices, with Email Engine it not
show.

No sending emails after power off

Hi, I have a problem with email engine. All seem its ok, I don't get any
error with -Debug, at Email Error form and log, I also tried arsql y arapi
logs
The email message just keeps in YES status.

I already reinstall the ARS and the email engine and check connectivity with
the email server and port.
There are not firewall rules. I reinstalled the java, too.

The production Servers works fine until a problem with site's air
conditioning system that turn off the servers. After that the emails doesn't
go out.

The worst part is that we have a Failover Server where the email engine have
the same behavior.

Could you please give me another clue where to look up?
