Remedy Client Bandwidth Requirements

2009-08-14 Thread Ramy S. Ayoub
HI list**

Kindly we are working in a project that is using Remedy application, where
the Remedy client users (60 concurrent users) are located in Egypt and the
Remedy server is located Germany. Client access is going to be through VPN
client over the ON network.

Kindly advise with the required network bandwidth to be available for the
remedy client in order to access the remedy server with no issue to in the
network bandwidth.

use the below question in case of Senior Level ... this from my point of
view

1) ARSchema

2) With transaction(t) table and table schema id in associated in
arschema table

3) Web Services , Remedy API, Email templates, Direct SQL, creating
view and database trigger and database programming….. depending on what
suites to client and third party application

4) Creating failure over environments, database back – replication on
vmware etc,

5) Big to answer I will update you on this next time, - user interface
,end user component – directly reachable to customers

6) Filter is server side component , depending on fire condition and
qualification action will be perform on server. Actions are listed in if
actions tab, submit, modify any valid ar server operation. Permission is not
issue on filter etc.

7) I don't things so, not possible.

8) Not understanding question – reason I not aware of walking tables

1. What is the primary table in the AR System data dictionary?

2. How does the AR System manage the data you see in Remedy Forms?

3. Without using DSO or EIE, what are your thoughts for providing a
'STANDARDIZED' methodology for interfacing/integrating with Remedy
applications. This customer was actually looking to use C.I.M. or some
other open standard solution to interface with Remedy maybe a good
discussion for the list!!!

4. How do you trouble shoot AR System server outages to restore access to
the system?

5. How does mid-tier work and where does it fit in the client server
architecture?

6. Describe how filters work? They were actually looking how filters work
in different phases... which led to the next question.

7. Can you force a filter to fire all actions in the first phase?

8. List all of the possible uses for guides. They were looking for walking
tables.

2009-02-04 Thread Ramy S. Ayoub

we script the database to be uni-code then covert the data and we remove
the old database then we install new ARserver then we restore the database
and we did that as we re-install the SQL also so in ar.cfg the UTF-16 not
supporting but UTF-8 is working fine and the uni-code function are working
fine , there is any impact on the if we run the system under UTF-8.

Re: Segregating HR & IS/IT data

2010-04-12 Thread Ramy S. Ayoub
**
what you need only to do , create new company with name of Employee for
example and you will configure all the People to have access to this Company
, So another Company IT Support and Another one HR Support

For example you need to give all the organization ( Employee Company) in CTM
People Access Restrictions Table

For the IT Support they should have ( Employee Company and IT Support ) in
CTM People Access Restrictions Table

For the HR Support they should have ( Employee Company and HR Support ) in
CTM People Access Restrictions Table

also you will build the Support Groups under this Companies base on the
role.

Issue has been resolved by copying the files (,iss and .exe) in Temp folder
and run command line for installation , it seems that the Microsoft SMS
doesn't support such installation.

SLAs are attached to the TTs without applying the milestones or calculating the due target date

2010-12-11 Thread Ramy S. Ayoub
**

The SLAs are attached to the TTs without applying the milestones or
calculating the due target date.

The previous steps faced me in the below sequence:

1. The 24x7 business segments SLAs was accurate and work well while the
8x5 business segments SLAs was wrong calculated. There was always difference
two hours.

2. The 24x7 business segments SLAs still accurate while the 8x5 business
segments SLAs began to be calculated as 24x7 behavior. It seems that it
doesn’t feel with the 8x5 segments.

3. The SLAs for all segments are attached, with no calculations,
milestones or target dates.
