Re: AIE problem on new server
Hmmm. I don't know how well installing p1 over p2 would work. It definitely doesn't sound safe. However I wouldn't be surprised if just replacing a p2 aie.exe with a p1 aie.exe (maybe this is what you were referring to, not a full install) corrects the issues we had with p2. Problem is are there other more important things that p2 aie.exe fixed? I think it is safe to install p2 and then put in a ticket for an aie.exe build that fixes these issues before you try using AIE (if you plan on using these features). If the installer won't work, it doesn't matter much if they supposedly fixed lots of useful things. Customize the view from within your user tool and unhide all the fields. I actually unhide by customizing the form but the Customize View function should work just as well. You wil need to do the same thing with EIE:Exchange too. Re: AIE problem on new server
The easier way is to export the entries to an ARX file update the server name. Delete the entries you just exported, import the entries you just modified. This will update the information without having to modify the form. -Original Message- From: Tommy Morris tommy.mor...@radioshack.com To: arslist arslist@ARSLIST.ORG Sent: Tue, Jan 18, 2011 2:11 pm Subject: Re: AIE problem on new server ** Customize the view from within your user tool and unhide all the fields. Re: AIE problem on new server
Not that I am aware of. You can also either unhide the fields (we copied to a new Administrator view and unhid the fields) or export an arx/xml file, find and replace, and import. I wouldn't be surprised if there is an aiexfer command to update it but I haven't checked. In the past I had a back up of the EIE:BackupLoadFlag data to import and restore records for the AIE instances on that server. You also might be able to delete all of the EIE:BackupLoadFlag records and just create new AIE instances. I am not sure how well this works if there is not at least a primary instance though, I have always had at least one good one. Re: AIE problem on new server
You may want to make sure that is the extent of the issue...when I install 7.6 p2 Atrium, my AIE install put the files on the server, but didn't put anything in the DB. I have a ticket open with BMC.
