Look up what constitutes 'contempt' under the NJ legal standards.
Nothing i did or didn't do falls under that charge. Even if it was
alleged, I was entitled to a 5 day stay of sentence and hearing on
the matter. I was taken to jail immediately, my rights were violated.

The 'big issue' that started all this 2 years ago, no deck on my porch,
was addressed by volunteers while I was in jail.

The 19 new summonses include items that have never been an issue
before such as leaves in the yard (who doesn't have leaves in their yard).
I'm charged with having high grass, grass that is not even on my
property. A crack in a stoop that has been there for over 30 years
is described as 'collapsing building etc.

I was told to sell in order to fund hiring a lawyer to defend myself.
So this is how the system works? Prosecute until ones financial ability
to defend is wiped out and then tell them to sell their home?

Corzine to NJ mayors: Expect less from state
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS • January 14, 2009
* TRENTON — Gov. Jon S. Corzine says the amount of aid the state
funnels to towns and schools will almost certainly shrink in the next budgetary
year.
Corzine told a group of mayors today that he'll be hard-pressed to sustain aid
to municipalities, schools, and perhaps hospitals and higher education for the
fiscal year that starts July 1.

The governor says he won't know how much less aid there will be for towns until
the state gets a better idea of how much tax revenue it's lost because of the
recession.

Corzine is urging the Legislature to approve his proposal allowing towns to
defer this year's contribution to the state worker pension fund, which would
save them $540 million.

The move is meant to stave off huge property tax increases.

The proposal was pulled from the Senate agenda last month after it became clear
it didn't have enough votes to pass. But the Senate's expected to take it up
again before the Assembly considers the bill.

Sharon,

I know Anthony very well and he would never make an issue out of
nothing. Appears that since he hasn't put anything out here, you
slandered him first.

Food for thought.

Hope all works out, so both of you are happy.

2009-01-14 Thread sharon_b283
It happens because of politics, the publics perception of Asbury, that
it's somehow okay to dump on us! Don't want to call any names but
certain contractors get ALL of the demolition work around here,
something I've noticed over the decades! Probably no-bid contracts.
I heard testimony at a few zoning board meetings about illegal dumping
where the riots took place on many of those vacant lots. Tales of
stoves, refrigerators, etc. dumped, then filled in to make the lots
look level! No names were provided as to who did the dumping, but I
think the posters here, know exactly who it is!

Is there any possibility that burying a dumpster at the site was
somehow approved?
The 2 gentlemen that alerted it to me this morning are completely
credible. They live right
next door in the tower, and both said they saw it happen. I was
wondering the same thing
when i saw that the dumpster was missing.
If this was something illegal, how could it happen without being
noticed by anybody from the
 city?

 Hmm,

I had to give this a few moments of thought, but I may be on to
 something.

That red dumpster has annoyed me too and I don't even live in the
city. Thinking back to my frustration, I believe that I had wondered
how and why someone would allow a dumpster to sit there for so long.
Dumpsters are rented and the longer that they sit there, the more they
cost. I recall wondering why Christiello - or whomever was paying for
that big red eyesore had not had it removed.

I don't know who's dumpster it is/was, but it was clearly not a DeLisa
dumpster. Knowing (and assuming) that Christiello is from Morristown,
the Carter might not have been local.

So, let's suppose that the business of being Mayor of Morristown
distracts a person enough to have forgotten that there was a red
dumpster working up a large rental bill in Asbury Park.

The bill goes to collections and a phone call is placed.

The Billee calls one of thier friends and ask then to make the
dumpster disappear so that the billee can report to the Carter that
they have no idea where it went, Gee, I thought you took it away.

Dumpster gets buried, proof is on the Carter, billee is laughing
privately. Hinge's friend foil the plot.

I looked through that dumpster. I am sure that there *could* be toxins
in there, but it appeared to be just junk.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

[AsburyPark] Important, Mounted Police - Please Read....

2009-01-14 Thread dapawprint
Hi all,

I have been so busy and I may be mistaken, however, there was an
article in the Asbury Press either today or yesterday. The article
spoke about how the City did not have enough money to sustain the AP
mounted police. The article spoke about a non-profit being formed.
I viewed this article online.

I am not talking about the article online right now which discusses
the donations which have saved the mounted police.

The initial article which I am asking about is no longer available
online.

Can anyone tell me when that first article was in the Press? Was it
today or yesterday?

I have an important reason for wanting to know and it has nothing to
do with the mounted police.

Thanks,

Glenn

Sorry everyone,

Nevermind... the article I referred to was in the early edition
today. I was asking as an online poster commented that maybe the
mounted police might catch the bank robbers. I found the comment odd
as I had not heard of any robberies. When I read about the PNC Bank
robbery tonight, I recalled having read the article - but I could not
recall if I had read the comment today or yesterday. I thought that
someone had commented yesterday about a bank robbery that happened
today. Wrong. I try.

I may visit AP this weekend, I'll let you know,

Glenn
