[AsburyPark] Re: Check out Madison Marquette: Without parking lots,

2013-03-27 Thread dfsavgny
MM wants to control forever lots they dont own and which are only interim uses
under the plan. they also didnt want to share revenues and I could never see
how we could allow paid lot compete with our meters, especially during the week
in the summer when its cheaper than the streets.

MM has turned down offers for the Sunset Pavilion and the old Hot Sand space
because they didnt want to do the bandshell.

if you read this article, mottola (who is certifiable) throws everything but
the kitchen sink as to WHY. Even Bamboozle, which is not even being held
anywhere. And if that was any test of how this City could handle a large event,
we passed.

Mottola is out of his mind.

I said this last week.they COULD make money from CH and the Theater if
they booked the right acts. Booking these Has-beens and never-were's wont
do it. I have never seen a bigger waste of venue before.

I know of 4 comparible venues in NJ that sell out 3-4 nights a week with
relevant acts.

This is a disaster.

You could make money in CH as a wedding hall if you wanted to. It would be
booked year round

I advise everyone to not take part in this...This is a sensitive issue and it

[AsburyPark] Re: Check out Madison Marquette: Without parking lots,

2013-03-27 Thread oakdorf
I should say that was from a FB post by Debbie Delisa - i copied the first part
of her post. Granted when they took the WB - it was a boarded up grey
shell.

And MM did come in and clean up Fishman's mess - but then they signed up to do
business with the City. MM also managed to finish up Wesley Grove... and the
paramount and and and...

$20 on the weekend and special events...

the pony is more profitable to hold events outdoors...
