Hi,@ner thanks for all of that. I noticed I do get 500 minutes per day . I'm not sure on how to withdraw from the bank, all I can do is exchange credits for minutes. I had like 10m when I started to I exchanged all of them and I have 600 minutes banked but I'm not sure on how to withdraw them, there doesn't seem to even be a menu there. By th way, I noticed I only have 50 logons per day. I normally keep logging on and off, and although I don't think I'll ever use up 50, I do think some of these limits, like the time, the logons and all those should be removed. If this'll all be free we shouldn't have limitted minutes. OK, maybe this is still active because you made it that way because of server costs or something, but if you didn't, it really makes no sense to keep it there. Probably since people used dial-up connections for this i
 t was hard as hell to keep the server active and all of this was made, but now, with high-speed broadband connections and such it really doesn't make sense to keep that active unless it's still there for a reason nowadays. It makes me feel limited to have X minutes to play games, chat and have fun, even though I have 5 hours it still makes me feel weird. @guilevi when I exchanged credits for minutes in the bank I seemed to just get a time boost anyway, I was down to about 200 minutes but when I exchanged credits it went up to 500 again. I'm guessing that 500 is the max amount of time that displays on the board, but if you finish that, you move on to your bank time, that would make sense, though practically since 500   minutes is close to  8 hours, so long as you bank credits occasionally your not likely to run out any time soon. What I am wondering with usurper is if there is a way to change race and class. When i began I assumed it had a similar  remort option to legend of the  green dragon (or red come to that), ie, once you've finished as one race/class combo you can restart as another, though 90 levels is a bit more than logd/lord's 15 so will take much more time.Or is it that you need to have children and then play as one of them?I also  suspect th

There was me thinking all of these bbs games were old wrellicks from way back when, when they're actually still very much in  development, that is cool and presents another interesting possibility for running dos titles.Actually since the developer of usurper  according to http://www.usurper.info/ has done some pretty extensive server work for running games on a  bbs, it might be worth asking him  if he  has any thoughts for how to run dos games or Eamon deluxe without risking  other users monkeying with people's characters. But only slightly.I think it could be done with emulators, but it'd be more work than it looks like. Also, most ROM hackers learn by messing with values and running the emulator to see what happens, so it's hard for a blind coder to figure out exactly how things like level layout are coded, even with the guides that are out there (also, a lot of sighted hackers really just use things like level editors).Also, there are no standards for old console games; it's all very low-level, with no API calls that accessibility software can intercept. It just goes straight to hardware. You'd basically need accessibility scripts for each individual game.So, keeping that in mind, consider things like This crappy Streets of Rage 2 accessibility program that I made three years ago.Basically, you'd need an emulator specifically designed to support accessibility to begin to make old games accessible. At best, it might be able to identify when plaintext is being displayed and send it to SAPI or a screen reader for a decent chunk of games (but since text is really just images, not even all games will encode it that way.).I'm imagining something with more of a scripting language of sorts, where a rom hacker familiar with specific games would need to code something for specific games. You can't really do like Game Cheater and hunt down data structures or variables; nothing tells you how memory is being used, so finding a value at memory address 0x200A12E doesn't tell you what that value means.I did ask about a few more specific things at a forum that does a lot on hardware, specifically regarding the presence (or lack there of) of standards fo

I don't remember the response exactly, but it was not the ideal version (which would be a system with a sprite display engine where you could intercept size and position of images).I've also tried Screwing with sprite layers and using the vOICe. Specifically, I used Megasis (a Genesis/Megadrive emulator that lets you disable/enable different graphics layers). The vOICe is hard to use and gives you a lot of noise with complicated images, so using Megasis was practically a necessity. It's not too hard with, say, Streets of Rage (If not for the Z movement, it'd be a lot like audio sidescrollers in terms of finding things), but it's tricky for platformers (I took my laptop and got sighted people to help me figure out the write combination of layers and take screenshots just so I could make sense of one image fro Sonic 3... and Sonic is fast-paced and thus inapp
 ropriate for the vOICe.).As you can tell by the rambly mess, this is something I've played with a lot (but also succeeded at very little). It's frustrating.I think I made some sort of program to read data from Sonic save states, but I couldn't get enough of value out of it to bother releasing it. I could not find good enough information on how levels are laid out internally to create a navigation aid; I could maybe identify a few sprites and their positions, tell you your character, position and the slope you're standing on, number of rings, things like that. I had a dream a few weeks back where I dreamed that pandemic came out in podcast format, I was so happy and even decided to check if it came trew yet. hahaha. but strange. before january I used to allmost never dream. only like once in 2 munths or something and then it was all total noncense. but now I dream stuff that makes sence a lot of times and I dream more than usuall now I get about 3 dreams a week. It's always something different but there are always some things that usually wouldn't be. for example when I dreamed I was unbanned from star conquest, when I logged in my screenreader was saying different things than the log in screen. not much different but you can tell the difference. now since january I like going to sleep even more than I used too... I mean, we should have some variety on the kinds of missions available. The sniper one is cool, and so is the last man. But they are unfairly unbalanced regarding rewards and it is perfectly understandable due to their nature.Anyway I'll list the warehouses from hardest to easiest in my opinion.The chemical missions come first, followed by the stores. Then we have the camping and wather in the smallest warehouse and the big one at the end of the list. Odesk does, sort of.You get to define your workplace , prior accomplishments and such.But its usually more about feedback scores that you gain by completing jobs, so new oDeskers often go for the easy jobs first rather than the well-paying ones to rake in some feedback. Also you can do skill tests to prove you are well-versed in a certain field.As for how to present yourself well, write a brief but comprehensive statement on what you can do. Make sure there's no spelling or grammar errors in it, that comes across as being no big deal to you.Also you need to upload a picture, make sure you look inviting on it. Don't slouch or anything like that. BK3 is close to mario.  The problem is getting BK3-like accessibility into a Mario ROM.  As a rule blindie side-scrollers are pathetic by comparison to sighted ones; there are exceptions.You can get away with OCR on a lot of the old games-the letters are large, tend to be high contrast, and use blocky fonts.  I used to have some luck with this back when I used jaws, but it only works for plot.Scripting an emulator is an interesting idea.  Someone now gets to go write a scriptable emulator...good luck.  I don't know how you'd know when things have happened, though-there's no such thing as a signal or an event in the hardware to hook for notable "we must react" events.  I suppose this means memory watching, which means clever coding in your scriptable emulator at a low level; you can't just pole all of memory after every instruction, or no one will be playing anything.  I.e. you need, if in C++, to make a c
 ustom container that notifies of changes, or in C to modify the memory setting functions.I really doubt this can be done for practical purposes.  It can be done theoretically, but the community who would do it is this one, and I don't know of anyone in here with the technical expertise to even try.  You also need remaining vision to write such scripts-you need to know what is happening in order to find out what memory values specify it.  And god help you if the game uses some sort of dynamic memory allocation, and those addresses change (or even just between levels, for that matter).  I don't think the tools needed for this kind of thing are even accessible, which kind of ends such a project early on.  Rewriting them would take great knowledge of the internal hardware of the console of choice and a number of years-look how long it takes for Snes emulators to get to the point of being able to play anything reliably, let alone everything. 
  Making them accessible might be doable, but someone with MSAA/IA2 knowledge needs to do it; some of the emulators don't even use controls, preferring to draw overlays on your game for this information.  If someone has a mature emulator as a library, that might do the trick; I am unaware of any such projects.It is a good idea, in that it would be good if it happened; I strongly believe it is not a practical one, however.  I estimate that it would take 5 people with varying expertise at least a year of continual work to even have a functional prototype going, longer for it to be a fun prototype.  Each game would take a varying amount of time; for very simple things, a couple of days, for things like Zelda, months or longer to actually make it playable all the way through.  And I think, for once, I'm underestimating.  Perhaps someone will prove me wrong, and I am by no means saying I don't want to see it happen.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=165280#p165280

I think the large warehouse missions, under 25 crates, are easiest. The small warehouse, up to 35, are next (yes, even a 35). The higher-crate missions in the large warehouse are about equal in difficulty with those higher ones in the small warehouse, but if pressed, I'd have to say I find the large warehouse high level ones to be harder. I haven't done a chemical or warehouse recently, but when I tried them several months ago, I died on both, and I almost never die. So, those are hardest, but again, I haven't done them for a while.As to rewards, I have long thought a leader should be able to choose how many crates s/he wants to have to find, and where. The zombie count and AI used would increase according to the chosen crate count, as would the reward. If some crazy player wants to find 200 crates in the chemical warehouse, let them, but the AI will be that used on the highest-level chemical run missions and there will be a lot of zombies. Of course, the rew
 ard would be huge.New missions: I agree that more mission types would be great, so i'm really looking forward to this release. Here's a thought to stir up crate missions a bit though: zombies and crates. If a zombie walks on the same map tile as a crate, there is a good chance of that crate being broken. If it is, a new crate will spawn somewhere else, just like when someone finds a crate. When you get attacked, there is a chance that one or more of the crates you are carrying will be broken, causing your team to have to re-find them. This might only be in some mission types, and other people can probably think of better ways of doing this, but at least it'd be more of a challenge.I agree that skills need help. There is little point in weapon categories, since the increase for a specific weapon is over twice as much as for that weapon's category, so you essentially more than double your skill points' effectiveness by putting them in one weapon.
  Re-assigning things is also annoying, but I don't find it to be too terrible. What would help, though, is a way to enter a number, and have that many points go into the selected category. I don't like the idea of some points being fixed forever; I think we should be able to move all points around when we reset. As to the amounts of resets, what if it moved with your level? Levels 1-20 can reset once; levels 21-40 can reset twice; 41-60 three times, and so on. Basically, you can reset as many times per level as 20 divides into your current level. I'm not suggesting you can only reset once between levels 1 and 20, but rather you can reset once PER LEVEL between 1 and 20. Is that another stage whose secrets are controlled by the dial in 18-3? Because that dial changes a lot all over the place. I can think of quite a few stages that are changed by it, the abacus, the drops in 18-2 and what shows up in 19-1 just to name a few. I think the hyper yoyo showing up might be controlled by that dial too among other things you need. I'm pretty sure I've examined every platform and place in 20 and haven't seen it either. I wish there was a way to look or at leased get a warning when you are standing at the edge. I've spent more than two ours on the game today, where I keep getting killed all the time, and I was forced to count the steps and remember what coordinats I had to jump. Microsoft IME should be in that list. I've never tried installing the keyboard with NVDA though. You could just try going into the dialogue, selecting the keyboard with the space bar and hit OK, and then see if it appears in your installed keyboards list.Also, I will update the guide with the change keyboards step. Japanese audio games are easily some of the best around, far above what we've got available in the english market, and I hate to see people missing out on playing these masterpieces. There are several utilities out there that make playing these games very possible without knowing the language at all, and this guide will show you what they are, and how to get and use them.Note that this translation method is not perfect. Because japanese grammar structure is so much different than english grammar, words are often scrambled and ocasionally mistranslated. I can tell you from experience though, that it is very possible to understand the storyline, puzzles and mechanics of these games with a great degree of accuracy. I have beaten every game created by these 3 developers, and have understood the storyline of them all. I'm now level 9 and have actually used up all my fights today which is pretty awsome. and if levels go this quickly then it is possible you do level the same way logd does. The only thing that i'm now having trouble with is the   equip system. I can go into the armor and we
 apons shop and ask for the best, for my gold, but  while I can still buy a weapon with another equipped, if I try that with armor the  armorer says "you are already fully equipped" this would be fine if there was an option to quickly remove all armor, but the removal process seems pretty slow, indeed the inventory management is a little whacky since i hit I in the status screen, I then have to hit s for stop using, then however instead of giving me a list of what I'm using the game  continually tells me to press question mark for list, even if I know the number of the item I want to  stop wearing and type it I still have to press the question mark. So removing armor bit by bit is a pest.  I wonder if there is a  option that I am missing? I also found a map to the ice caves,  which instructed me to press I in the dungeon but then I get a message telling me the author didn't implement that area. I presume the 
 version of usurper we have running is the latest build? ie, the one from  last year. Lastly, if people don't mind another question, how do the quests and quest masters work, I don't seem to be getting anything out of those. I have some explanations about the limited time/logins thing. As you suspected, that is a holdover from the old time BBS days. And in those days, if you were very lucky, you had a BBS you could call that had multiple phone lines. But most of them just had one phone line. That meant that there could be exactly one person on the system at a time, not counting the sysop who might be sitting at the physical computer running the board. Naturally, time limits were put in place so one user couldn't hog up the system all day/night long and keep everyone else from connecting. Hi Ghost Rider.I will post a little tutorial here to get you started. First if you don't have it get goldwave from goldwave.com and install it. Now open it from the start menu and the help file will appear so you can just press alt+f4 on that unless you want to read it. Now you will be in the goldwave window. Now make sure you have a cd in your computer. Press alt+t and press enter on cd reader. You will be taken to a large window with a lot of buttons but don't worry this is very simple. Now shift tab back at least 3 or 4 times you should be on a button that says get titles press enter on this. Wait a few seconds then shift tab a little mor until you get to the listview of tracks. Now there is a button that will select or unselect all of your tracks. If you want all of the songs transfered you press select all. If you just want to select a few songs press unselect all then go back to the listview and press space to check the songs you want. After this go to save a
