[[wow]], I wish I had a talent looking for computers, I only have a talent in crashing them... Ive never gotten malwair before (Just ran Microsoft security today for the first time this year and nothing...)I just manage to ebliterate my windows OS and whatnot...But an expected computer life for me is between 3-4 years of hard use and this computer is going on 3.I think we will be going with the dell, but I really wanted a larger SD. Here are what my requirements:1. It must have an ssd and be quiet and fast. OK, download complete! By the way a few questions:1. In the music folder of the sounds, theres a post-boss music, whats that and when is it supposed to play?2. Did the elec.ogg sound be used in the game? I didnt know it did, the zap sound is definitely used, but what about elec.ogg?3. What are vanishing platforms? There is a seen in the sounds folder where Rusty said about it and there is a sound for the platform disappearing, but i dont think I encountered any (as far as in game and not post-game because i hadnt beaten the game yet)Thank you!

No, I know where he got them from. He got them from outside. Someone recently extracted all sounds from AAC, including music, so he put some of them in his stages. And also, Im doing a series of stages, called (stage of doom), and I think Ill put Rustys music as the bosss music.

Yeah, theyre postgame. In the arina theres a vanishing platform that will take you to Rusty. And I never noticed the elec.ogg sound, but some of the sounds are only postgame like the boss music. Because youll have to fight Rusty again.

The normal numbers on the keyboard, ie, the ones above the letter keys, do the same thing (Ive played entombed on my laptop which doesnt have a numberpad either, its just easier to understand the layout if you considder a numberpad or a phone dial, however if you can remember hold 1 for left leg, 2 for right leg, 3 for left hand, 4 for right hand, 5 for torso, and 8 for head then its fine.

Hi Niclas. Firstly no, the program doesnt update, but installing new versions isnt hard. Unfortunately weve not heard from Eamon deluxe in a while. the developer was doing some great things, both porting classic Eamon games to the system and making changes and improvements, and including some modern games people were writing (runcible cargo is an absolute treat), heck there are even some Eamon reviews in there by muggins as well, and with the exception of the need for xp to run it the gamehas some great access fixes (heck Frank was even asking what punctuation screen readers were bes with and describing ascii graphics). The problem is Frank Black seems to have fallen off the map again sinse last Summer and it is a real shame. I have cent him a couple of mails but got no reply, I hopehes okay and that we see more of the game in the future. All that All that being said, there is a lot there to do and some ver
 y memorable games, heck even the simpler ones are worth playing for some good old fashioned dungeon crawl treasurehunts.

I had the same trouble with shaking when I have it in my trouser pocket, not a problem in a jacket pocket so much of course.Dark, if your local Apple store sells Aftershokz Im sure theyll let you have a look. Cant hurt to ask in any case, and theyre not exactly a tenner like a lot of earbuds are. I dont tend to travel the country much but if I ever find myself in the region of Durham or you find yourself in the vicinity of Hull or Scunthorpe for some bizarre reason Id be more than happy to hop over and give you a demo.For some reason I seem to have particularly difficulty walking in a straight line, earbuds seem to make this worse even in my own home. I think its something to do with not being able to sense the acoustics of my surroundings as a cue so I veer quite heavily and end up facing entirely the wrong direction, sometimes as much as 120 degrees or so off course if it gets really bad. That said when I was sighted I alwa
 ys had serious coordination issues so maybe its all related.

Everyone has their own criteria for attraction, understanding it is just a healthy part of getting to know yourself. Personally I find if I like someones personality enough my tastes shift in other regards to fit around that person, which is a rather strange experience though one Ive got used to.I would debate that the human male naturally seeks out high pitched voices though, the stereotypical sexy female voice is husky rather than high pitched. It doesnt really impact me the same way which just goes to prove nothing is universal but there it is. As for disliking your own voice, heck do I know that one. Whenever I hear my own voice I swear I sound gay though no one else seems to hear it.

The trainer actually told me theyll usually manage to do something while on a free run so I doubt that would be much help sadly. In fact theres one or two quirks Kirk has I wish the trainer took a little more seriously, even after Ive brought them up, but theyre not really bad enough for me to want to make a formal complaint.

Which is still a laptop chip, and which is relatively expensive for a desktop of that power level. Apple seriously overcharge for SSDs in any case and I still dont like the inability to replace the drives if I feel it necessary at some later point. My current preference is for an SSD with the OS on and a minimum of 1TB for media and so on, by the time Im looking at replacing this desktop Ill probably be looking more at 3TB.Apple do choose good quality hardware components but buying a Mac just for the hardware is a bit of a waste, and Id much rather self build a desktop that I can upgrade and maintain myself than prat about with such a small form factor that doesnt allow user access.

Interesting.Obviously people are all different, but I think for me its more a matter of confidence; once Im sure theres nobody there to get in the way, and its my own home full of the things Im familiar with, how can I possibly be misled even when Ive got the cordless Sennheisers on? Im happy to drown out everything, for that kind of peace. Of course with people around, its implausible on a social level if not for a practical one, but regardless, my brother is often home and he too absorbs himself in his own stuff. Suits me, you know.

Well when I was young they came up with all kinds of theories about my coordination and clumsiness, from mild cerebal palsy to dyspraxia. I still think dyspraxia is the closest they came to figuring out what exactly it is with me but when they sent me to a specialist he insisted my maths was too good for someone to have dyspraxia. Dyspraxia mostly fits in a way but isnt quite 100 percent.

Putting aside Apples pricing, I think Apple made the right choice, from an engineering standpoint. Sure, if you want power for powers sake, buy from PC Specialist or whoever; theyll build you the biggest, hottest rig imaginable, and you get to choose a silver case to house the thing in. My Mac Minis are excellent for what I need them for, and Im frankly astounded that they perform as well as they do without putting out much heat at all. Id sooner use these to some feeble Atom or ARM-based boxes normally sold for the same purpose. And yeah, its nice that I have enough memory in here to virtualise multiple OSs, which just so happen to include OS X.

Whether this makes PMs different to email is not much of a distinction, as far as Im concerned at any rate, I just think it would be a sad loss. Possible solutions, or a combination of these, are:1 Add an option to the stage preferences that makes locked stages not displayed in the list of stages (at least for the play stage menu, but possibly also extended to the edit stage menu).2 Add the ability to press the first letter(s) of a stage to jump to it more quickly.3 Sometimes in the stage list the arrow keys are very unresponsive for some reason, but perhaps its just me and perhaps theres no easy way to improve this.

The normal numbers on the keyboard, ie, the ones above the letter keys, do the same thing (Ive played entombed on my laptop which doesnt have a numberpad either, its just easier to understand the layout if you considder a numberpad or a phone dial, however if you can remember hold 1 for left leg, 3 for right leg, 4 for left hand, 6 for right hand, 5 for torso, and 8 for head then its fine.

a question about blind friendly linux distributions

Hi to all Linux users on here,I have the Problem, that I want to try out Linux with an actual Distribution. But ever when I look to such things, I dont know whats most state of the art in regards to assistive Technologies and what to take. I heart that Ubuntu for example has issues in the latest Versions regarding the accessibility Features. Wich distributions do you recomment wich are actual in accessibility and not to difficult for a beginner in this Linux wolrd? Oh theyre certainly better than Arm or Atom, but theyre also about three times the price just for the bottom end one. Theyre fine for the average user, if rather pricey, but I value upgradability over the small form factor more.

There is vinux.org.uk which is a ready set up Linux distribution you can either install or run from disc to try it out, though Im not sure its being updated any more sadly. Aside from that youve hit on the exact problem Linux has all around, theres so many versions no one knows where to start.

A Visual Novel is a gamebook with pictures, sounds and music. While we wont get the pictures, the sounds and music to go along with the text is always nice. Steam VN Narcissu was the first to become accessible with a patch, now there will be lots more.So yes, thats what this is and will attempt to correct link above.

Hi,I agree, I think the, as you call it, sexy female voice, well, I dont actually like it. I prefer the higher pitched voices. In the past Ive been known to turn my head slightly and such if I hear one, but I have to be careful as I dont want to be like Im staring or listening in too much. Interestingly, I actually seem to find adults with this kind of voice to be a rare occurrence so Im glad whenever I get to hear one. I think that might actually be part of it, the fact that the voice seems, as I like to call it, unique and a break from the mold of these deep voices I hear a lot of the time.

Fair enough, although Ive never understood the price fixation. You might have a sporting chance, if you build it yourself (or get someone to do it for you). I doubt youll get much competition for the big-end MicroITX builders though.As for Apples other stuff, well, the big surprise is that the Mac Pro costs less than an equivalent DIY build. I dont like watching Apple fail to keep up with the market much for sure, but thats quite an achievement for the machine you get. Still way out of my league, though.

Hi all,So I was speaking to a VN creator on Twitter who uses the RenPy engine. Shes always wanted to make her games playable somehow, but suddenly Tom, creator of the RenPy VN engine, saw the conversation and told me that simply pressing V in games made with 6.18 make them talk. If not, apparently theres some launcher we can run. I just found this out. I guess we can test this out together.The link for this nightly build is:http://nightly.renpy.org/renpy-nightly- … 06-sdk.zipNow I just need to find a game that was created with this version, I presume.Edit: It totally works. Download the nightly build and extract it somewhere where you can find it, and run the RenPy application from this folder. This goes for Mac users as well because everything RenPy needs is located within this folder, so if you copy it to your applications folder it wont run. The only game that is included is The Question and The Tutorial, but the tutorial game isnt all there yet, for some odd reason. The Question, however, works great.Since this version isnt out yet, I dont know if there are any games for us to play other than this very short game, but I hope that can be rectified soon.

Well as I said, filters wouldnt be an option, especially in e-mail sinse to me that would be a little too Orwellian and beyond the scope of this forum. If I do decide to leave pms disabled its e-mail Ill recommend people use, but Im still not absolutely certain whether that is the best thing to do here or not given the social and aesthetic bennifits of the pm system as an on forum means of private communication. Nobody said shift with the numbers. You hold the numbers while hitting enter on the option to attack or cast a spell or whatever. if you dont have a numberpad you can use the numbers above your keyboard. I know Czech and other cerilic languages have some different letters , but I thought the numbers were the same.

Are the games actually playable with just the text? ie, are the pictures like pictures in a novel (like the ones on age of fable), just incidental to the actual plot and action, or are the pictures more like a commic ie, all the action is visual and only character dialogue is in text. Also, are these in English or Japanese?

Ah, fair enough. With reever it needed fixingsinse the back garden isnt precisely just mine but a large space of rass I share with people in the three other lfats in my block and the block next door. When I lived in colidge and had a set of cordless headphones I used to do some crazy things as far as going down the corridor to the kitchin, or even dashing up three floors (the block was on a hill), to pick up a pizza Id ordered. that was sort of hilarious particularly sinse between my wirless keyboard and headphones I could use my desktop from about 30 foot distance, and if I just used the headphones could still hear about 100 feet away. Generally if I absolutely need a streight line Ill line myself up to something, though usually either Ill see an object or know where it is in my own flat anyway Sebby as you said.Interestingly enough Cx2, the sanheisa buying used to cost thirty quid but now have gone down to twenty, though are still probably the best quality for the price range (at least according to the ones I tried at my very nice hifi shop), plus of course sinse theyre Sanheisa and not tied to apples weerd thing with the two
  ring jacks theyll work in any device (I still used them on my laptop at my parents as well as for my Iphone, even though now my laptop stays put and my Iphone is portable).That might actually be another considderation with the aftershocks sinse I doubt they will work on anything none Apple (silly Apple).

Im not actually surprised Aaron. Ive only had chance to play the first couple of scenes of Inquisitors heartbeat and it was fairly obvious to me that that was a different actor to the chap who played nicholas, (for a start he sounded much less unplesant). I was however rather confused sinse the announcements did initially list Eymerich as the main character of the game which was a trifle confusing. I also dont seem to get the controls or how the game works on Ios either, sinse rather than touching the screen I need to swipe up down left or right, and I cant get any other commands to work, though on one occasion I accidently deleted my progress. I dont know how to interact with objects or even what to do with the menu, actually the game I find a little mistifying, though Im relieved to learn that the different actor as the main character wasnt just a switch sinse my first thought on opening the game was [[wow]]! tha
 t doesnt sound like old nick! .

Hi all! Just letting you know that Ive purchase a new laptop running windows 8.1 and, in my opinion, its a great operating system! Ive just sed in my opinion because, using NVDA or the built-in Narrator, it is almost accessible in every part, from what Ive tested! So, there will bee many bugs and errors, maybe! But in my opinion, its not a bad OS! And I like Narrator very much! Its vastly improved from windows 7. There are many keyboard comands and the touchscreen is almost accessible with it!

Im not actually surprised Aaron. Ive only had chance to play the first couple of scenes of Inquisitors heartbeat and it was fairly obvious to me that that was a different actor to the chap who played nicholas, (for a start he sounded much less unplesant). I was however rather confused sinse the announcements did initially list Eymerich as the main character of the game which was a trifle odd, and whyI said as much in the news. I also dont seem to get the controls or how the game works on Ios either, sinse rather than touching the screen I need to swipe up down left or right, and I cant get any other commands to work, though on one occasion I accidently deleted my progress. I dont know how to interact with objects or even what to do with the menu, actually the game I find a little mistifying, though Im relieved to learn that the different actor as the main character wasnt just a switch sinse my first thought on opening th

It comes with an adapter but Im not sure what the adapters for, Ive also previously used Apple headsets with non-Apple devices without too much issue though not all devices seem to work like this, I suspect some of the sockets cheap out on contact area. You can probably get another adapter for standard 3.5mm if you need to in any case.Apples 3.5mm connector is quite nice if your device supports it actually, it gives you stereo sound and a microphone input with a single connector which would normally require two plugs. For a phone its ideal, I suppose they could have used the existing 2.5mm size for headsets but this way you can choose to use standard headphones or speakers should you wish which is a big benefit.

How deep do you want to get into this?Debian is an excellent binary distribution with a reputation for maintainability, because the package manager does all the work. However, its all policies and patches, so its arguable that you are not using a Real Linux distribution with vanilla packages. However, its a fairly safe heaven, with enough user-friendliness to get going.If you actually want to learn stuff, Id suggest one of Gentoo, Arch, or Slackware, in that order. You will lose many hours of your life, but when you come back to Debian--as you inevitably will--youll know how a good deal of it works.

You can actually get little remote adaptors, which effectively turn any pair of headphones into an Apple-compatible remote+headset. This is how I used to do it before Apple introduced their in-ear earbuds which are good enough for my purposes while out if I need that kind of intensity.

I bought them as physical CDs through Amazon, so not sure if you can buy them as downloads the same way as the ring tone packs and finale pack. Glad to hear you got it working though Personally Im quite satisfied with how the story ends, only a few minor Things that I wished were different, but all in all Kc managed to end off the series pretty well... Definitely not a Lost kind of ending..

Okay Ive had a play with tap tap see and my label adapter on my perkins brailler, heres what Ive found.Tap tap see can read the card name but it might take a couple of goes, even once you find the correct side of the card, and it seems to sometimes miss off a word. One card I tried it with was simply labelled griffin and I dont know what kind of griffin. Sighted assistance may be required.Im using the duel deck heroes versus monsters, I havent bothered with sleeves since its only a duel deck but they are easily available in packs of 80 and highly recommended if youre bothered about keeping potentially valuable cards safe, or playing in proper events at a shop where they might be funny about defaced cards. Double sleeving is best for which youll need to make sure your outer sleeves are big enough to fit the sleeved card in, the recommendation Ive heard is some kind of perfect fit sleeve for the inner and KMC 
 hyper matt for the outer. Triple sleeving is possible with certain sleeves but its probably overkill for our purposes, double sleeving both gives thicker protection and makes sure there isnt an open end where dirt or liquids could enter.The label tape, 9mm clear from RNIB here in the UK, sticks to the card well and should do likewise to sleeves though you may have to apply pressure to make it stick down properly. Dont be shy about putting the card face down and press on the back to make it fix, the braille seems remarkably tough. The amount of space available on the card is surprisingly large, you shouldnt have trouble fitting the name on in most cases though you may need to use contractions and go over two lines. Using the 9mm tape there seems enough space for two extra lines of tape, my thoughts would be using the third line for mana costs with the official abbreviations and some invention on our part with the fourth as the card type and any creature
  stats. Sighted players see one coloured symbol for each mana of a given colour, with another symbol and a number in it for colourless mana or a two coloured symbol for mana that can be one of two colours. Heres how Id work the mana costs.Official abbreviationsR redB blackW whiteU blueG greenFrom here Id use X as colourless. For hybrid costs Id have them next to each other for example WR would be one white or red mana, while Id have all other symbols separated by spaces such as W space R meaning one white and one red. Id use one X for each colourless but theres no need to separate these.For card types Id go as follows where dashes represent a connection between one or more contracted symbols.cr creaturein or in-st instantso sorceryln or l-and for landAr or ar-t artifactIve suggested two letter versions as alternatives if you dont know s
 ymbols such as the one for AR or AND, or if your local variation of braille uses other contractions than the ones Im familiar with.You can then go on to add any keywords you feel necessary such as flying, legendary and so on with whatever abbreviation youre happy with and could potentially even fit the creatures power and toughness in whatever way is clear for you. Vinux is really meant for beginners, it is built so you dont need to worry about installing inaccessible stuff to begin with and it tells you if something is not going to work. They also have tutorials on their website for vinux. I would say try out vinux first, then make sure you can use the console apps there before moving to one of the others, but that is just my opinion.And supposedly Vinux will have a new update coming out very soon...

Its hard to find games that work with this version of the engine. The Outbreak series at theoutbreakseries.com sounds enjoyable and is of course about a Zombie Outbreak, but pressing V doesnt do much.Do you know if this Dule game uses the 6.18 release? It seems that most are using 6.15.

Ah, if you bought the cds fair enough, sinse buying those from Amazon wouldnt be a problem. if they do a remastered season 4 or a full box set of the hole bundle I might actually do that in the future sinse its a good enough series to want a physical reminder of. Now, finale time! beware! Spoilers below! spoilers that will spoil your enjoyment of the finale with all their spoilerific spoiliness! so stop here lest you wish the finale spoiled by the spoilers! I really liked the Scratch plot, the resolution with all the characters felt exactly right and I also loved the fact that after huge and pyrotehcnic battles over both towers with rocket powered grenades and goodness knows what else, we just got a quiet but intense small group battle in the building. I wouldve liked Cj to confront Scrach again, but hay you cant have everything. I also thought the resolution with Bert and Rily was awsome,  harsh, but awsome! My problem
  was with the ink dispatching. The entire story was 70 minutes however nearly half was epilogue, this didnt really feel like enough time to deal with Ink correctly. I was looking forward to hearing him speak and maybe seeing some of his zombie labs up close and personal. sAul having a sacrifice was wonderfully unexpected (though I knew it was all over when he said he was going after the robot), however generally the sequence really didnt feel as complete as it shouldve done, heck the Prison or the Hospital seemed more major events which is quite something when your talking about the closest thing to a king zombie. Once Saul started fighting INk and Ink proved amazingly tough, I did wonder if the guys would go down after Saul and wed get more of a show down, but sadly not, and while what Saul did was great Michael sort of felt superfluous to requirements. The Epilogue was a nice idea and I like the fact that the framing story was rev
 ealed as Michael and co talking to Nicholas, a very nice touch. However I felt this hole segment dragged on a little too long and took up too much time. The Exposition of the zombies was nicely vague, while still providing a little more information, (though Id have preferd a better way of presenting this in the story than just Michael jawing about it), , but by the point Id finished that I really didnt care that much about whether Nicholas joined the guard or not, and the real point of that scene, showing what Bert, puck and Cj were upto and showing the protection symbol couldve been done without the all the prevarication,  indeed I was half wondering if the zombie Nicholas sighted with the rifle was going to turn out to be someone significant, particularly sinse we never saw Inks last project that Saul threatened about in the previous chapter. In general Im mostly pleased with the finale and feel it does indeed provide a go
 od end to most of the series elements, I just wish Ink got more of a send off, actually this should really have been a multi part story so that one full section could be devoted to scratch, and another to Ink. While Scratch certainly got her due (we even found out about why shes been missing so long), Ink didnt seem to which was a trfle disappointing and made Michael and Victor feel a bit unnecessary in the end, indeed I thought the appearence of Randy (though I did wonder if that would be Randy or Inks last project), was something of an anticlimax.So in the end, yeah, it was a good finale, but I do think they couldve done a better job, especially if you compare it to the build up and execution of past finales (especially season 1). Ill be interested to see what they do next. A seuqel to were alive would of course be possible, though as a fan of stories that end properly rather than trickle off into mediocraty, id p
 refer if it did have a distinct ending,  though other stuff set in the same world, perhaps exploring the new Mexico origin of the zombies, or the Texus colony might be fun, sinse surely Ink wasnt the only person to discover ways to manipulate the zombies for his own purposes, and there are definitely more bad people like the mawlers around. Then again, given the writing tallents of KC Wayland, perhaps a new genre would be a nice change, he could do a great job with any story that chucks a number of ordinary people into an extraordinary situation.

Any tips on beating the battleship in 13-4? it seems like my sky racer changes altitude too slowly to effectively avoid incoming missiles and gunfire. By the time I have moved out of the way of the battleships guns, waited for it to stop firing and positioned myself to fire at it, it starts firing again, forcing me to repeat the process. As a result, I can hardly get any shots in. Also, the missile that it says it will give me doesnt appear in the weapons menu when it says it does.

If you mean to speak, then Im afraid not. I am learning to speak Italian, and I know a little spanish from when I was at school but thats it.If you mean the numbers, as I said I thought! Cerilic languages like Russian, Czech, Rumanian etc used the same numbers as latin languages like English, (or at least the same symbols and keyboard keys though the names are obviously different), though I freely admit I could well be wrong about this.

If you donated to Driftwood (1 usd), youll get it. I have it and its not worth trying. I dont know if the moderators allow posting it here or not, so I wont give anything without their permission.What this cheat does is simply giving you a human drunk (a human brawler). He can gain experiences and have a secondary job, but he/shes controled by the computer. He/she comes fully equiped. But its not worth the try, as your score will be 0 along the game. And also, Entombed isnt that hard to beat.

Entombed not that hard? Well maybe not if you necro ice blast your way through or headbut assassinate, try getting a fairy through on hard mode.In entombed, all the classes are not equal. As regards cheats, well the donation button is still up so you are correct Roro, better people give Driftwood a dollar for the little easter egg, which is more a fun bit of nostalgia to people who played the very early betas of the game.

I dont know I once tried a set of earbuds (not made by apple but designed for the Iphone), that would work with nothing but. They had the standard 3.5 inch jack, but there was a limited number of rings that made them impossible to use on other devices, though I didnt know adapters were available to bypass the restriction.

I dont have a mike anymore haramin, so havent used Skype for years, indeed I deleted the program from my computer in around 2010 and I suspect my account has expired by now, plus Im not usually a chat software sort of person anyway. Im still not sure whether you could apply to the Uk for a dog or how much it would cost, I have a nasty feeling it is uk only but sinse the office was closed when I phoned this afternoon (it mustve been their half day), I will have to try tomorrow.
