It's sad to hear this news. I never knew Jim, though I talked to him via Email a time or two.Add me to the list of people who took steps to make sure his website lives on. I am in Twitter contact with someone who works at the Internet Archive, and I asked about the fastest/most reliable way to get an archive of an entire website. He said he's told an archiving bot to grab it, and it'll appear in the Wayback Machine.

@Golden shark,I didn't forget it But I still prefer to use the main website of facebook. I've spent almost 4 years using it and the last year I was forced to jump to touch.facebook due to the hellish speed of windows 7 and the freaking powerless firefox which would crash as soon as I would log in to facebook.Now that I'm on windows 8.1, everything works fine and I could go back to internet explorer with the main website of facebook.I've never, I don't and probably will never do like windows.You could use facebook messenger on android or iOS. It's extremely accessible.The problem is that some languages are not supported and chatting on facebook can be hectic for some people, for example myself.My language is not supported by neither android nor iOS, so I have to use eloquence on android to make everything underst
 andable.By "Language", I meant there is no text-to-speech available for my language.

I'm not sure if the specific items will load, but there is an alternative to the ufo catcher.  I actually stumbled on it trying to go back to an old flight mission landing spot, and the next thing I knew the level was playing the ufo catcher game music and items rained from the sky, seemingly infinitely.  I'm pretty sure this landing spot used to be soething completely different, but I can't remember what it was.  Or what triggered this to happen.  Haven't gone back to see if it'll load like that again yet but it helped build some of the more annoying to get pieces for the ufo items.

 ars I had always wanted an airplane game, I love flying.  One day I looked on the site, and their it was, I nearly cried.  I called him, and thanked him for making it, and I gave him some ideas for version 2.  Their's other airplane games out their, but you almost have to be a pilet, or have a great deal of understanding of actual flying to play.Remember his old bop-it game from the mid 90s?  I wanted a bop-it game for the computer, because I already had the original hardware game, he thought it was a good idea and went for it.  I vividly remember giving him the music that was used in the game, it's the south park theme music lol.  I also contributed to the original trucker game by sending him yes a wav file of Willy Nelson's on the road again using dialup internet at the time..A few times I was down on my luck, and he was their for me.  When I didn't have online access one time, and I was inbetween jobs, he

It all depends on if/when they drop XMPP support completely.By the way, you may not be able to interact with your fB friends via Skype anymore, but you can continue to sign in to Skype with your Facebook ID if using the web site:http://web.skype.com, or:http://outlook.comBTW, the interface to Skype For Web works very well, including on Chrome OS! Note: Chrome OS does not support Audio/Video calling yet. That's coming down the pipeline, most likely once Edge by MS is released.

And here again, is another facebook chat method gone! I know what fb is doing, they're tryin to push us to the inaccessible website. They claim they wanna help with accessibility, and that' great, but they need to also allow the third parties to develop clients as well. Actions speak louder than words. This same war is going on between twitter and third party client developers hence why followers twitterific of twitterific may or may not know why it would be very, very risky for them to release twiterific5 for the mac. Well, hope Mirand continues to work.

@momo. You have already mentioned this glitch. It has been fixt. But as you've been told in the past. Attempting to repeatedly ask for stuff, no matter outside or on the game, is less likely to get me to do it, so please, ask once. If I give an answer then and I say I need a rest, I need a rest. It doesn't mean come on the forums and ask me the same query, because your likely to get the same answer, and less likely to get the intended result. Getting back to the proper topic at hand, a patch has just been released to correct a few glitches with the 1.5 release, some of these included the unlinked phased beams from the new console system, the inibility to add rooms onboard a ship as was previously mentioned, and the removel of the other prompts besides the ship name in the custom starships prompt. Just have to say I bought a Victor and hated it, but this is coming from someone whose used to Rockbox which is, in my opinion, much more efficient, even if it spells filenames and can't do anything over the internet. The thing is just way too slow and verbose; there was about a 15-30 second wait every time I turned it on before I could actually play anything, compared to 4 on my Sansa Clip. Very frustrating, especially since I can get something that does what I need it to for about one sixth of the price of the Victor.

The Behemoth has occasionally shown up in special events, or in recordings of missions that are still being tested. So I kinda expect something to come of it eventually.Not sure if the Hulk/Tentacle/Flayer are still in the works or not.I've been using them in campaigns and the Swamp platformer. As of version 1.5, death match, a new beginning now has a new building system!Here is the proper way to build your very own starship with it!First off, you will need a lot of resources. You can get these resources by asteroid processing. In particular, you will need massive quantities of rare metal and iron.Next, select build a custom starship from the global galactic network menu, and give it a name. The more metals you have, the higher the hull. You need at least, 20, to continue.Next, board the starship you have created. You are now ready to build. Perhaps, although I suspect that certain items come up with more or less frequency than others in this one. Certain items seem to fly out of it, while there are others (such as the aforementioned magnet set and yoyo) that I simply canot get at all.

No, it isn't, although I was quite frustrated until a friend explained it to me.So you tap the up arrow. When the sound starts, hold the up arrow down. There's a big gap of silence, but eventually, you'll hear the train start to move. After far too long, in my opinion, you'll hear the Espeak voice say something like maximum acceleration reached. At that point, you can let go of the arrow.Which brings me to my own suggestions.I really think that it would reduce a lot of frustration if the train acceleration sound played immediately. If there is dead silence, how are we supposed to know to keep holding the arrow down?Secondly, I think it would be cool if you could hear stations approaching, so that you're not just stopping randomly whenever you feel like it. In this way, it could be much more realistic. When you get to the station, people will file off and on, and if you don't give them enough time to get off, or miss their stop
  entirely, they could get very angry.In addition, you should also be able to leave passengers behind on the platforms, and of course suffer their wrath.One other minor improvement I would like to suggest would be the ability to have a whistle. This is an essential feature of a train, and it would be really cool, although not strictly necessary, if there were different sounds for them. You know, like bells and whistles of different types of trains, such as the old style steam engines and so on, and you could select what kind of train you would like to drive before you begin.

Also, new players now start on inderion station instead of signis alpha. What does this mean? Well, I for one been having a very busy month this month. I don't look for things to slow down for a while so I doubt gamers will be seeing me doing much posting on the forum or Audyssey List.To begin with last Saturday, August 1, we had a small birthday party for my son Sean. For lunch we had barbequed beef sandwiches, baked beans, chips, as well as cake and ice cream. As far as gifts goes my son got a used Fender guitar, a few games for his Playstation, a new guitar controller, and some sort of sports console with all kinds of games on it like soccer, baseball, golf, etc.Today I went to the Coshocton County Canal Days Festival where we watched a parade, drank cups of fresh squeezed lemonade, and listened to a live band play country music. Besides that we also stopped off at a flea market where I found a couple of Playstation 2 games for $2 each. One was Snoopy VS the Red Barren and the other was Corvette Evolution. For dinner we stopped of at Arby's where
  I had a beef and cheddar roast beef sandwich , seasoned curly fries, and a big ice tea.If all goes to plan next Saturday I plan to take my son to the Holmes County Fair where we will ride the rides, look at all the farm animals,  and enjoy snacking on some over priced fries, ice cream, and hot dogs.Of course, a lot of that depends on how my cash supply is and right now that is not looking so good since I just got a $30 fine slapped on me by my webhost. According to them someone was discussing piracy on the Audyssey List so the webhost has suspended the Audyssey account and shut the list down until further notice.. In order to get things back up and running I have to pay $30 that was not in my budget for this month, and while I might be able to squeeze the money for the flipping fine that means I'll have to take it out of my son's trip to the fair or something else. I suspect I know which list member did that, which message they mean, and once I confirm 
 it basically that person has just earned themselves a lifetime ban. To say I am furious, livid, etc would be an understatement.In any case I have a couple of doctor appointments this month. While they are mostly checkups and so forth I do have to pay co-payments which is one reason money is tighter than tight. I am up to my eyes in doctor bills, medical expenses right now, so financially speaking I am in a lot of red tape.To give you an example. This week, Thursday, I was rushed to the emergency room. Turned out I had a kidney stone. Spent some time in their having x-rays, a cat scan, etc. The long and short of it is I just got the bill this afternoon and I have a $305 co-pay because my medical insurance didn't pay for it all. ?While I'm glad I didn't have to spay for the entire bill I'm still having to pay more than I really can afford on medical bills, and this week's trip to the emergency room is only one of many I am having to pay off
 .However, before I get on a rant and end this post on a bad note I will say things are generally going well as far as weekend trips and stuff goes. I have a lot planned for this month and being summer I am doing all I can to enjoy it.

Adding skill points just gets so bad that I wrote a _vbscript_ to do it for me. I have around 300 skill points a level and I just want them in HP.2. One gets way too many vials when they hit a load of them. Maybe 2, never 10 or how ever many there are, just make the high loot skill give you black all the time. What happened is that I just got like 50 vials every time because my looter was above 20, so I just got so many blacks and purples with the quick learner, mega mutant and the other stuff. It got to the point that my tail hit around 500 damage at level 20 and the strongest creature had maybe 1000 HP. The strongest creature I met was when I was like level 40 and it had 2000 HP in one of the dungeons. I koed it with my tail and got 500K XP. Because at this point it cost me 90K to level, I leveled like 5 times. This is when I thought to increase my wisdom from 20-500. I ended up getting something like 5M XP from each one of those creatures who were all 1 hit KOs.I think there should be a retirement for people who get to level 50 and they get like a cool graveyard that says they died in piece living their days in a village.But frankly, vials are way overpowered and they should be lessened in strength.Here is what I did:I first raised agility up to 5 and put one into hp. I then did 6 to give me one extra skill point. From that point on I could just do all 4 skill areas equally.I then max mountain climbing (16 I think) and get that up to 3 ASAP. Then I do 2 once and then work on 14. I get 14 up to about 3 or 4 if I can with mining then find a good weapon. Good weapons are anything over 200 damage. If you find a good shop, get a weapon that is like 5000 damage. I did find a 17000 dmg weapon in a shop at one time, but it is super rare. Also, while I am at the town I buy 3000 lock picks. I then leave and do every dungeon.Once my strength gets changed by vials I start increasing agility to try and match it. I do 6 a whole lot to give me lots of skill points and 14 for better loot. It depends on my weapon, but I sometimes do 15 for a longer use of a weapon.I split between agility and HP as I level and just leave wisdom behind. It is not good if you are drinking vials. I only drink red, purple and black vials. Once I get my dragon tail I stop drinking red because they can give bad effects pretty easy.(I say wisdom, but I really mean intelligence, number 3).I get to about 15 skill points a level, then go into loot completely. At that point looting should be around 20. Get it to about 30 and then raise skill points to about 20.After that it is kind of silly, you can play with everything. The coins will go up kind of fast, but I got mine up to 5 and thought it was pointless. Quick leveling only goes as high as your level, so I would get it up there and eventually I just did 2 and HP.

hey oriol, that was a nice update to the game, but somehow the random event where you get electrocuted is annoying.is there a way I can avoid getting electrocuted?the endless mode is great, I seemed to be getting the hang of it but the documentation doesn't describe the random events that happen in endless mode.What are the random events and how can I keep from dieing of thirst or hunger?

If i am on a page of the game, there are the text, then the available choices and the next button. If i swipe ones to right after the next button, Talkback says audio. Depending on what weapons you have, it shouldn't take that long. Using the chain sword from the synthesis shop and the super yoyo, I can beat the first part of 25-5 in usually close to 3 or 4 minutes. Always go for the light burner first so it can't drop those missiles / bombs on you. Then the massacred souls, master battery, bloody extinguisher and unknown energy, in whatever order you like. The unknown energy doesn't attack you so I just save that one for last, typically. As for the running part, it may be a general bug with strategy items, but I haven't had that happen to me yet.

Hi aprone.I really love the hammer, thank you for making it the best weapon in the game. But the only thing it needs now is to give rep when you kill things. Lots of it, like the winchester or ax do. With that, i will be invincible! Please do this, the hammer has saved my life so many times. Like yesterday i took a little road trip to m4 for some lute and because of the hammer i didn't die and could get what i needed and run to m1 again. Well i started on sub3 but anyway. Hello defender.First, I'm trying to get the AI to play the original game better, so Ithen will move to the CrazyMod.I tried to change it to work with the Crazymod, but it's so many thingsto consider and the AI starts playing worse depending on the race.The reason I've not included the modified crazymod in this file is thatit's so many races to change and I've not modified all of them torelease.Another reazon is that in some races, you need to do certain things towork with it, for example with the robots, you need to use  laser shipswith the cannons to attack. A part of this problem i tried to fix, butI've not tested it much.About the soldier sending, I've tried to fix that. It's maybe causedbecause the AI is trying to see if it finds some resources, or see if itcan beat the enemy.About the townhalls, the AI is programmed to build townhalls on farth
 erresources to save time for the peasants, but I've not seen a largenumber of townhalls except when there are 8 ais (wich isunderstandable) because of the large number of computer players.I think I'll try at least to see if I can make the AI detect when there areallied townhalls, so it doesn't lose meadows.

@Mayana, I won't say that thought hadn't occurred to me, even just a spambot advertising the game, but innocent until proven guilty. We've  occasionally had game developers of graphical games, especially mmorpgs turn up on here to advertise because believe it or not we tend to end up quite high on the google rankings when browser mmorpgs and such are discussed. So, developers come and try to promote their games, without realizing we're a forum dedicated specifically to games accessible to blind and visually impared people.Of course, as Slj said, if the devs want to discuss access fixes for one piece online that would be fantastic, though unfortunately some developers just seem to come, drop a post of adds, and leave without even seeing if what their promoting is relevant to the people on this forum or not (I thought the name audiogames.net made it pretty clear what this site is about, but perhaps not to some people). On one rather amus
 ing occasion we had a developer turn up, talk about their game with it's great 3D graphics, then when they were asked "is it accessible", responded with "I don't know why your asking if my game is accessible, it's run on the latest most modern server with no connection restrictions at all and should work on any machine with a modern browser" .Either way, at the moment my answer to the question "Are you playing one piece online today?" is "No I am not, but likely would if I could" .

Hey Oriel, thumbs up for releasing V2.0!In most ways, I quite like this new update, the game play feels more intuitive, it seems like there is more ammo, maybe even a bit too much but I need to play more to be sure, and the engine RPM being based on your HP is a  really nice touch too!However I do have to say that I'm not a fan of the food and water system, it doesn't make allot of sense in my mind, and it's a pain to keep track of 2 values at once, I wish it was something that made a bit more sense like fuel, but I do like the new mode over all, even though it starts out quite fast...  Especially those missiles! I'm also not sure that such a high point penalty for missing bonus items is a good idea, I'm thinking that it should be halved to -250, especially when you take into account that you also lose 1HP, which is something that I do like, and also that hitting a building currently takes away just as many points, which seems like a way bigger issue.I could be alone on this though, only time will tell. I noticed 1 small error in the documentation...  there are two sections titled 3.8. but that's obviously not an important issue, I just thought you might want to know...  Probably happened when you were modifying the Readme to reflect the recent changes, which was nice of you to remember by the way, allot of people don't think of it when a major update comes so soon after the game's initial launch, diddo for the inclusion of the changelog and scoreboard reset.Still hoping for a speaker test, since even though I have my own on my desktop that I created my self do to the sound design that I do sometimes, allot of people would have to go all the way to the speaker tester through the windows sound application to make sure of correct positioning, if they even knew how, which most people don't.  It also gives you another excuse to make an amusing skit!  One more rather cosmetic thing that I hope is simple enough to fix is that you can't skip the scene at the end when you win and go straight to your final score information, I don't mind it much even the third or fourth time, it's a nice little bit of work after all, but lots of people like that option and many of your other scenes, like the intro and exit messages, have that feature.I'm just wondering, but would it be possible to also have tall buildings come from the left?  I think it would add more to the game and it would make sense too.I'm really happy to see these new changes, the game is easier to play now and seems to be taking more of a shape as well, which is pretty cool!

@Mayana, I won't say that thought hadn't occurred to me, even just a spambot advertising the game, but innocent until proven guilty. We've  occasionally had game developers of graphical games, especially mmorpgs turn up on here to advertise because believe it or not we tend to end up quite high on the google rankings when browser mmorpgs and such are discussed. So, developers come and try to promote their games, without realizing we're a forum dedicated specifically to games accessible to visually impared people.Of course, as Slj said, if the devs want to discuss access fixes for one piece online that would be fantastic, though unfortunately some developers just seem to come, drop a post of adds, and leave without even seeing if what their promoting is relevant to the people on this forum or not (I thought the name audiogames.net made it pretty clear what this site is about, but perhaps not to some people). On one rather amusing occasi
 on we had a developer turn up, talk about their game with it's great 3D graphics, then when they were asked "is it accessible", responded with "I don't know why your asking if my game is accessible, it's run on the latest most modern server with no connection restrictions at all and should work on any machine with a modern browser" .Either way, at the moment my answer to the question "Are you playing one piece online today?" is "No I am not, but likely would if I could" .

Hey Oriel, thumbs up for releasing V2.0!In most ways, I quite like this new update, the game play feels more intuitive, it seems like there is more ammo, maybe even a bit too much but I need to play more to be sure, and the engine RPM being based on your HP is a  really nice touch too!However I do have to say that I'm not a fan of the food and water system, it doesn't make allot of sense in my mind, and it's a pain to keep track of 2 values at once, I wish it was something that made a bit more sense like fuel, but I do like the new mode over all, even though it starts out quite fast...  Especially those missiles! I'm also not sure that such a high point penalty for missing bonus items is a good idea, I'm thinking that it should be halved to -250, especially when you take into account that you also lose 1HP, which is something that I do like, and also that hitting a building currently takes away just as many points, which seems like a way bigger issue.I could be alone on this though, only time will tell. I noticed 1 small error in the documentation...  there are two sections titled 3.8. but that's obviously not an important issue, I just thought you might want to know...  Probably happened when you were modifying the Readme to reflect the recent changes, which was nice of you to remember by the way, allot of people don't think of it when a major update comes so soon after the game's initial launch, diddo for the inclusion of the changelog and scoreboard reset.Still hoping for a speaker test, since even though I have my own on my desktop that I created my self do to the sound design that I do sometimes, allot of people would have to go all the way to the speaker tester through the windows sound application to make sure of correct positioning, if they even knew how, which most people don't.  It also gives you another excuse to make an amusing skit!  One more rather cosmetic thing that I hope is simple enough to fix is that you can't skip the scene at the end when you win and go straight to your final score information, I don't mind it much even the third or fourth time, it's a nice little bit of work after all, but lots of people like that option and many of your other scenes, like the intro and exit messages, have that feature.I'm really happy to see these new changes, the game is easier to play now and seems to be taking more of a shape as well, which is pretty cool!

This is great news!The AI has steadily been getting worse as more things are added to Crazymod, probably because of the increased amount of possible parameters that came with it, which makes playing games with the AI E.G. the large majority of them, since finding people to play with online and setting up a server correctly aren't always easy... not very fun or challenging at all, which is a real shame since we have all these great new maps and races.Sometimes AI's will send 1 soldier after another after another at the same heavily defended position, seemingly learning nothing while doing little at all to build up their armies or infrastructure, other times they will just find a big goldmine or forest and exploit that the entire time instead of setting up automated defenses or forward scouts of any kind, and sometimes they will waste time building loads of town halls for no apparent reason, in some maps, several on the same square, while neglecti
 ng to build up any kind of attack force, or even building the structures necessary to start one, and they will never use true scouting tactics to avoid detection while circling an enemies positions to gain more information like a player wood, repair there damaged buildings after an attack, or use any of the multitude of skills, spells, and effects that make each race unique, though that's probably not in the programming at all at this point.I understand that SoundMud hasn't been on the scene for a long time, and that the AI documentation is quite sparse so Praggma probably hasn't focused on it  allot, so I don't blame either of them for this issue very much , but it's still really good to know that someone is actually working on it, since the focus right now is on long needed new features and slight modifications for performance and ease of use, and not, unfortunately, the effectiveness of the AI, though this I hope may change that.I gave you a thumbs up and I can't wait to see this new AI in action!

I thought I would be able to get round to transferring files from my computer to the iPad, but nothing seemed to work for me. Imagine that the video I needed to transfer was around 850 MB, so I had to upload it somewhere to send it to the iPad.I supposed  iTunes wouldn't be so bad.

That was the only thing that came to mind when I saw your problem; the one time it did that to me i hadn't allowed my previous speed drink to ware off first.P.S. I finally got past the biocontrol system and am encountering a 25-5 bug.When I make it to the running escape sequence, sometimes I don't end up with a speed potion activated. I'm not entirely sure what triggers it, but ocasionally on start I just hear the potion drop sound. I hadn't consumed any speed potions before hand or anything. Also it would be cool if there was a restore point like there was for 24-4, it takes forever just to get to the running part.

update on my progress of sakura wars: so long, my love:finally, I've figured out everything about the battle.when you move around, and you find the target, you'll here a little beep, or something like that.pressing the d-pad up and down will cycle through many things that I haven't figured out yet, but as far as I know there are 4 options, if I'm not wrong.I've figured out 2 options, the first one is to unleash a powerful attack, and the second option, you'll here a beep, same as when you've targeted the enemy, is to use a health item.whenever you loose some health, you can use it as much as you want.also, pressing square and circle will do something, but I'm not sure what it is.I think square is for defence, and circle is to recharge the powerful attack and health items.pressing triangle brings you in to menu.there are 4 options, end turn, return to combat, and the 2 other options I don&

Hi,This means that your sapi engine is not working. If you try to launch another game that uses sapi, for example Paladin or Psycho Strike etc, does Sapi work? If you don't have those games, try going into control panel, speech recognition, text-to-speech options, and see what your voice is set to.
